my friends and i saw a really large black cat when we was doing a marathon on yorkshire dales yrs ago!! its been seen n photographed many times.
oh this is so cool - you ever see one again?
I saw a big black cat following me when I was about 11 when I turned and saw it, it ran into a field of maize next to the track I was on. It was about 30-40 ft away and definately NOT a house cat, must’ve been 80lbs
@@wildcamcraig i was about 13/14 n im now 42 lol been long time since i did cross country for the county lol.
Wild sow and weiner mate
Now that this video exists dozens of people will want to take greys there
Edwards? Thats you?
I'm Craig
May define feral please
Feral is when a domestic animal goes wild
There isn’t a pine cone in the world heavy enough to make me “ done for”
😭😂 sounds like I’m being a hater i swear it wasn’t supposed to be
Trash 🗑 😅
Good stuff
💙💙💙
This was fantastic episode man, amazing atmosphere!
What a lovely video 😀. You have pretty much summed up the wonders of camping. Whilst I haven’t (yet) wild camped, I always tend to find places to camp that are very basic in their nature. I love the fact that you have all that you need - somewhere to sleep, warmth and food in your belly. I like the fact that simple tasks form part of your day and best of all your have nature all around you. On a recent camping trip in Norfolk I had the wonderful sight of an owl hunting in my field, really close to my tent - wonderful. And the night time noises are fantastic 😀 All in all it’s wonderful just being able to sit there and be part of nature with no nasty distractions. I have only recently taken up camping 4 years ago when I turned 60. Now that I am retired I try to go at least once a month. One little afterthought, have a look at the Trangia range of cook sets - they are fantastic, you have everything you need (pan, pots, kettle and stove) and they all stack inside each other in a nice small package. The spirit burner runs in bio-ethanol, so is reasonably environmentally friendly. I’ve also noted you do street photography - this is something I have recently started to enjoy. Sorry to waffle on a bit! Obviously, new subscriber! 😊
Henry thank you for much for your comment. It's lovely that you're managing to get out, it's fantastic. I've not yet camped in Norfolk but I'd love to. Thinking perhaps a forested beach camp in the north?
I don't approve of campfires. Leave the badgers alone. "Leave no trace." Learn to be responsible.
Did you watch the video my friend?
@@wildcamcraigYes, I did.
I knew they were in danger to go extinct but I’m glad to hear they ok now.
Did hear this on podcast this week, I had no idea. Only option is protection through isolation in Scotland? How sad for the native squirrel population, they are gorgeous little critters.
i saw one today! ... it spent about ten minutes swimming around me on a streambed, sniffing at me, up close ... not pleased to see me i suppose but not too alarmed ... then it just went about it's otter business as evening fell
oh how beautiful! Where was this?
@@wildcamcraig It was in a small tributary of the Severn, like a steep-sided stream going through farmland. I found three burrows in an old railway embankment, then went down to look at stones in the shallows. The otter jumped down from the embankment into a pool right in front of me, looked at me and sniffed hard for my scent. It crossed the stream a few times and sniffed from each side. The distance was, I'd say, less than 10 yards. This continued several minutes. I suppose I should go back with a camera?
Red squirrels And Englishman... Same goes for immigrants
Did you have a tug in the sleeping bag?
It's over redbros...
Yeah I think a lot of it had to do with money.
Cant beat being out within nature
I’m so confused, is this a PSA? What exactly is your point, be kinder to the planet? I haven’t slept in almost a week. At some point my brain or body will give, then rest at last!
where it has nothing to do with the police and they wouldnt normally be involved. civil means civil and not criminal. the UK police only deal with a criminal offence. America police should watch this and become educated.
As far as normally seeing colors red and green are opposite so yes they will have extreme contrast
Aw I love ENGLISH red FOXES in the WILD
Sus scrofa domesticus DOES have tusks ! Some of my boars have had monstroustuks. The main difference is that domesticus gets proper FAT, whereas Sus scrofa is generally lean. Rotavating is mechanical cultivation, what boar do is rooting, orsometimes, “Rootling”, which stirs up the seedbank, and encourages germination of long buried seed.
You let yourself down with poor research, for example the deer you show are Fallow deer( Dama dama), but you label them as Roe deer. You say that Lesser Horseshoe bats emerge from their roosts to forage for vegetation ! They are insectivorous, like all our native bats. It’s an interesting film, and I enjoyed watching it, but by including such glaring errors you are loading your critic’s guns for them ! Find yourself a good editor, or some expert advisers.
I appreciate this comment. This was my first piece of wildlife documentary I'd ever made. My more recent ones aren't as high budget, but the research is absolutely solid. I would love to know what you think of the Boar or Squirrel film?
I acctualy came from Bosnia and Herzegownia and we have them a lot there
who are you?
that’s an incredibly good question
@@wildcamcraig It is ok
7 likes is mad
That’s a 700% increase on what I’m used to getting so that’s a win
You didernt even show the sleeping bag and kept stopingg
If you click the link to the full video you can see the whole setup :)
I LIVE IN THE ISLE OF WHITE
In between they will eat people. Then people will reduce all carnivore population down again. Circle of life I guess…
The argument is that there is such an abundance of prey species (roe deer, grey squirrels etc) that predators wouldn't even consider eating humans. There's never been a recorded incident of a lynx attacking a human ever, wolves rarely ever look a human in the eye. Bears would be dangerous, yes, but it's all about respect and education
@@wildcamcraig Agreed. I love to see wildlife in its purest. People are the problem and their livestock. There’s a reason why a lot of natural predators have been or nearly wiped out by humans various times. However, more than likely if a predator does attack a human it’s usually people who don’t consider or even know that these re population programs are in full swing. We however as people have a very low tolerance for something that costs us money so it will happen over and over again. Like I said circle of life.
My salt cartridges say different... 😂
What's a salt cartridge?!

Nah, that’s illegal bro
Canon A-series cameras are microprocessor controlled. They need current for everything. They may look mechanical but that is just the user interface.
In Belgium there are laws against stealthcamping or wildcamping, but you seldomly get a fine (at least if you have respect, don't tresspass or leave a trace) I've been arrested once and got off with a friendly warning. Most people don't really mind, even police.
your very funny
I'm bit confused about this stealth camping. Are you not allowed to sleep outdoors on private land? Is this why you were anxious about the digger? Where I come from, it's perfectly legal to camp everywhere expect some nature reserve sites as long as you don't bother anyone.
In England , there isn’t any wild camping laws due to government and local authorities , In Scotland we have e a different attitude , if you have land owners permission you can camp , it the land is wild , leave no trace , set up at night , break camp down at dawn if it’s a specific beauty spot that is popular
yeah so it's illegal to camp on any land that you don't own, however the law is a civil law not a criminal law. Meaning that it is forbidden, but you won't be prosecuted for it
Brother from another mother..subscribed.
appreciate it so much :)
Great video, Craig. Thanks!
you can see how much you enjoy the outdoors, love the videos, keep them coming!!
F AF
Hmmmmm. Are those wild boar toilet trained?
Being a dickhead and total dumbass should be a criminal offence though 🤣🤣🤣🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻💩💩💩
Unfortunately, there is no incentive for land owners. There is definitely more campers that take the piss than those that are respectful. Just walk down public footpath & see how much rubbish is left.
Have you tried going on public land?
There isn't really a such thing as public land in England
I don't know why he's addressing his complaint to the Spanish (about us, here) "Privado De Casa" stapled to high chain link fencing every few yards all over Spain. Miles and miles of it.
Whats the point your trying to make >?
Oh dear
Same everywhere, you're only as free as the law you're willing to break
