    Oliva doesn't make a bad cigar. From their Series O and G's to their Cain line, their Black Swan's to the Serie V Melanios, I love all their sticks. Personally I love the Cain Maduros and the Serie V Maduro over the Melanios. Even their over runs are delicious! I wonder what cigars cost on your side of the pond?

      I would yes, the only thing i would state is the humidor took a while to settle, probably close to a month for the humidity to stabilise but its been a while now and its been spot on. I only turn it on in the summer months as that's the only time i need to bring the temperatures down. But yes, i would still recommend it or other like it for sure :)

  • @RP-dy5mu
    @RP-dy5mu Год назад

    Hey man, did the smell go away in the end? Also, if in the summer it's like 35 degrees, this thing WILL cool the cigars? It just can't warm them above the room temperature? Did you try storing wine in it with your cigars? We got robbed in our basement and I was storing cigars there. Stored them there cause in the summer it gets too hot so I don't want eggs to hatch. But anyways insurance took care of it 🎉 so I won't repeat the same mistake again, need to store them at home.

    • @bluelightcigars7032

      I purchase from a variety of places, namely U.K. based cigar stores but also pick stuff up when I travel or swap with friends of mine who smoke also….lots of paths really so difficult one to answer. For example, im going to the states again in November so I will pick up a couple of boxes whilst I’m there, things that are difficult or impossible to get in the U.K.

    Do you keep the Bovida 84 all the time in, or for a period of time?

    • @bluelightcigars7032
      @bluelightcigars7032 2 года назад

      Hey man, no no don’t keep them in for the whole period of time. The rule of thumb with a brand new desktop wooden Spanish cedar humidor is to keep 84% 60gram boveda per 25 count cigar for 14 days then remove - so 50 count humidor would be 2x 84% 60gram for 14 days - on this instance I had the 84% in for around 5 to 6 days due to there being very little wood as the only wood is the shelving.

      Brilliant, hope you enjoy your purchase, the only thing I’d do differently if I was to buy another is I don’t know if I’d bother with the wetting of the cedar…I think I’d just leave the boveda 84% in there for 14 days, either way works just as fine but would save a step in the set up process. Enjoy your humidor and thank you for the kind words.

    I both Klarstein 23l for 150 cigars cooler it came 7 days ago and its weary smooth working, much much silent I don't hear fen spinning when TV is off,so I realy dont understand that. But I can say for 23l its smoler ,and much toros don't go in side on the plate but for mee when I com from some bigger shoping I use it like big box and put cca 7-9boxes without any shelws i use only bottom drower whic I use for cigars that are unpaired. And boxes exe. Robusto can go on the plait normal,Romeo&Julieta can go normal but Toro and bigger must go sideways and I can put to the top also it's wery deep so it san space big allot but shalws must go only drower whic is last one. I haw 7 boxes and 20 Toros in the drower. Also its first humidor that I didn't touch selfs with destild water i only clean inside plastick. After that I put destil wother on shelf and wait for 24h to humidity go in 75% , dump destill wather and use 2 Bovida 69% 60g. Humidity is on spot 69% and Tc is 18°C also I calibrate their higrometar and its like my digital. So please don't trowe that analog gages .Some of them are perfectly fine. And in mine with out of drowers I can put 200 with boxes and 100+max 30cigars on shelws cos shelws don't have drowers.

It is for sure OEM product that very popular brand from the States also use same model with their own brand which is Audew J23. It is same technology same model just rebranded so I could find some more reviews and you were right it looks like Klarstein 23L is not as noisy as other models. Hi, I've bought identical Klarstein and I have some doubts regarding which Boveda packs should I use. I have two options one is 65% and second one is 69%. I want to store both Cuban and "New World" cigars. I'm watching your video and I see that you are using 65%RH and you are maintaining ~68%/69% of RH. So the question is: If I use 69% Boveda packs then my humidity will raise above 70%? In your opinion which packs should I use? Regards, Mariusz

    • @timw7514
      @timw7514 Год назад

      he said that it is very humid in his area. So after he opens the door its normal that the humidtiy in the humidor will also raise. If you are living in a humid area I would go for the 65 and if not I would use 69 bovedas. You can place an airtight container in your humidor where you can store your cubans at 65 % and thats what I do actually. I have an acrylic humidor from Zino inside my wineador. But it has to be an airtight container this is crucial because otherwise your 65 bovedas are messing with the 69.

    Hi. Fantastic set up video. Followed it to every detail. However, the humidor is holding the ambient temperature but when I set a desired temperature it won’t alter at all. After 4 days it hasn’t changed within a few degrees of the ambient. Any pointers on how to get it to 21+ degrees? Thanks Max.

    • @bluelightcigars7032
      @bluelightcigars7032 3 года назад

      Hello, thanks for the kind words are you trying to lower the temperature or increase? Remember that the unit is essentially a wine cooler so the unit will only cool between a range of 18 to 23 - if the room temperature is not 21 then the humidor will not hit 21, the unit does not provide any heat element it simply increases or decreases the fan. Hope this helps.

    Planning to buy this one aswell... as lot of people are claiming about loud noise I‘m planning to turn it on only during night via time controlled socket, means turn it on only from 1am till 8am. It will be in the living room. What do you think about it? Will it be so loud that it will hear in the bedroom with closed doors? Cheers!

    • @bluelightcigars7032
      @bluelightcigars7032 3 года назад

      Hey, so I only have mine on when it’s so warm that the temperatures exceed 24 degrees inside the humidor, then the fan inside just cools it down. As for the noise, it is loud but it kinda just becomes a white noise in the background, but if it is in a different room to you then no you wouldn’t hear it, even with the door open I don’t think you would hear it in honesty.

    How long did it take to get to 22 from initial set up?

    • @bluelightcigars7032
      @bluelightcigars7032 3 года назад

      Hello, I’m assuming you mean the temperature right? So this depends on the heat in your home, this fan simply cools, it does not warm. So if you home or the room your humidor is in, is not at 22 then the humidor will not go to 22, the benefit of the temp control is mainly for the summer months when the temps go above 24 for example, you can then bring the temp down to a range between 18 and 23. Hope this helps 👍🏻 also I don’t have my humidor plugged in during the winter months, pointless really....I’ll maybe plug it back in around may time.

      Hello, good question. So early on I had trouble yes, I also use boveda and I found that using 69% that my humidity was sitting at around 72% so what I did to counter this was use 65% boveda which sat me at around 68 to 69% and I did this for the first month or so and now it sits stable using the correct boveda pack. Hope this helps 👍🏻 also them being in the box is not a problem at all.
