Who’s axles are you using
Love the first gen brother. Can't wait for the next episode.
Love your work Mitch. Solid effort on the manifold.
I really enjoyed this video is pretty cool, I have a 3L Toyota LJ90 and want to upgrade it to a 1KD-FTV. I noticed your locking hubs for 4WD are still there in place, there was no need to change that due to the new engine? Also, your transmission is it from your 3L engine? (is it compatible?) Or did you get it along with the vehicle you bought (the one with 1KD-FTV engine)?
How much do you’s charge to do a solid Axle swap on leaf springs on a n60 hilux
So much good work put on❤
What tcase is that?
I have the same car with 2lte diesel engine automatic and i so badly feels for a 1kd swap what you guys think ?
I just brought home an original ny 65 hilux low kms. Getting it ready for adventures around broken Hill. I'm a sheep shearer.
zd couldve done 250hp. with about the same amount of cash thrown at it like the td. couldve cleaned a few things up couldve lasted a decent while. it is a Di yeah but still possible.
Nice work fellas, looking forward to seeing more. Love the 1st Gen 4runners 👌
You guys are legends please don’t stop with the content ! Love the attention to detail and always going the extra step
That means a lot mate. Cheers. So much effort goes into these videos. Hopefully they pay off in the future so I can keep making these for you guys.
Cool episode, cheers guys.
Nice work, I am only worried about rear shackle angle, not that it bents leaf opposite way
Already check and all is good
i hope its not nessissary to pull the engine and box out haha
keep up the good work guys love your content
How much dose it cost to do the swap
That fully engineered
A video needs to be done on the white 4Runner in the background!! Looks so tough haha! SAS’D on 80’s diffs to? Or solid Hilux front?? I’ve got a 94 1KZ Hilux Surf SSRG that I would love to get SAS’D!! 80’s front and back diffs would be amazing, but would also settle for a solid Hilux front of alot cheaper 😅😂
Yeah we will be doing a video on that for sure. its on custom 80 diffs and 3 link front and 4 link back
Impressively thorough job, boys. Loved the fact that you bothered to refill the viscous fan hub, which most people ignore!
Being me, I would have changed the fuel filter and probably did a basic oil change. Is the IAT sensor inside the AFM assembly?
Yeah I believe so 👍
Can’t beat a TD. Will take u anywhere and back. Can always push a bit more HP but doesn’t need to be a drag car. Nice one 👌🏼
honestly seen more TDs with holes in the blocks then i have seen zds with cracked pistons... stock to modified. i even owned a stock zd that cracked a piston but thats because it was overboosting to like 26psi and had leaky injectors so was suspect to poor maintenance.
More 4runner vids please!
Solid axle swap 4-runner vid in the making as we speak 👍
Howd you end up sorting out the transfer case, very curious
what i the plan for the front driveshaft ?
In this day and be I don’t think a td42 swap is worth it anymore. Better off buying a factory or already done one
FTE would have been a better option instead of a kettle
Zd was the better option than a kettle😂
🤣 zd is just as bad
Yeah just a lot more $$$
Love the sound of that td42 iddling
Zd 30 and td42 are both slow ahah without pouring money
Not wrong but you'll still outdrive 99% of every other 4wd with barely a 2 inch lift and 33s. So a bit of money to get them to comfortably cruise/tow at 110 gives you a pretty all round ultimate 4x4.
@@Nick-sd7um spot on.
Is that smileysn70
Yeah
Oth love your content
Cheers mate
how much would something like this cost thing of doing it to me ln?
Shoot us an email with your details for some pricing 👍
Av seen this done with a newer hilux steering box which I thought was LN106. So what is the difference betwen the one out of a 79 & a hilux?
Yeah so normally people use the later model hilux IFS box but you can also fit a 79 box which is slightly bigger slightly stronger.
@@FavroPerformance I had the feeling that might of been the case, thank you

What sorta cost was the exhaust and dump to make up for the tb48 no where really makes any thing bigger then 2.5”
Beautiful job as always! Only fabricators can truly appreciate the time that would have gone into this 😅
Thanks it really was blood sweat and tears hahah
Nice work! Difficult working without the body in situ
Absolute artwork fella.
Very well done and informative, great work fella
Enjoyed the way you didn’t waste time with, fretting over an Oil pan and then just manufactured a new one.
That is not an exhaust, it is a piece of art!
Mate, that was just the video I was looking for. Currently attempting my first exhaust which has proven to be a real challenge, but have made some gains. Main issue is blowing through on the butt welds. Have been using 1.2mm filler but I'll try the smaller rod like you have suggested. Would you mind sharing what amperages you like to use on the butt and V-band joints?
Yeah mate 100% Key is to start low and move up until you’re moving at a comfortable speed. However I tend to sit around 40 amps
V band joins I use around 60-70
@@FavroPerformance Thanks so much mate. I'm just using a lift-off TiG so I guess I'll try making it ramp up over a longer time.
*Great video!*
