Hi - what brand of hood do you have and are you using a glass cheater or plastic and is the hood auto darkening

fm3design.com I’m using a Sarges Pancake and lens is auto dark 10 shade. And I believe its plastic but I have some that are more dense and breaks it doesn’t fold like plastic

I was told to don’t use a cheater on the inside but I’m not sure about that

@@xKitKatx- Hi - sometimes the plastic will reflect off of the inside of the auto darkening lenses and you might try to use a cleaner that has non reflective properties also I use glasses and have had to be careful of ones I wear while welding as they respond to the reflection also

Hi Michael - OK this will sound nuts but -> 220 single is really 2 - 110 circuits of 2 poles of the generator and 3 phase has 3 configs - that come off of 3 poles of the generator - config 1 - called wye wiring and is more commonly known as 110/208 were all 3 legs are 110 and crossed will be 208 - config 2 is wye/delta were you have 2 - 120 legs and 1 - 240 leg - when you find which leg is the 240 then you can use the 120's for single phase - be darn careful as live juice is dangerous - then config 3 is delta and that is 240/240/240 many times without a ground and you would have to use a transformer to generate the 120's and the ground for single - delta that I use is up to 600 volts and I am darn careful with special tools and protective clothing to hopefully keep me alive if there is a explosion - so I know that's a lot to think about but there are 2 configs that can work. thanks for interest - art

Hi - the base was part of the saw - the wheel mounts are made of scrap 4x6 tube .250 wall - purchased the wheels at Industrial metal supply in Tempe AZ - I used the other band saw to shape the wheel brackets - the shop is only 2800 sq ft but so much equipment in it almost everything has to be moveable easily - thanks for asking - art

Hi Brian - We have discontinued the manufacturing of the shelf due to low sales - many people loved it but not enough to keep the product in stock

I agree - there are many different items to tune depending the welding type position and such - this is a basic explanation and hopefully helpful - art

@@fmdesigncom I used to work in a small shipyard building Aluminum catamarans 6 years now running pulsed Mig on 5086 material

Running Ar/helium mix IMO is the best gas choice for Aluminum

Hi - if you wear glasses there is another model that you can wear glasses with and this one requires a special set of lenses that fit in side so please check

Hi Sammy - Thanks for the inquiry - the cost is $350 for the 100 lbs kit and $375 for the 200 lbs - there are 2 weight ratings 100 lbs and 200 lbs and we can build to 500 lbs - most people find for the flower business and light package the 100 lbs is fine and people who use it for grocery delivery and heavier package delivery are going to the 200 lbs kit - the cost difference is just the cost of more aluminum - I you would like call me at 623-321-4195 and I will be glad to discuss the options with you.

@@fm3arthur okay great because I'm going to welding school in July and this seems perfect for what we're going to be doing

I would not advise welling overhead with stick or Meg with this this is more for a pipe welder to get his head in a very tight position it's not a shield that you would use all day every day only in certain situations

That's good to know Rob, I was thinking about upgrading to Invision 352MPA, Dual 74 mpa Plus. I do about equal amounts of steel/ aluminum so I thought the dual would save me from switching back and forth..

I've thrown Gtac codes for the drive motor in the aluma pro plus gun the damn plug rattles loose
