My favorite blues guitarist and vocalist ! RIHP !
ça joue tellement faux .....
December of that year he passed.. he had lost a lot of weight. sign
Sounds out of tune
That may be the “guit-fiddle”, as Albert would say, that Billy Gibbons of ZZ Topp had made for him that sits in the STAX Museum
I'm glad Albert King liked the young man with him doing a guitar solo. He seemed pretty rigid on how the band should be.
Hot-Damm - Albert's playing his red-hot "Flyin' Rhubarb Stalk" Guitar tonight ! ....And with perfect Execution, Timing & Feeling, I might add.
Sweet Archive
As long as I have your sweet love I won't ask for nothing I don't need🖤🖤🖤
He hated Jimi Hendrix he talked bad on his back after his death but after 22 years later he played Hendrix’s music I mean the first song Them changes
oh myyyyy god that was insaaane!!!!! that was raw af. he is such a G
Who are the band mates with Albert King
There are unearthly bends at 8:18, I don't know how he does that.
Mate this is incredible! So close to the end of his life, he was still bulldozing with lucy! The solo at 10:40 onwards is also unearthly! He bends in a way that is truly unique and have never heard someone recreate the same way! Absolute beast!
11:47 bend riff my mind is blown
well, brownie mcghee has stated that this artist´sreal name was george beford ... R.I.P. // Gone but NOT forgotten.
The Red Flying V Guitar 🎸 is working overtime. Can't believe this was one of Albert's last performance. A talented musician 🎵 gone too soon 🔜. Love 💘 you Albert. RIP.
1. ALBERT KING (RIP) - Tobacco Pipe BLUES POWER. 2. Sure wish I knew what brand he was Smokin'.
Brilliant for always and ever a real legend he is.
Love ❤️ albert king
Albert King King King!
the coolest guitar ever played by the coolest guitar player ever...
These guys warm up too everything slow simmer. Mix green blues n butterd rice. Stir crosseyed polite.Tattooed listen wipe
Make it over for greening under the less likely wearing off
What was this recorded with, why isn’t there more of these types of videos from the 90s
It was recorded on 8 mm analog tape with a Sony handycam.
Lovely version. Merry Christmas to everyone out there 2020 🥂🌈❤️
I hear proto Hendrix Albert's playing. ALOT of rock and roll was influenced by this man alone. His licks are fundamental.
RIP Albert King, my favorite bluesman
Outlived Jimi and Stevie
Never drank or did dope either
@A Ö that he lived a healthier life. And i dont believe jimi was killed
@O jimi was killed.?? what
Albert smoked pipe excessively, it may have contributed to his fatal heart attack @@bensblues
Excellent tape, there is not much material of albert's last years 90/91/92... AND THAT PINK FLYING V IS A KIIILLLERRRR ONEEEE!!!
Love Albert King!
You may be cool but you'll never be playing blues on a flying Vee with a pipe in your mouth cool. :-)
Cool Papa was the first to let me sit in and play back when I was a kid in SF in 1980. He was a great guy. I do miss him.
12:40 what song Albert plays??
As the Years Go Passing By
Not much left of a great blues man: Can't stay in tune or keep up with the tempo.
Show some respect... Who the hell are you?
He was great even in advanced age witn one arm tied behind his back... Schooled everyone...Never topped...
Ur out of your mind Albert is Blues 4 months before he died he did it his way and he did it damn good but to each his own
I’m not sure why everyone’s so sooky with you. The mans past his prime and it doesn’t sound that great. Doesn’t take away from him being as OP said “a great blues man”.
To the sour pusses . One of the greatest blues guitarist ever . And why SRV went on to be so great . It’s an old tape recording converted and he is months before his death. God bless him he brought and continues to bring much joy to TRUE blues lovers …
Wow, my fav blues player of all time, and the best voice in all of music. This was July 1992? He died 5 months later December 21, 1992 - amazing career!
How old was Albert king . I just clicked this thinking this same plays the 'stumble'?
@@dannyhood8857 i think he was in his 60s

Mine too. Died 2 days after a concert in Los Angeles at age 69.
Put some more old blues. Blues fans appreciate it
Albert "Albert King" Nelson; the best dressed man in the blues business.
Most irrelevant comment of the century ?
Who are the other two guitar players? Names are listed on clip of Albert King live at the Pori Jazz Festival (from '92) but the spellings could be incorrect and I can't find any info about them.
I think they are Randell Boykins and Derek Harris
Those are indeed the names that appear in the video I mentioned. I think Randell should be spelled Randall though. Even so, when I Google that name I find very little info. Seems odd given how good his playing is. Just listen to 4:10 in this video for example! Amazing blues guitar. Is he still alive? Has toured with anyone apart from Albert King?
Monty Cantsin I think they are local German guitar player
@@MontyCantsin5 Their names are Randell Boykins and Derek Harris . While Harris is a mediokre player , Boykins is a really good guitarist. The whole band accompanied Albert King in his european tour in 1992. I was lucky to see them live in Thessaloniki ,Greece 22/6/1992 in a great live performance.
@@user-ge3tz9sf7z: Thanks. I found the names eventually (see my comment above). You're right in mentioning that Boykins seems to be a more natural player than Harris. In all the live clips I've watched of King with this iteration of the band, Boykins' solos really stand out.
LONDON 1965
5 months before he died.
Wow, 👍 great show. Much love
Never knew there was that big of a blues demographic in Denmark
Jack Plays Folk I know it's big in Sweden. Johnny Winter live in Sweden in 87', is great show. Pretty sure in Norway, Finland, Iceland, too.
There is! Still in 2019
name of the song that starts at 5:58?

Christian Kuhnke for sure! Nice clip! Thanks!
It is definitely Christian Kuhnke. It Looks like him and is definitely his style.
Those were the days my friend :-)
Mange tak for videoen 😀
I'm sorry I was wrong about the year. It was 1964 and I think Stolle played quarterfinal against Christian Kuhnke in the clip.
