Even at restaurants they have condiments and salt and pepper on the table because they cant over salt due to people's health, people always find something to complain about smh

I do, but people want honest reviews about the meals and if on the go, I don't carry salt/pepper packets with me.

I agree with your comment. I’ve order factor more than a few time, and I didn’t need to add any seasonings unless I wanted hot sauce on something specific. It doesn’t need to come full of salt.

I recommend it because it makes the surface flatter without feeling the ridges. You can opt for a thinner OSB or plywood maybe?

We just didn’t bother flipping it but you could still do it! We actually took it apart earlier this month since we are moving and the glue is holding up to the OSB without issue. But the screws are the more important piece here It’s so sturdy even after we just took our circular saw and cut it in half to make moving easier. I’m pretty sure my hubby dropped it without issue since I’m pregnant and can’t help him lift it

I was wondering about this as well. Does it matter which side is facing up vs. down -- the "stepped" side vs. the flat side? Only benefit I can think of is upper layers adhering to the bottom layer by attaching to a more flat surface. However I would still worry somewhat about the contact between the "stepped" surface and the floor--is there a lot of pressure on those narrow points where it contacts the floor? Will those compress over time? Am I overthinking it??

@@jones786lol we can definitely over engineer this, it’s held up for its purpose. For a home gym, it wouldn’t get anywhere as much use as a commercial gym so I think we’re okay

I forgot to respond but I’ve updated the shopping list! It was missing the screws since Home Depot stopped selling them. I replaced with other screws that I found in store

I haven’t tried this, I park my car in the middle of my garage. Because the weight of a car is distributed across 4 tires and there are multiple layers of plywood along with it being supported by concrete, I can only assume a sedan wouldn’t cause an issue. But please try at your own risk. I’ve seen people put hinges on their platforms to fold it away if that’s something you’d be willing to do. You’d have to split the platform to do so. I didn’t want to do that myself since I don’t fold my rack

I followed the manual, it’s dependent on your foundation, your floor height, and the placement of where you want the top stringer. I recommend consulting the instructions which you will find linked in a comment

My bottom edge of the bottom stringer is 5-5/16ths inches from the platform since that’s the floor for my rack. Then from the floor (my platform) to the top stringer it’s 80-5/16ths to the bottom edge of the top stringer

The instructions say normal is 1-5/16ths of an inch from the floor to the bottom edge of the bottom stringer, but you can move it up by increments of 2 inches. Which is why my bottom stringer is higher by 4 inches

You can try watching someone else’s video along with this! There are a lot of videos that are super useful and I am mainly just providing the calculator. All measurements for 4x8 are assuming you are placing the long ways towards the garage door because it wouldn’t necessarily be too bad of a slope the other direction and you wouldn’t really need to correct for the slant. I’m assuming you’re making a 4x12 platform. Create the 4x8 platform, then create a 4x4 platform. Put them side by side. You’ll need to add boards to the bottom of the one closest to the garage door to make them the same height
