Просмотров 2922 года назад
The attic at The Lansdowne posed multiple challenges in the asbestos abatement project. Ductwork ran from the main chandelier to the wall between the lobby and auditorium in the attic. The ductwork supplied heated and cooled air to the theater. (Please note-if you were a patron of the theater or attended any of the Historic Lansdowne Theater Corporation events you were NOT exposed to the asbest...

Sadly most of Philadelphia's and most of once great suburban theatres are gone forever. Because of Matt Schultz and his staff, the Lansdowne is well on it's way to being beautifully restored to it's original state of being. Please donate anything you can part with because the reward will be forthcoming by helping to save this important piece of our history.

This is an amazing rebirth of a once great theater. We all need to sincerely thank and applaud Matt Schultz for his amazing efforts in making this all happen. Had he not decided to get involved, I fear that the building would have been demolished and we all would be at a sad loss of not preserving this wonderful piece of history. Please donate what you can because every dollar will certainly count!

Thanks you, thank you and did I say thank you, Matt for your amazing efforts to save The Lansdowne Theatre. You are one incredible person! So great to see this restoration moving forward. My wife and I, our parents and my grandparents sat in that wonderful movie house and have cherished memories of that and Lansdowne in general. There is no way better than to show our appreciation and gratitude for your efforts than to donate whatever we can to help move this wonderful project ahead.

We moved to Lansdowne in 1970 and enjoyed the Lansdowne Theater for many years until its closing! We are so proud of the group who work so very hard to save the Lansdowne and wish them and the theater much success in the future of this endeavor!
