This is my 1982 boombox that I upgraded to run off of a Li-ion battery and play music from my iPhone via Bluetooth. The battery charges whenever the boombox is plugged into AC power and kicks in (just like the original D cell batteries) whenever AC and DC power cords are unplugged. My brother had a friend from high school in the DC area who had a Marverick just like this. When it started up, it sounded like thunder!!! Great car !!!
Sadness is knowing that Reeves broke his neck and died from complications from bed sores, because he was left in bed to rot.

So cool to see how other Hilliardites saw the eclipse! My family and I drove out to the center of the path of totality to watch it- got a good three minutes or so of darkness.
Light leakage through the secondary hull seam and the screw plugs are a real let down especially since Tomy said they would patch them :( The Master Replica is definitely a better model.
I don’t disagree about the plugs and seams. But looking back on the purchase (I was a backer), if I knew everything we know now and it was available today for the $599 I paid (including shipping AND tax) I would still buy it in a heartbeat. I’m not alone since as of today (3/24/24), the average price of the last 5 sold on eBay is $1800 (including shipping) - and that doesn’t include tax which for me would put it just shy of $2k.

This is how every fan pictures their model in their head, great job on the whole production. Listening to this video is proof of the incredible sound scape they created for the series. Those sounds were just as important to the show as the visuals. I truly respect those sound engineers, the unsung hero's of Star Trek. And the sound trigger button you installed looks factory, that's really impressive.

They were all the rage back when I got mine a few years ago. Then like you said they disappeared. I’m still looking for the case they made specifically for this guitar. I still play mine often.
