Kizuna encounters tag system sounds real interesting with its tags zones! That groove on fight two granny characters is gas! Rage of the dragons ability to sacfice the life of a character to power up is an interesting one! Skull girls is one I've been wanting to get around to, and I really need to get on it! Cole mcgrath was in street fighter x tekken! That's mad! Kinda curious how he plays! So many anime cross over fighters! Man Fighterz really got me back into fighting games, it consumed my life for two months straight, even speaking about it now, makes me want to go play it now! I forgot power rangers got a fighting game, another one I'll have to jump on at some point! This was a fantastic trip down tag team fighters, was honestly really cool to see the evolution of it through this! Fantastic video bud, truly a wonderful watch!

Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Smash Ultimate are my favorite fighting games. I know Smash is a platform fighter so it's considered a different genre but still. Team fighting games there is a greater variety of playstyles

There are also 4 Game Boy Advance fighting games that had tag team features too: Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors, Guilty Gear X: Advance Edition, Tekken Advance, and Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition; however, tag team gameplay weren't the main focus of those games. In DBZ Supersonic Warriors you could only tag team if the game gives you a partner team mate in Story Mode, in Guilty Gear X, Tag Mode is the only mode you could do tag battle though there aren't tag combos or anything. In MK Tournament Edition, Tag Team Mode is basically just Arcade Mode but with you choosing a tag partner against the CPU and their tag partner. Tekken Advance is basically Tekken 3 with Tekken Tag Tournament's Tag Mode added, while the game only had ten fighters, the Tag Team Mode is super fun to play.

I don't understand, you said Kizuna encounter was release 5 days before xmen vs street but when i see the date in Google, we have the 9 September 1996 for xmvsf against the 20 September 1996 for Kizuna (arcade support)... Did i miss somethin?

Speaking of Street Fighter EX3, selecting specific character pairs (like Darun with Pullum or Guile with Chun-Li) give you access to the Meteor Tag Combo. Good stuff. I'm not an OG diehard and I played Rebirth to Platinum as well. Personally I wanted more of Zack, wanted Cissnei to be playable, and wanted Genesis to appear in some capacity. I was disappointed on all of these fronts and I like both surprises and new content. Another problem I agree with in the Remake series as a whole is that Sephiroth is overused. It's not that great to have him as the final boss of all 3 parts. Plus the optional boss in the Rebirth simulator was...Sephiroth. Zack was on the cover of Rebirth and heavily marketed as a major character yet he was barely playable with scarce cutscenes and aside from the final battle he was breadcrumbed hard and didn't even get a conversation with Aerith. Zack haters want him gone completely and Zack fans got duped by the promos and cover so neither side is all that happy. Zack is very fun to play but he's stuck behind a single legendary hard mode challenge with his materia locked. The LOVELESS play was fine and I liked what they did with Tifa in Gongaga. I liked Kyrie and she was a good addition to the game. There were many good things in Rebirth and it was actually still around 90% faithful to OG for most of the game. It was the lack of cohesion that was most disappointing to me. In Remake we beat the Whispers and changed fate but Rebirth backpedaled on this and Aerith conveniently lost her memories. The Aerith big moment was a mess regardless of which side you were on whether you wanted a different fate or you wanted OG. The ending (which is major and far more important than the fluff and filler) left many players baffled rather than feeling sad, happy, or anything else. The Whisper War chess games and the Aerith vs Sephiroth hide and seek stuff was poorly explained and the plot devices just weren't consistent at all. To me Rebirth is still a good game, there's things I didn't enjoy about it, and I just don't believe it's a masterpiece. I'm hoping they make bold moves for part 3 and tie it all together in a cohesive way. After Rebirth they have their work cut out for them to make it make sense by the end of it all!

I’m on the exact opposite side when it comes to Cait Sith. They handled him wayyyyy better here in Rebirth than in the OG. I never bought for a minute that Reeve would resort to kidnapping, and I’m glad he didn’t this time around. Also he reason for betraying them tracks. He’d rather put the Turks in danger first.

I totally forgot about the rested xp mechanic that discouraged unfun grinding. Man, Multiversus fell HARD.
