I also like the idea of water as ... what? Not really metaphor or analogy or symbol, but something more embodied than that. I mean we're mostly water, so, it would make sense that we experience like water or as water. I think you're on to something with the surface idea. A long time ago I felt that all I was encountering was surfaces and I told this to my wife and she said that all she wasn't encounting was depth, and that really sort of stumped me. But on my walk this morning when I encountered a tree, wordlessly, I felt a sense of knowledge of the tree through identification with it, which seems to have something to do with what you're talking about here. I can speak of the surface impression of the tree, which is the same thing that a materialist might talk about, but I am not feeling it or thinking it conceptually, I'm not counting it, but feeling it wholly, in some sense, in the way that water feels itself wholly because it is whole, and yet at the same time It can reflect on its surface with the air. So yes, the tree is a surface but it is only the whole of reality that makes it so. So, this vision seems to be something like the opposite of a narcissist's vision of seeing mere flat surfaces everywhere, to be manipulated or ignored.

Really like the idea of soul as intent, in a sort of subegoic form. People talk about "choosing" to incarnate and that's always seemed like wishful thinking to me, but soul as mere intent towards existence, that's getting close to existence itself, existence without an exister.

If existence is itself a sort of terrible prison due to its limitation on consciousness, then good is the acceptance of that, because it allows for existence, or life; and evil is the rejection of that, because it rails against the limitation, which is then, against life. But, although it is not good, but evil, it is not wrong.

When in a difficult situation, this may actually work. You can convince yourself that you're feeling good, not bad. Like in a miserable situation, not necessarily in a fight. This kind of mindset or state of mind is what gets me through difficulties in my mind, but sometimes, I forget that these tranformative types of things exist, so I end up depressed. I experience this a lot with driving. That point of perfect balance where all that’s required to change the position of the car in space is application of or relinquishing of throttle; slip angle manipulation essentially, but yeah I’ve always been able to allow the car to be come an extension of my body, and do the same with nearly every other tool or instrument I’ve ever used. It’s cool to hear a vocabulary for what I’ve always just assumed had something to do with my physical and mental construction. I also used to experience this when I was young and spent many hundreds of hours in pools or in the ocean with a snorkel; I never had the language to articulate what I was experiencing or noticing until now. So thank you for your work in this! Being involved in the orthodox mysteries as well, I’m curious how the application of this concept can be done without spiritual harm, or if I’m simply just more married to fear than I am to God as of yet.

Dead air isn’t really a problem with less than 5 feet. You can tell if the air is exchanging or not. The increased pressure also seems analogous to increasing the voltage so I think the air is just being drawn through the tube like electricity through a wire. Very easy to almost stop the tidal breathing and still get enough air but yeah, just pay attention. Was never an issue with me. I breathed for 20 min through a 17 foot tube with the spO2 meter on and it seemed to not have any impact. I think it’s probably similar to squatting. If a person tried to do 350 without training up, they would probably die and blame gravity and come up with means of avoiding it.

how do you deal with the dead air problem with a long hose with long durations? btw i've been experimenting a bit with some friends but only using a snorkel. also experimenting with myofascial release while someone is floating underwater.

I like this topic very much. You need a closer so the video doesn't just end abruptly, some kinda catchphrase. You got it a bit twisted. We eat and use the cows not because they are dumber than us, but because they don't live as long as us. Humans all live the same relative amount of time. There are no elites. There are people who have had epiphanies you have yet to have, but don't think they are somehow inherently better in any way than anyone else. You've probably heard me say this but human nature is people act as if what they believe to be true is. So you can convince yourself of almost anything and once you fully buy into it, you will act like it's real, for instance, if you belive ghosts are real, you might get scared if I take you into a creepy attic or basement. You don't have to eat someone else to gain their power. You can do that simply by learning to mimick them. Stay on the path of the good. Come out of the darkness and live in the light like Thoth said. The people who hold themselves above the rest of humanity are sick with supreme ism and demons. Got a random youtube recommendation on this video and really enjoyed it. Ive had a big pull towards restoring my christian faith the past year or so. Ive heavily considered joining the Catholic church (raised Methodist and wife is Catholic) but the more ive researched the more im pulled towards Eastern Orthodox.
