@@kyleisreal_tv Getting the true TM 1 experience there my friend. Speaking the absolutely truth about games of this era. Yeah this game will definitely humble you at first. With more time though the game feels much more fluid and easier to deal with. You made a good choice picking up Grimm, he’s goated in this game. There’s a reason I always go for that setup with Minion to trap him in that corridor. Fighting him head on is absolutely not worth it lol. Especially helpful for big cars like Darkside and Hammerhead so they don’t get caught in the Minion homing missile spam spin cycle. Glad you enjoyed it, it’s one of my personal favorites. As for TM 2, best advice I can give is prepare yourself for an all out slugfest. The game pulls no punches and is never afraid to show you just how far it will go to take you out. If you need a good starter car, some good picks would be Warty or Axel. Warty for the armor and simple to use special, and Axel for the insane ram damage and good handling. Overall it’s a very fun game, just prepare yourself for the mother load of mid 90s jank.

@ hell yeah I’ll probably end up making a sub goal or something for twisted metal 2. And oh I know about all 90s jank grew up on fucking donkey Kong country and I had somebody donate for a little game called heart of darkness and I’ll tell you what I died like 417 times before I finally beat it laughs. this was probably the first racing game well combat racing game. I suppose I ever played and I had a really good time with it, but I did rage a little bit. Lmao

Going back to TM 1/2 honestly helped me brainstorm new strategies and tactics I could try before I did this run in terms of AI manipulation. While all the games are a unique experience, there are certain things that transfer over between them that you can pick up and get new perspectives on how to break them.

@@damiensdarkcorner7924 Honestly, if she didn’t have the ram cooldown where it doesn’t do damage for a few seconds after using it, she’d be fine. It does good damage with tslides, just can’t be continuously used to follow up which hurts her output. That, and the fact that it doesn’t do any damage at point blank. Even with that she’s still really good, just could be even better with these tweaks.

@lordraiden1038 At least to compensate that she could do more damage without slides, sometimes sliding can be lethal for you (that killed me sometimes). But she is still my main.

@@damiensdarkcorner7924 PS4 version is no different from the original in terms of gameplay afaik. You’ll notice I’m constantly ramming into people with her before using my special. It helps to slow them down and makes it much easier to trap them in your special. Something good to take note of is in this game you don’t take damage when ramming into someone, outside of running head first into the front of their car. Makes this strategy with her much easier to perform safely and without damaging yourself. Also, you’ll notice when I’m planting mines on them in the special I’m always slowly driving backwards. This is the safest and easiest way to do this in my experience without having them bump into you while in the special. Works even with multiple people stuck in the tornado. Only time it’s really risky is when using your special on an incline, or doing it to Minion and DT.

@@Xaiux Yeah when you can get like 5 or more of them in there fast it makes the level a breeze. Same thing with New York if you can get them to come to the ledge so you can bounce them off. Thats a big reason for why I enjoy doing these runs, it’s fun to brainstorm and find out new strategies to break these games like they broke me as a kid lol.

@@ArcadeLink Thanks brother! He’s pretty solid in Head-On and apparently broken in lost according to some speedrun buddies of mine. I thought he was good in 2012 too back when I played that, although that was mainly in casual runs and multiplayer.

@@yumyumpancakes5025 You’ve hit the nail right on the head there lol. Situations like with Outlaw and that Dark Tooth Head fight are as nerve-racking as you’d expect. Especially with Twister’s limited health pool.

@@michaelmathias2930 New tech discovered by a fellow speedrunner Insamity. Basically if you hit the downed Tanker with multiple weapons at once, each will count as another tanker hit towards Warhawk’s shield. So, if you hit him with the instant satellite which hits thrice like seen here, Roadkills special, Manslaughter’s special, Reticles, etc, you can destroy his shield in one tanker. In the runner scene we had tankers which hit the shield multiple times in one explosion, but we hadn’t figured out why till now. @@ArcadeLink Yeah they’re just chock full of surprises. My favorite is when they just keep dropping satellites on ya, especially in small areas. That on top of the annoying freeze spam. One of a kind AI truly.

@@danielalan3751 Secret health spots discovered by me and others in the TMF discord about half a year ago. Just have to jump in the right spot and you get roughly 40% of your health back and they regen every 30 seconds. There’s one on every level besides Skyscrapers.
