I recently started working on a story for helluva boss called "Birds of a Feather." Where octavia and three other goetia royal teens [Dante, Aseali, and Notarus] work toegehter to try and stop a plot behind the scenes revolving around Stella and some other goetia trying to overthrow stolas and even paimon. And striker was one of the characters she was conspiring with and hiring to do jobs for her. Its crazy to think that some of the fanfic writters are writting more intricate stuff than viv and her team, and I constatly think my stuff sucks. Oh and one more thing, you didnt bring this up but: How is Octavia, and Unlanded goetia [Unlanded being a goetia without a title yet] able to overpower a MARQUIS.

I haven’t watched the full video yet, just started. So I’ll say, I do like the show. But stolas and how he treats Octavia makes me upset. He tries to be a good father but he really isn’t 😅 Everyone I talk to say they like the ship Stolitz (which is fine) but I don’t see them as a healthy ideal relationship. That could be a good dynamic, but everyone views it as a good thing. But again, mostly mad about how stolas never thinks of Octavia first and everyone calls him a good dad Haven’t finished the video but I wanted to give my own thoughts and complaints as well

I liked this show when it came out. When the Helluva Boss Pilot came out, I was hoping for some fun assassin show. But I've NEVER thought, it turns out into Romantic, Bad written show, about two Mentally and Emotionally unstable gay guys, blaming each other like the kids in the kindergarten, the episodes and plots don't even make sense. The Stolitz.. bro.. this ship feels for me like it was written by a 12-13 year old teenager, writing their first fanfiction on a Wattpad.. Same for the Villains, Stella and her brother (I forgot his name, that's how "interesting" he is) are the worst written Villains I've ever seen. Vivzie, for the love of God, I know those are your characters, but for fuck sake, learn how to write them.. I'm tired of watching crying characters on the screen, blames, victimizing abusers (I'm talking about Stolas). This show had a potential. Now it's just a cheap Wattpad gay, toxic, romantic fanfiction. And I'm afraid that Season 3 will bury this show down. This is my personal opinion, if you don't agree or you found it hateful, I won't apologize.

The thing that kills me is that stolas could have easily cleared things up by mentioning blitz was gifted an asmodian crystal that was signed off by the man of lust himself. Everyone already knew he was sleeping around with an imp. No though. He went to court fully expecting to die and go down like a martyr so he wouldn't have to keep dealing with the consequences of his decisions. Maybe this show would have been better off for it. Having stolas around creates a ton more unnecessary problems than it does fixing anything.

Octavia has every right to be angry.

One thing surrounding millie and her pregnancy (you addressed all my other points perfectly) is that I don't think this is a... baby plot... I think by some force she's going to be talked into keeping it, despite being shown to have a low self image still, despite being constantly ignored to boost male ego, despite living in near/actual poverty and having an insanely dangerous job. After that, it'll go from subtle resentment to something she soon grows to be excited for, only for something like a mission or maybe the cherubs or something along those lines to entirely rip it away from her, eventually using her obvious pain and grief and possible anger to temporarily write her off the show, because recently, it seems Viv is struggling even more to care for writing anything else other than justification for stolitz and it's tiring

With the pregnancy plot, not only will her own baby overshadow her, I know so much of the writing is either going to focus on moxie trying to convince millie to keep the baby, or it’ll be moxie fussing over millie to take care of herself while shes pregnant. And these mfs are definitely going to have that dreaded, overused, cliche scene of millie going into labor during some really intense and dramatic fight

Also another thing, I hate that Millie is essentially the hero for everyone. Yes, she's an assassin, but she should not have to be saving moxxies ass almost every episode, which keep in mind MOXXIE IS ALSO AN ASSASSIN AND CAN DEFINITELY KILL. She also shouldn't be responsible for all of her male comrades emotionally

I agree with you on so many points here, although I might be ranting for hours for all the absolutely retarded decisions and choices made in these episodes (and well in the entire later half of this season to be honest..). The trial was just simply stupid. Blitz should have died regardless if Stolas came to save him or not in a way he did. Stolas claiming to be the mastermind doesn't change anything really as Blitz was still working with him and as such is still guilty for the illegal use of the grimore so realistically only thing Stolas would have earned with that stunt is that both of them get punished. Blitz gets killed and Stolas loses access to his family's wealth and things. (Which is retarded "punishment" for a big crime this was supposed to be.) And no I will not call it Banishment as it is not even close to what Banishment is supposed to be and well what is 100 years to an immortal being anyways, but a blink of an eye.. Stupid.. just stupid. After that why is every smart character acting like an idiot constantly? For example Octavia has been shown smart for her age. A reckless/impulsive teenager sure yet still smart, but she can't piece together now the simple fact that her father didn't have much choice on what happened or was she expecting Stolas to just let Blitz die? I mean she has totally all the right to be furious at Stolas, but not say or put any blame on her mother in all of this..? Right right even though she has equal share if not more in all of this especially as she was watching the trial in the first place. Totally making sense.. Sadly this show is declining heavily in my eyes. Stakes are pretty much gone at this point, superficial and childish stuff is getting tossed in from every direction and characters act totally out of place more and more. Phasing is constantly off and stuff resolves super quick or off screen or worse.. Things get reset for no reason. Oh dear oh dear.. Anyways enough ranting. Going to give a last chance for this in the opening episodes of S3 and if things don't seem to course correct then it is over for me. With all of that said a Good video overall. Love to hear your thoughts now and maybe next season as well.

Octavia is the only character who I think has been done well in this show. Her motivations and actions make perfect sense. And I was staight up cheering for her once she told Stolas she was done. Maybe it’s because some personal bias comes in but she feels like she’s justified to be upset and even seeing stars was pushing it since she still never got what was promised. I don’t know if it would have passed but it feels like the fireworks they see at the end doesn’t make up for what he missed when Stolas was fucking around the whole episode.

I have my own hell story whit frends and well whe crated rules and stick to them and keep it realistick yes you can have some comedy fun but be realistick.

Mastermind and that one Hazbin hotel court episode just proves how badly written court episodes are when it comes to vivziepop.

Thinking that prego Millie will amount to anything FOR her character specifically is downright coping. It will be another Moxxie episode about Crimson wrapped in a Millie package. Why do I think that? (Well, other than that been every single 'Millie episode') It's because Crimson is a Mafia Boss, and Mafias get very uppity whenever they learn they're getting new blood. My prediction is that the episode is going to have Millie kidnapped so that Crimson can steal her child and murder her right after birth, only for Moxxie to come in and be cool for once in his pathetic life. Then the kids gonna be born, and that's it, Millie gets written outta the show, or the child gets written outta the show or both, but let's be honest, nothing of value will be lost if that happens. I mean, look at the final fight of this season. She shoots one rocket, misses, and does nothing after that. Remember, Millie got thrown into an armory; with how good and brutal she is in combat, we should be hyped for what she will do with an entire armory. But she doesn't do anything. Moxxie and Loona somehow do more than her and they just gave Blitz a sword. She reminds me a lot of Blake from RWBY, a really interesting character who gets dragged down by a relationship. (Note so I don't get mauled by RWBY fans: I do not hate Bumblebee; I think it's a charming ship and glad it was made canon. It's just the writers didn't know what they were doing with those two.)

I agree with everything you said about Mastermind. I love HB but that episode gave me everything I wanted in the worst way. I don't agree with a lot of things you've said but the criticism about Via&Stolas plus Mastermind was SOLID.

My dad actually did basically what Stolas did, left and chose another family (in Stolas's case, just Blitz) over me. What hurts most is not being able to see him. He says he wants to, but doesn't act like it, just like Stolas. Stolas takes his relationship with Via for granted, and then once he can't fix it anymore is when he wants to try.

I have genuinely seen the most no brain takes of all time coming from the helluva/hazbin fandom. The thing is they treat stolitz like gospel and the couple like gods. Anything bad that happens to them is a personal slight and i just dont understand. People were getting mad at octavia for having the most reasonable emotional reaction of all time, people conveniently forget stolas used blitz for sex and did so publicly enough for all of hells nobility to know about it, he never thinks about his daughter as her own person. I could go on and even talk about blitz but the show and fandom recognize blitz as a flawed person other than mr victim stolas. Im not saying blitz is a bad person or bad character but he has flaws nobody ever fucking points out. (Oh also the fact people say “millie cheated on moxxie” has got to be the dumbest fan theory of all time)

I think a better rewrite would be having it set as a custody battle between Stolas and Stella because the ultimate goal and the goal that being built up now is the alienation of Octavia from Stolas. In the show its framed as the one thing that would crush him the most. Additionally this rewrite will need to go off the concept of making stella more of a threat by toning down the bratty princess qualities and emphasizing the idea that she is a manipulative monster and is actually a lot smarter than how she appears in the show. She can still have bratty moments but not to the shows degree where that is her only trait. Have satan overseer the case and be somewhat balanced. Stella gives her side via Andrelphus giving biased evidence on stolas being a bad father and have her pose the potential danger octavia is in by staying with stolas could have and reinforce with blitz appearing. Octavia is a goetic heiress meaning there likely needs to be more protections in place (stolas even says that in looloo land) to ensure she can carry on the legacy. Vassago acts as Stolas’s lawyer throughout the case and is constantly calling Andrelphus on his bluff. While the case is going on have Stella set up a hit on stolas prior to them entering the courtroom via striker (with the condition that striker is not imprisoned or killed for doing this in front of the sins) as a way to cause more of a scene in the courtroom and to effectively ensure that she has sole custody of octavia. This is where the blitzo intervention comes in. With the threat established and the infidelity revealed Satan orders sole custody be granted to Stella as theres less of a perceived threat as stella was not the target of the hit but Stolas was. Stella plays it as both blitzo and striker are fighting for the hit only for stolas to bail him out and reveal the infidelity that Vassago was at that point calling bullshit on because he cant imagine stolas getting with an imp. Additionally stolas is also stripped of his power by Satan for the infidelity with Bee and Ozzy watching and growing visibly uncomfortable at the visual. News breaks, blitzo is mistaken for striker and is hailed as a hero by imps for attempting to take out a goetic prince. Octavia learns and tries to call stolas but stella intercepts and tells her the danger stolas poses to her now and her status as a goetic heiress. Octavia reluctantly agrees as stella comforts her knowing that she was the one who caused this. Idk if i cooked but i think i did.

My questions is why did viv NEVER think to at least reread the stories she made 10+ years ago and fix the damn plot holes?! If she did do that then why does it still have so many plot holes? Like wouldn't she have known better then this?

Something that really fucking kills me is how instead of making Stella anything more than a 1 dimensional villain with a personality because, dumb woman, she introduced and entirely new and unnecessary character instead of just making her the villain 😭 like bruh just say you hate women omfg SHES LITERALLY A FUJOSHI LOLLLL

I feel like the only reason I’m watching it now is because I think the art style is cool. I don’t really feel invested in the characters in the show anymore and I think it’s because they are throwing everything at us all at the same time. I think if the characters had more conversations together and it took place over a longer period of time it would be more coherent. both characters had major changes to how they act in a matter of what seems to be days and that’s really unrealistic

I sadly agree with you on almost, if not everything, said. The show`s first season was great, and I was still clutching onto the hope that the finale won`t be Stolitz becoming cannon, but Blitz realizing something crucial for his character. But no, lets do all our loyal fans one of the worst fan services ever just because people didn`t like when their favorite ship got a bit more realistic in Apology tour. I still hold on to a faint belief it will sort itself out, but it is highly doubtful.

11:30 I don’t mind Millie being pregnant Infact I expected it to happen eventually. What I didn’t like is that she’s terrified of having a child. Why? Her and Moxxie aren’t exactly destitute, IMP has become a successful business. We don’t explore why she’s upset about it left completely unexplained. She’s also got a strong family unit to fall back on if things do get difficult. Millie doesn’t strike me as someone who would be afraid of this. I imagine she’d be ecstatic, Moxxie would absolutely be over the moon about it. Blitzo might get worried but that’s a different issue. She may be a paper thin character but she does Infact have character. She’s strong, passionate, loyal to a fault, and clearly has anger issues that as of now hasn’t been an issue. Again I say this doesn’t sound like someone who’s be afraid of having a child. If she were, Viv has never established anything for Millie that might hint at such a disposition. Having a baby isn’t the issue it’s what Viv is doing with the baby that’s an issue.

At a glance Blitzo and Stolas are very close parallels of each other, both are arrogant and have done selfish things which lead to screwing up people in their lives, they both are leaders (Blitzo being the boss of his own business and Stolas being a literal prince), and both struggle with trying to be better dads to their daughters. The difference between them, beside their positions in hell's hierarchy, Blitzo is the one repeatedly told how much of a terrible person he is and eventually he does make the effort to be better and learn from his mistakes in Apology Tour. Meanwhile Stolas says he'll do better but makes empty promises and doesn't change and sacrifices himself not for his own child but Blitzo which leads to him losing his power and everything. If Blitzo is written to be a main character who grows from his mistakes and becomes the best version of himself "THE Helluva Boss", then Stolas from what I presume is the opposite, someone who is too jaded be better. The main issue is that the plot and Viv coddles Stolas so that his screw ups are not that bad by comparison which really rubs me the wrong way. In my own Reimagined Helluva Stolas would stay more closely to his pilot and early season 1 and eventually become more antagonistic and set off Blitzo to go "F*ck it im gonna pop that owl between his 4 eyes!" being a final hurdle for Blitzo and IMP

crazy that my dad has had more growth as a parent throughout the time this show has existed that stolas himself. he acts like such a victim and the writers treat him like one too. stella is a shallow villain so stolas doesn’t have to take accountability for his actions because “well he was already in a terrible marriage!” and then gets all mopey seeing blitzo and luna have a good relationship. blitzo has plenty of flaws, buts it’s shown how much he cares about luna by actually being there for her and TRYING.

To be honest it was a missed opportunity in my opinion of making stolas a villain he has the good backstory good motivation and if you push him hard enough you can see he has a dark side a really evil side when it comes to the people that cares about who would have made an awesome villain later in the season especially when it came to his daughter it could be like he wants to protect her and not let her get corrupted or something I don't know
