the big bore g444 Aaron built for me is by far the meanest saw I ever picked up. I put a foam filter on it and it was a noticable difference

run my mod'd 490 and 4910 topless using an air filter adapter from the cs-400. now my 400, 490 and 4910 use the same auto style air filter. got used adapters off ebay for ~$12 for each saw. thumbs up on the vid!

Nice that you got to play with the big saw. Good for milling and cutting big timber.

I bought a Portland from Harbor freight for $150. My neighbor bought a Sthl saw from Ace Hardware for $499. My Portland runs circles around STHL chainsaw!

for copies, it's best to change the sword and chain right away, since that's their drawback

Got the 620 full wrap it runs great echo are often overlooked but they are reliable great running saws that last forever or almost. Can't go wrong with either but the 620pw is built a heavier.

How is this holding up for you man? Been having a lot of complaints on the carbs lately. I’ve replaced a couple myself.

Just got my second one of these. I am having a LOT of trouble getting the covers back on again. Just like you did in the videos. The right side tightens down but the left side that goes over the chain sprocket will not tighten down. I can not get it to line up and fasten down evenly. HOW DID YOU FINALLY DO IT!? I am leaving it uneven and using it like that but I am very concerned that it may break down somehow from doing that. UPDATE! : I have discovered (accidentally) the solution. So here is the deal. When removing the cover to change a chain, loosen the nuts and then be sure the brake handle is constantly pulled all the way back and the cover comes off smoothly. And, when replacing the cover, once again, be sure the brake handle is constantly pulled back and then cover goes right on snugly. As soon as it is on push the brake handle forward again and you will hear a snapping sound as it locks into place. Now tighten down the nuts. The sound you hear is the small black plastic extrusion on the top of the cover moving up and down. There are two symbols below the extrusion indicating "brake on" and "brake off." HOWEVER, there is NOTHING in the owner’s manual explaining the necessity of holding the brake handle back to remove and replace the cover smoothly! (Also, the original chain is very poor quality-stops cutting well in a very short time. I ordered a 3 pack of Oregon chains from Amazon. Much, much better quality.

I'm too cheap to buy mufflers for saws. I ported/muffler modded a 365 x torq a couple weeks ago. I put a 1 inch pipe in the muffler like the clone saw has but bigger and welded the stock opening shut. The pipe is 2 1/2 inches long with only a 1/2 inch sticking out, it's not real loud with a nice deep tone. If you want loud make the pipe 1 1/2 inches long and only stick the pipe about an inch into the muffler.
