Remixing Danish indie artist Hunbjørn - Part 3
Welcome to my new series on remixing. This video is about remixing danish indie artist Hunbjørn and her fabulous track "All The Red".
We're getting pretty geeky here, talking about techniques, effects, and last but not least: gear. For this remix I'm using Cubase Pro, UAD Apollo 8, and lot's of analogue stuff like the Roland Jupiter 4, Juno 60, Sequential Circuits Pro-One and lots others.
Besides doing these videos, I'm also a remixer, musician, audioengineer and producer. Heres a few links to my stuff.

Just got this Tama Techstar TSQ1000 drum trigger. Bought it at an auction, and it wasn't guaranteed to work. Seems to work nicely though. Here triggering my Pearl DRX-1 synth drums.

Trying out different patches I made. The Sequential Prophet 5 rev 4 is going through an old Roland mixer, and a stereo spring reverb as well. Sorry for the video quality. Turns out the iPhone blurs the video whenever it gets sound pressure (from my speakers). Hey my friend, I just seen your video about Prophet and MIDI arpeggiator. I got the same arpeggiator device from a friend but somehow doesn't not work with the prophet for me. I tried with an other synth, it was working properly. Can you send me your Global settings on the Prophet? How did you set up? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
P5 midi out, to arp midi in. P5 midi in, to arp midi out. Global settings: Turn "Local Ctrl" off. "Midi out" should be set to midi (not usb). Hope this helps.

So, after you dedicate the MIDI In/out’s of the Prophet 5 to connect the arpeggiator unit, then you can’t use P5’s MIDI In/Out connectors to connect to other Midi devices 🤔🤔.
No, not unless you use a midi box to split the signal. I mean, there's a midi thru as well, but I guess that will only take you so far.
Thx for the video. Curious, with the midi-sync/daw issue…have you been able to sync it to any other equipment?
You're welcome. Haven't actually tried syncing it to other stuff than my DAW. I might try it, just to see if it makes any difference.

Wait. How did you get it to arpeggiate? 😦 Were you using Live’s arpeggiator over midi?
It's a hardware arpeggiator, the MAP-1. Actually thought it was visible in the video, turned out it was not. ☺️ Might include it in my next P5 video. It's pretty cool.

@@korywesterhold There's a few out there. Usual places like Ebay, Reverb etc. 🙂 There's other brands as well. I've also got the Oberheim Cyclone, which has more features but a somewhat weird interface.
