It’s ok showing us the upgrade but where can I purchase the wiring harness kit from as yesterday I came across 2 single headlight units from a 2015 tiger sports to fit on my 2009 tiger non sports so now I’m on the hunt for this wiring loom that so many tiger non sports riders seem to be doing on their bikes. Anyone got any pictures or contacts so I can order 1

even though its not necessary to take the full seat of the car to replace the cable, I would recommend doing it. You have very limited space to handle the cable inside the car, and it took me forever to put it in place but I ended up breaking it so I have to buy it again.

Handy video. Didn't need to remove the seat, but the 2x 10mm head bolts that hold the seat base in place underneath at the front make access to the seat pivots a lot easier. Didn't bother with the string trick, split the seat upper join at the bottom and you can easily get your hand up the back and find the cable ends. Otherwise pretty easy. 20-30 min- job done.

Appreciate the video as this gave me some ideas, but the comments really nailed it. My release catch was undamaged, but one side of the seat was not being released. I replaced my drivers seat cable today. In case it is useful for people to know, I bought an entire replacement part for about £44 here: Ford 1441166 RH Front Seat Tilt Cable Set www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002UXGO5K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0rT1DbB96DATG ... I did not remove the seat or the base. I unclipped the fabric along the bottom of the seat as others have mentioned in comments, and rolled the fabric up so I could access inside the seat. As I had a full replacement part, I just cut the old cable (and rubber sheath) in half, then (after removing the release catch) I lifted out the clip and cable from where the release catch was and because I had cut the cable, there was now plenty of slack to unhook both sides from the mechanism at the base of the seat. Then i just replaced the part like for like. With access to the inside of the seat, this was pretty easy. Just had to be a little patient with re-seating the clip under the release catch and also latching the cables back into place at the base of the seat. Posting more just so people know what worked for me. Once I had the back of the seat off, it took me about 20-30 mins, just because it is a little fiddly. PS: For those who need assistance with removing the latch, I used this video: ruclips.net/video/hzkG8Sjq0mQ/видео.html ... though I was actually able to remove the latch by just digging my fingers underneath both top and bottom. Maybe I got lucky. I have a 2003 zetec model with fabric seats.

I just did this upgrade on my Tiger 1050 2009 which now has the 2017 lights. Well worth the money and time as the new lights are amazing. I believe you also have made some cambus additions, like the Rowe Electronics PDM60, to stop the lights coming on with the ignition as they can draw up to 30amps (I also use the PDM60 and am very happy with it!). Great setup!

These fiesta handles are prone to breaking really easy. Even when fitting new ones they always seemed as though they were going to break straight away. So what I did on both mechanisms where the seat hooks onto the base i used my dremmel to grind off the powder coating on the hooks and on the seat base where the hooks grab onto. This made the seat work a lot better and seemed to take a lot of stress off the seat handle. Also smeared a bit of grease on as well but not too much. Hope this helps to everybody.

Thanks for the instructions. I also took the seat out and worked in my front room. 1) it's warmer 2) so much easier moving the seat around. I'd imagine it's a nightmare trying this in situ! I couldn't quite figure out tying the two ends to pull it through so did what others have advised in the comments and unclipped the cloth back and rolled it up half way. It took me about 20 mins trying to figure out how they were attached. The front cloth is interlocked with the back cloth at the bottom of the seat. Kind of like two C's facing each other. I took off the plastic guard and got a screwdriver in between the C's and twisted. Once the edge was out the rest just followed. I bought a new handle as suspected I was going to break the old one. Glad I did as it was a sod and ended up breaking it
