I like hunting with all around cartridges that have decent energy and are flat shooting. That being said I’ve only taken one elk and one whitetail past 250 yards. Reality is all my bear, all my moose and most of by deer are actually inside 150 yards. 45-70 territory
Anyone saying 45-70 is only good for 100 yards forgets it is literally a 1000 yd rifle. Drop? Sure lots of it, but it is very capable past 100 yards
🫶👌😉🤏🤩🍏🫰✌️♥️👍❤️💙☺️💕💓💖🌹✅💚💝🏆✨🌟⭐🎇
Great video thanks man
Handheld Heavy Artillery
How come 444 Marlin wasn’t on here
Ese rifle no puede llevar balas terminadas en punta porque se detonan, debido a los accidentes todas sus municiones deben ser de punta achatada fue idea de los creadores de los rifles a palnca
The lever revolution is a horrible bullet . Stick with big heavy hard casts
“May the light of lights guide you brother !”
Surprised you didn’t throw 444 in the line up
Sorry I do not watch videos with Ads, as ads contain Malware that is killing Peoples computers. Get a real job and a life!!!
Had to have been subsonic ammo. Aside from magnum caliber wheel guns, the 5.7 is likely the loudest hand gun you can buy.
50/110¿
I have a stainless 450 marlin JM long barrel, but I have never shot it, lol.
LOL! PL. That's my tree I park under!
I love every lever gun you have here, but I spent the majority of my life in Alaska and proudly what lever my father bought around 1968 is my Winchester model 71 converted to the .450 alaskan, i can find a video here on you tube of anyone shooting or talking about this amazing rifle and round, my 71 was converted in coopers bay Alaska by Harold Johnson, all the lever guns you are shooting are beautiful and plenty of rifle for alaska, but there is something magical about my Winchester 71, i do own a Winchester 71 deluxe in .348 as well, if ya ever get the opportunity to do a video on the .450 please do, and yes the .450 alaskan and .50 alaskan are absolutely thumpers, i buy amm from reeds ammo and research and have had absolutely no issues with thier loads and i do reload as well thank you for your video
You forgot the most powerful level action rifles, which has 6,000 foot pounds of energy (8,100 J ), the winchester 1886 chambered in the 50-110 WCF (50-110-450 WCF)
We didn't have one on hand at that time.
@MurphysGuns you can get a replica or have one recalibrate for the 50-110 at Turnbull Mfg. Model 1886
At 1:48 you say the 325 grain bullet is coming out of the muzzle at three thousand feet per second...I think you need to dub over this or post a correction here. This bullet might achieve 2,000 fps at most. Otherwise a neat video and I also vote for less or quieter music
we caught that when we first edited the video. Look for the correct velocity in the green box. 1950FPS
@@MurphysGuns thank you. I’m getting 1950-2100 fps in my 25 gr 45-70 handloads, and I was wondering what I am doing wrong.
Stop demonstrating suppressed weapons while shooting at STEEL targets. Not many people on RUclips have common sense.
КЛАСС ЭТО ВЕЩЬ А ЗВУК ВЫСТРЕЛА
🔥🔥🔥
This was extremely well filmed and presented. How do you only have 1 video and 2 shorts? Keep making them!
What kind of loads were those?
These are Federal 300 Gr. Power Shock
@@MurphysGuns solid round! Have you tried hornady leverlution in it?
How come i cannot find "Turnbull Manufactuing" when i look it up on the internet? Would like to see that .50 Alaskan?
Great video. Nice work Patrick and JD 😎
Glad I found you channel Murphy, the Big Horn for me
I appreciate the descriptive information you give about each cartridge great way to produce your content I haven’t watched many other content creators or any I can name off top who create content like you. LOVE IT!!!
Were you shootijg subsonic ammo?
I don't have confirmation, but I'm positive he was. 5.7 is very tough to suppress with how thin and small the round is, not to mention just how fast the supersonic rounds are. All other vids I see that shoot supersonic through suppressors are still very loud and aren't hearing safe
I have a Marlin 1895 in 45-70 with a 26 inch barrel and 9 round tube. It's my favorite gun when it comes to shooting feral pigs. Especially with 430 grain hardcast Buffalo bore ammo. Not a single hog has managed to run after being hit by one of those. They all dropped where they stood.
50 Alaskan is undervalued too much. It is an ammo that should be a priority for the major players to produce. Also, the 450 Marlin is superior to the 45-70 in that the rim is belted, so it can be used in bolt action, etc. Therefore, it is superior to the 45-70 in terms of warhead convenience. Therefore, the convenience of the warhead is superior to that of the 45-70, so in a sense, it is a superior warhead, but if it had been introduced half a century earlier, it would have been dominant...
I've had 2 444s, Marlin & Winchester. The Marlin would cock & lock, a but quicker.
50 Alaskan is a 50-90 best I remember. Turnbull 50-110 even more power like mentioned earlier. Or get a Shiloh Sharps 50-140!! Dwarfs a 45/70.
Love my Cimarron 1876 Centennial 50-95 Winchester. I push .510” Barnes 450gr SP at right at 1600 fps out of it 28” barrel. Not bad for the old round plus it holds 13 rounds 👍🏻
Bought a Henry in 45-70. Only problem I have now is the gun is so pretty. I find myself babying it. I guess I’ll stick to abusing my tacticool rifles and save the Henry for special occasions.
Awesome video and a good bit of history with each one!. Nice video! Winchester still in production?.
You really need to handload the 500 S&W to make a fair comparison. Nobody factory loads the 500 S&W to anywhere near it's full potential because it would be to difficult to extract several spent cases at once fro a double action revolver. Loaded to it's potential it matches the 50-120 from the model 89.
Take another look at the spelling, it says, Lever "evolution", not lever "revolution".
Even my little .357 marlin does the job on deer and coyotes here in Indiana.
That browning is beautifully made!!!!i want one....that design anyway!!!
Beautiful lever guns. But why are they so short in length?
This guy is douche, holding the lever open at maximum travel for too long.
Nice video. I like the enthusiasm but … the post WWII Marlin ‘1895’ is actually a Marlin 336 with a bigger barrel.
What? No Henry??
nice rifles but 460 weatherby has over 6000 ft lbs of muzzle energy.
Love my Marlin in 45-70. 405SP puts everything down with one shot. Wish these newer rifles came with ladder sights like the older rifles had.
Try Skinner sights.
I mounted a receiver sight on mine , which works quite well
I want one! 🔥
You could use a little more eye relief with that first scoped rifle - ouch.
There is no shame in laying a folded towel over your shoulder or wearing a padded shooting vest.😪
The 2016 Remington made Marlin 1895 CB 45-70 Is one of the finest Marlin lever guns you can own!! 18.5 inch octagonal barrel, dark American Walnut forearm and butt stocks, semi buckhorn rear and gold bead front sights, this Marlin lever gun cannot be matched by any other in all the categories that matter. This model made by Remington is extremely accurate, the same accuracy as my Remington 1968 BDL 30-06 700. Remington as far as I am concerned is the best of the best when it comes to any rifle build!! Shooting is believing, I believe!!
