Boss SD-1 Review
Просмотров 875 лет назад
The Boss SD-1 is one of the greatest overdrive circuits ever made with its natural sounding drive and accessibility that is unmatched by other pedals of the same price point, not to mention the signature Boss "built like a tank" quality. The only cons I could think of about the pedal is that it might be a bit limited in tonality, but it makes up for it doing what it was made to do really well, ...

Five Nights at Freddys 4 trailer reaction
I promise I’m not trying to be a hater. But those riffs were totally “wtf”
Definitely not my finest hour on the guitar lol.
What a great setup! Love the guitar, looking to buy one myself.
Thank you.
Yo what does the lowest knob do Is it just volume?
It was a tone knob, and a push pull boost switch. Never was too much of a fan of it. Just kind of seemed to blow out the sound.
So that knob controls tone for both pickups and the other two knobs control tone for one pickup each
The way it's set up is it has Neck pickup volume, Bridge pickup volume, and master tone.@@lucas_m16
i loove this instrument its so cool n its definitely a lot more stable and reliable than my strat :D
This video sucks.
I have a MIJ Dinky in gun metal grey that i bought from a pawn shop 10 years ago. One of the best guitars I have. Total shred monster. Great tone there. I was an idiot and sold the stock EMG Hz to replace them with some UK Warman 16 gauge pups.
Love that gold top Gibson Classic.
Thank you. It's a honeyburst with a really subtle, yet flamey top.
What is a 15 year old kid doing with $5000 worth of amps and gear? lol
Seriously am well jealous..... .
Worked hard for it, and looked for the right deals. Also I'm not 15 lol. Thank you for watching.
@The channel for everything Seriously I wish I looked 15 lol believe me and yes I would step over my Dad for your gear hahahha
This sounds awesome dude! Good job.
Thanks man. I love the sounds that you get on your channel. I think it's interesting that James used way more mids than I ever expected him to. This was a really fun episode to make.
@@thechannelforeverything2170 thanks bro! And yeah I have noticed on Mesa amps if you dial back the gain and treble to about half, and tweak the mids from 9 o clock to 12 o clock, and put the presence all the way up, it gets pretty close to a Justice tone.
Wow spot on!
Thank you so much. This was a really fun episode to make. Talk about chunky guitar sound.
That first riff you played, is that from a Metallica song?
The first riff I played was from Testament's song Practice What You Preach.
@@thechannelforeverything2170 Thanks man! Great playing. I just modified my own dinky by putting a volume knob for the bridge in between the volume and tone pot, effectively giving me a volume volume tone setup. I gotta ask though, how hard is it getting used to the switch location? You ever accidentally turn any knobs?
Hate to tell ya, it's not from 96. That model didn't exist until the early 2000s, 2002/3ish at the earliest. Jackson serials are dumb. Still a great instrument nonetheless. Upgrade the electronics and nut and it'll be just that much sweeter.
i just bought it 1 month ago
There was this one Rhoads at a guitar shop for 200 in this sick neon green color and I really wanted the thing but sadly I’m a beginner guitar player(im getting better however)and my parents apparently believe that “ I gotta be a bit more skillful” before I can buy my own guitars. Also, cool video.
Keep grinding on that axe, and you'll get there. Thank you so much for commenting.
AWESOME!!!🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻☢️🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻
Thanks man 🤘
Very good AMP Marshall 🎸💥
Still got this one in my fleet, and it ain't going anywhere anytime soon. A true classic this one is. Got to check out a Vintage Modern for the first time recently. And that one was also amazing. Especially with that matching 4x12.
Cool sounds Bro 🎸💥👍
Really dialed in the chunk on this episode. Thankfully the Mark IV delivers that, and than some.
Beautiful black V guitar Bro. S and like for you! 🎸💥
you didnt say anything about randy rhoards who disighn the guitar you are holding
It's no doubt that Randy was a genius when it came to guitar. I'm just someone who doesn't pay too much attention to his music. And in turn, I don't really look at the guitar as a signature model. I look at it more as just another guitar shape that's out there.
Cool guitar man! I like that black and gold too.
Killer combo of features that I don't see out there that much. I got it cause I liked the fact that it's hardtail, black and gold, AND neck through without being crazy expensive. Usually you find them with a bolt on, or lots of Floyds.
How comfortable is it to play while sitting? Is this best suited to play while standing only?
@@karthikbiyer If you're gonna play it sitting down, I recommend using a strap. I would say that playing it standing or sitting is equally viable. I prefer standing while playing in general.
Great playing man 🎶🎵🏆👍 I just subbed your channel and I’d love to watch you grow ❤️🎸🏆👑 Did you say that’s a Gretch guitar? I thought a Gibson!!?? I’ve seen wrong before so no harm.
It's a Greco guitar. They're a Japanese company, and this one was made in the 80's. Pretty good guitar, and certainly looks pretty cool.
Great job man! I’ve got a whole series on my channel of capturing the guitar tone which is something similar to what this video is.
I was really happy with how close I got to this tone.
@@thechannelforeverything2170 another feeling. It’s a good accomplishment. That’s actually a pretty classic tone to get.
That’s a great setup you’ve got!!! Many good amps and a sick guitar!
Thank you so much!!
@@thechannelforeverything2170 You’re welcome. 🤘
Which prs model is this exactly?
This PRS is called a "Mira". It's from 2008, so it is made in the US. Great guitar with a lot of versatility.
cute!
That is a thic neck strap my dude

Not bad man, not bad at all! Can't deny that I enjoyed the vid, especially the commentary. It wasn't too boring, but at the same time not over the top - just perfect for me. And sorry to hear you didn't like the game your first time around, hope you like it this time, 'cause I think it's an awesome game :). Anyways, I ended up leaving you a like & sub, looks like I'm your 1st! :D Also, real sorry if I am spamming your comments or anything here, but I’ve actually got a channel of my own that I’ve been working pretty hard on for a good while now. No obligation of course, but if you could check it out, give me some feedback, and just generally let me know what you think when you’ve got some free time, I’d really appreciate it! :D
