Just a walk around of my 1989 humvee that I restored, sold this truck about a year and a half ago. Was a good daily driver! I recently bought a 2005 m1097a2 that I will be restoring so expect more hmmwv content!
How to lift a Hmmwv

I've found better ideas for securing the fuel tank, adding rubber spacers/blocks on top of tank and then tightening the strap bolts will hold it firmly in place and wont require zip ties anymore. Also I was able to adjust the shifter enough for park to engage and lock the wheels, just takes a little time adjusting the shifter till it all works. transfer case shifter didn't need any adjustments ...

You end up building another one you should check out the stinger 10 inch head units hook up for cameras to the head unit and hook up my fire stick and look up video game games to the to the unit you just have to bypass something if you wanna use it while you’re driving I mean the passengers in the whole line of seeing people selling them for $1000 if you can get them for like $500 and something

Great build what brand Rims are they I have a Toyota Tacoma 2018 TRD Pro and I’ve never seen those rims for a factory 17 inch TRD rims with A/T tires 275 /70/R 17 it’s lifted 3inches in the front and 2 1/2 in the rear I want to go a little higher but I def want some rims where I can put some 35 inch tires I bought the truck in May I have not even supposed to thousand miles I always loved Toyota they last forever specially take care of them like that I was seeing on RUclips or buying the 2016- 2023 because this style was a game changer for them like up there that was out for a little bit they have all kinds of companies and they’re all over RUclips people putting their accessory‘s on and showing there builds on RUclips I know it’s funny first nobody was buying the 2024s because they have a four-cylinder with turbo and the Toyota tundra they went from a V8 to a V6 what’s the turbo Super charger my memory sucks from having Lyme disease but now I’m going to but a 2020 or 2021 tundra TRD Pro I wanna keep him now noticed online a few weeks ago there buying superchargers and putting them on the 800s and doing the long travel 400 hp stock with the with out the super charger A lot of people were into the Ford raptors they’re putting that supercharger on a V-8 Toyota and I’m not gonna lie I know that took off so many people doing now I want to grab one right away but I wanted to get a Hummer I wanna die wanna just do the work myself my brother has it pretty big auto shop they want to know where the Hummers are going What does the government has enough to worry about lol these days 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸I really love the color you picked as well

Oh and it isn't waterproof, i guess if you are planning to go underwater the water could cool you off? 😂
I wrote you a while back, my name is also Ben Carlson, would you be willing to share what type of paint you used? I tried the Bear flat and didn't like the results. I like the satin finish of yours better.
@@benjilacombe7478 hey! The paint i used was a custom mix that I literally combined myself, cant replicate it unfortunately, it was a bit of a mix of dark brown and dark forest green, to get it satin you'll need to tell the auto paint place to mix flattener into the paint. Best to find your automotive paint shop and combine those colors there with a tiny mix till you get it right, it's worth the hassle!

May be a werd question but could you get a hummer in gas?
@@llegacy1870 they made a few h1 hummers (civilian version) with gas engines, but no humvees, you could always swap in a gas engine though, seen alot of those done.

Great video. It's all about the details. Your presentation is well thought out. You did a 4-6L80-E upgrade. I would. and I bet others would too, like to know about that. Like how you got around the electronics? Throttle position, speed sensors etc.
@@sheltonsautomasters279 appreciate it! 4l80e is a good trans upgrade, I used the stand alone harness and TCM (transmission computer) from black dog customs, it just plugs right into the trans and gets powered from one of your 12v batteries. Throttle position and speed sensor I forgot about but I think the black dog customs kit had all that covered.

I just got a 1991 Humvee great condition & it’s Registered/ titled. I know it’s nearly impossible to get it titled but we met a guy that had it for sale & we traded for some construction work. If I were to sell it later on what should I be listing it for? Mint condition & low mileage + Titled, does that make it worth way more that it’s titled? Just want to know if I decided to sell it
@@sanng7639 honestly the best bet is to get on FB marketplace and see what others like yours are selling for around you.Titles are pretty easy to get with companies like dirt legal offering the service. M998's are worth a bit less than newer models, same goes for soft vs hard tops/doors. If it's a basic m998 with soft probably worth 15kish
