Did I miss something? I'm working on a similar project and, in my case, is trial and error... I have to change the USB pump to a 12 volts one, but I am about to buy an adapter for the battery that steps down the volts, from 18 to 12... Does it sound correct?

I have been following this build with great enthusiasm. I have purchased all of the components and have very thoroughly wired all of the components as illustrated in both your schematics and pcb layout. Unfortunately, after putting everything together, I have burned up two arduino nanos and one stepper motor driver. Do you still have any more of your designed PCBs available? I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to aquire one so I could finish the project. I would be willing to pay for the PCB and provide a FedEx label to ship it. If you don't have any more, would you mind sharing where you ordered it from so I could get them to fabricate one for me? Thank you again for sharing this great project with all of us and look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks!

Not a fan of using a lighter instead of proper hot air gun to shrink heat shrink tubing, but plenty of people do it. The rest of of build seems like fairly nice work, except then you use PLIERS to crimp on your terminal lugs instead of a wire, crimper? tsk! sk!

Nicely done. The pop of the component probably cause by putting too much power to the current capacitor. Bring it down to about 12v would work out beautifully. Other than that, nice control to the fan you install, and the radiant cooler is the key. You put that on there instead of the ice. Brilliant!😊

Will just mention as time may have changed things since this was posted. 1) The listed part for the PVC ring ends up getting you a piece that is the same size as the elbow and therefore, will not fit together. 2) The fan listed has a bolt supplied that is much larger than the hole in the radiator. I had to look at the video very closely. Radiator is mounted with two screws on opposing corners and fans were mounted with only 3 screws. At first, it seemed like the fan screws should have gone through and into the matching holes in radiator. I am going to combine this with another design I saw and see if I can build a platform for the radiator so that it is in the lower half of the cooler. Less wear and tear on the hoses as I am also puts foam insulation between ice and radiator so that the ice does not melt as fast. foam mentioned in other comments. Less work to do as illustrated however.
