    Can you stand more into the net and swing longer clubs like driver? Or does the driver hit the top of the net? Would love if you could make a set up and dismantle video and time it? :)

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 6 дней назад

      If you actually stand in the net then any club will hit the top of the net. The longer clubs mean you need to stand a bit further away to avoid catching it with the follow through. Although I have done that before everything is soft so no real risk if you do catch it. You can just start close and if you catch it move a little bit further away. For take down and put up, maybe when it gets a bit warmer. It’s a deep freeze here in the north west of the UK 😂

    Thanks for the review, I myself am intrested in getting the MLM and a net for hitting at home in my back yard to save $$$ on going to the driving range for my practice sessions, granted I'd still have to go to the range to practice things like my putting, and chipping, but to practice my long range shots I do very much want to get this thing

    Hey there, great video! Just a quick question: what’s the distance between the front of the net and your ball placement? I’m worried that if I top a driver, the ball might fly over the net and break someone’s windows.

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 2 месяца назад

      @@capitanrdc99 roughly a yard away. I would suggest it is like the overhang at most driving ranges (in the uk anyway) if you don’t hit the roof of the driving range then you’re okay. Unless you are a beginner and sometimes struggle to make contact with the ball I think you would really struggle to hit it over the net. It is hard though because if you feel uncomfortable and nervous it is hard to swing properly so I appreciate it is not easy.

    Hi Nice review! I was looking at getting one of those Forbs mats. What kind of base is on that mat? On the Forbs website, it gives 3 options of (1) Mat only, (2) Mat + Standard Base and (3) Mat + Pro Base. They don’t make it clear what kind of mat you’d be purchasing. Also, is it foldable when putting it away? Thanks!

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 3 месяца назад

      Mine is the mat + standard base. I mainly went for the base because otherwise the mat moves a bit after you hit shots and so if you are using a launch monitor it moves out of alignment every 5-10 shots maybe. And no it doesn't fold. I just stand mine up against the all in the shed.

    Hi, I have been considering this net as my current 3m cage isn't easy to pop up and down. How far are you hitting outside of the net? And is there a risk of hitting the net with your club? I'm 6,4 and have quite a wide swing, so thinking about driver mainly.

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 6 месяцев назад

      I usually have the ball around a yard away from the front opening of the net. I personally have never hit the net including with driver. So even if you felt at risk with your swing I think 1-2 paces would be plenty

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 7 месяцев назад

      I haven't taken it down for a couple of months, I assume the main reasons you would need to take it down would be 1) the weather weakening the net which is why I use the baffle net and I do take that down every time and 2) storms moving the net around and possibly damaging it. I am able to tie it down quite well and it is reasonably sheltered but to be honest because it is a net I don't find that it really gets blown around much and it gets pretty stormy here! I wouldn't leave the baffle net out though because this does blow around a lot.

    Super interesting. I'm in the US and got an MLM for range use as half the time TopTracer is broken. I'm seeing quite a lot shorter with the MLM even when set to range balls. Going to try to do some testing with it using premium balls and see if it's closer!

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 8 месяцев назад

      Yeah I think it is a great test to do. From my testing it did not do a great job at compensating for the fact it was a light range ball that didn’t go so far. In a net it is great though so I’m sure with a premium ball it will work well

      Yeah I think it would be ideal! Unfortunately for me they don’t supply to the UK and the shipping cost is a bit crazy, especially every time you need to replace the impact bit. I normally just use foot spray on the face to keep track of strike but divot board would be better I’m sure

    • @TRGolfVlogs

    • @lpcwork

      Its like £12 per 100 balls at top tracer/trackman range these days using 2 piece golf balls. Adding the cost of 3/4/5 piece golf balls in the mix your killing the business model, No one but people with silly disposable income is going to be paying £15-20 per 100 balls on a regular basis.

    • @TRGolfVlogs
      @TRGolfVlogs 8 месяцев назад

      @@lpcwork for sure, probably only the crazy expensive country clubs in the US could afford that. It's not viable for 99% of places.
