Fairy Tale Tarot by Lisa Hunt & Channel Update
Thank you for your insights and recommendation of that book. I picked it up a couple years ago but haven’t explored it yet and may now have to pull it out! Yeats is an intriguing person; I recall that he also met and studied briefly with HPBlavatsky, right? Always great to see you pop up in my subscription feed. Blessings!
Yes, Yeats did meet Blavatsky who invited him to join the esoteric section of the Theosophical Society but the society did not approve of Yeats magic practice 😊 The problem with theosophy, WB Yeats said, was that its followers wanted to turn a good philosophy into a bad religion. Its founder, Madame Blavatsky, seems to have agreed.
@@PandoraPortal333 interesting! Now that would be a neat topic that I’d enjoy seeing you talk about on the channel if you should ever feel inclined to do so. I’ve a feeling that you know a ton about a lot of esoteric cross-overs. Either way, always a pleasure. Blessings!
Oh just what I was looking for. Thank-you Jules. I have been recommended Ben Dova and Jodorowsky but wow... the debates. Thanks again! 🙌 ❤
I never knew this about Yeats. Very interesting.
Good review and yes the cards are great with a nice box and guide book. A lot of decks come in the standard flip box with the standard small book.
Thank you for sharing your insights with us. Blessings and love to you. 🙏🏽❤
Absolutely fascinating, thank you, I've not heard of this deck although I am a massive follower of H P Lovecraft, the only related deck I own is the Dark Grimoire Tarot. Could I ask you, although its fiction, do you think one can use the mythos etc as a genuine magickal practice, my opinion on that is yes, I am just intrigued as to your opinion, thank you once again.
Yes, there is a playlist on my channel called Lovecraftian Tarot & Magick that has a video about a Lovecraft magick book recommendation.
I've been looking for a book to read up on the Golden Dawn and this video was so helpful, thanks Jules💖
Glad it was helpful!
I have this deck and have for some time, I absolutely love it, I'm very fond of the lovecraftian stories. Thank you for your excellent review and presentation.
Glad you enjoy it!
@@PandoraPortal333 I really did enjoy, I love the way you present, I'm a new subscriber and will definitely be a regular to your channel.
Glad to find your video. I also bought a Spanish version because it was the only way to get it. My Spanish is not the best, so i am so happy to learn that a republishing will occur. Thank you for sharing!❤
Thank you 🧡
I love you so much ❤❤❤ thanks for recommending
Your videos have helped me on my kabbalah journey.
Glad I could help
@@PandoraPortal333 I purchased the ladder of lights and also kabbalah unveiled based off your book recommendations. What do you think about John Michael greers path of wisdom, have you read it?
Have not read Paths of Wisdom but John Michael Greer is an experienced author.
I love the first edition Jules, it has matte card stock which I love better then the glossy card stock. Thank you for sharing 💖
I totally agree!
Wow, The Empress is gorgeous!
ty , Blessed Be )O(
This looks like a beautiful deck. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I love your channel!
Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks for sharing that lovely deck. Blessings!
You are so welcome
@@PandoraPortal333 I also wanted to thank you for introducing me to Poppy Palin's "SpiritWalking" book in an earlier video. Even as I began reading it, I felt a profound kinship, and I was reading it so slowly but wasn't sure why. I became curious about her and now, after watching her 'final' videos, I understand the deep connection she and I experienced separately yet also I recognized her in myself, in my own earth-walk. I'm grateful that you share what you do in your videos so that we can all know a broader connection to those we will never 'meet'. Blessings!
I just got it today and I'm impressed with the print being large too that's a big plus ..I enjoy your reviews 🎉
I'm excited about this book if I had a choice to only have two books it would be the 6th or 7th edition GD Brick and the green brick
Glad you enjoy it!
I have the hard copy coming tomorrow I have had it on pdf but nothing beats a book

You're absolutely right the Golden Dawn book is not accessible in fact it's not even user-friendly it's vague I'm going to have to get this book here because I hear the same good review
Thank you for the wonderful review! I have the 1st ed of The Shining Tribe Tarot & can’t help but wish I would have waited & purchased this edition. Appreciate your videos!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much, Jules! I keep learning and learning; thanks for your instruction. ☺
Happy to help!
Out of the many many astrology books, lectures, classes, astrologers that I’ve heard, read, studied, from Vedic to western astrologies, yours is the first explanation of what Pisces really is…. Aether, not worldly, not even material. Absolutely!! All I ever hear is ‘emotional’ and ‘sensitive’ and prone to addiction. This is why, well one of many reasons I guess, astrology is so put down and not taken seriously… because explanations like these are not even correct. So thank you 🙏🏾 Nisha
Thank you for sharing this one and your previous series of videos on lovely 'older' decks. I don't have an edition of this deck so did order the latest (possibly 'final' one) as I do enjoy the artwork (and I ADORE their Bohemian Gothic). I've mostly completed my deck collection as it now serves me well in all my various types of readings (and, thus, don't have to fret about whether I'm buying an AI or pirated deck). The only deck I'm waiting on at this point is for US Games to release the Desert Illuminations Tarot by Lindsay D Williams -- I fell in love with it but don't want to spend the no-longer-in-print high cost -- thank Goddess that US Games will be releasing it around the end of the year! Anyway, again, thanks for sharing your decks and impressions of them. Blessings!
Your content is always so thought provoking and informative. Thank you! I’m taking a course on the Jungian approach to Tarot reading, and so far I find it a very “dry” way of reading. It can be insightful, but it feels quite intellectual to me - it could be the teacher. (Mansplainer. 😂) What do you think?
Yes, Jungian approach can be quite academic and dry. My approach with Jungianism is psycho - spiritual. There is a danger of too much cold analysis with the academic approach.
Ooh, I want one! Thank you. I am a TdM lover. I mean the deck not the book. I get so tired of these Mass market tarot books that attempt to substitute for a visit to the psychologist.
I have the black and white version of this deck and enjoy it quite a bit. There is a very good tarot reading book written by a woman named Doris Chase Doane who apparently was in the Brotherhood of Light. She was a well-known astrologer in the mid century era, I believe, and for someone who enjoys reading the cards, her hardback "Tarot Card Spread Reader" and her paperback "How to Read Tarot Cards" cover the astrological associations of the cards with an emphasis on predictive reading. I just wanted to point that out for anyone who might be interested in this deck.
Hi Jules, do you think it is worth having both Golden Dawn Magic and A Garden of Pomegranate's or do they overlap? I am just wondering
These two books are different in scope so there is very little overlap. Golden Dawn Magic is about the GD system of magic for beginners while Garden of Pomegranates is about GD Hermetic Qabalah pathwork.
@@PandoraPortal333 Thank you
I just wanted to say thank you for your recommendations. I am only now watching them, but I find them very useful in navigating my studies.
I like that moon chart ❤️🐝❤️
Thank you for reminding me that I have this deck! This will pair and work well with another deck I've been meaning to use more often, and The Lovers' Tarot will see the light of day again :)
No clue how I missed this deck 😮. Thanks, Jules!
You’re welcome 😊
awesome 👍
This is my favorite deck, but the old Belgian version has much better paper than the current Italian deck. It's true that this new edition has slightly better sharpness and stronger coloring, but the paper is so bad that it peels off after a few days of use. In 2011, they even started printing the deck in China, and it was superior to the two previously mentioned, because the paper was resistant... maybe the one you're showing is Chinese, but they made the mistake of switching to Italy sometime in the last decade. Luckily, I still have two sealed boxes...one Belgian and one Chinese.
The deck shown in my video was printed in China.
Are you still enjoying the deck? Any insights or issues? Cheers!
Of course, was thinking recently about how great these images are , because they are so original and I love the colour intensity 😊
I recently got this deck. Just in terms of visuals, this is an atypical pick for me. However , there’s a lot of purpose and meaning behind Janet’s work and I’m looking forward to diving in and already sense a connection. Thanks for the review Jules! I really enjoy your channel 🙂✨ Nisha
I really appreciate you sharing these books, your reviews, and your own thoughts on William Blake. I've added the books to my wish list because I've only just become curious about his poetry, art, and concepts the past month -- mostly because Iain McGilchrist in "Master and His Emissary" (fantastic book if you haven't yet read it) has mentioned Blake so often. Thank you and Blessings!
Am a fan of Iain McGilchrist and have read his book Master and His Emissary 😊
Marseille all the way for me .. of course..🥰! It was a nice video to enjoy on this rainy evening here in NSW. Thank you for sharing, Jules! 🙏💛
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for these recommendations. As synchronicity, I just watched a relatively recent interview with Glenys a few weeks ago and was so intrigued that I ordered her PaGaian book; haven't read it yet, and I'm a northern hemisphere resident, but was really curious to explore her perspectives in more depth. Blessings!
The book by Glenys Livingstone is great, I attended some of her presentations when she was writing her book.
thank you
thank you
Just got this, looking forward to diving in! Thanks for the video Jules✨
Pierre Madenié Tarot de Marseille 1709 is one of my most favourite Marseille Tarots. It is SO beautiful, and truly is one (if not) of the most delicate and refined complete historic TdM decks we are so fortunate to have. Thank you for sharing this version, Jules. What a gem of a tarot!🙏💛
I bought Malcolm Godwin's book at a Bronx library in New York about 20 years ago, and I intuitively kept it, knowing I would need it for research later on. I had no idea what it was about at the time. Now that I am retired, I am grateful for tools like Chat GPT that inspire me to do further research. This morning around 5:30 a.m., I got up and unconsciously pulled out a diary that I used to take notes in during the pandemic. I found a note about pages 194-195 of the book. I didn’t recall what it was, so I retrieved "The Holy Grail" by Godwin, which had been forgotten on my shelf. When I opened it, I read the title "The Three Wounds" and a notation I had written about the wounds, the first one being "repression of women." This felt like a eureka moment because, in my Torah and Kabbalah class, we had discussed this dimension as part of the "world to come" redemption. Jewish mysticism believes that as we approach the sixth millennium, a little more than 200 years from now (according to the Jewish calendar), female energy will come to completion, reaching equality with male energy. This means both genders will be at the level of Queen and King, entering a thousand years of peace. Each "day" in the Genesis creation narrative is not a literal day but represents one thousand years, so the sixth millennium is the Shabbat, a day of rest equating to one thousand years of peace. I tried to inquire for more feedback through ChatGPT, but when I opened the browser on my laptop, there was already a page open on a Kindle book by a very interesting Jewish Rabbi, Rav Dovber Pinson. He has written numerous books, with twelve of them dedicated to each month of the lunar calendar. This month is the month of Iyyar, a month of "healing" , the portals from above are opened with a particular flow of gratituous "Healing" over our lives and the earth, during this month. and the page open in my Kindle was titled "Three Types of Healings," which seemed like a response to the three wounds in Godwin's "Holy Grail." The synchronicity was so intense that I couldn’t stop researching the rest of the day. I found interesting connections between alchemy, Jungian thought, the Cathars in southern France, the quest for the Holy Grail, and the Jewish mysteries of the Kabbalah, all pointing to a unifying theme. I did a search on RUclips and found this interesting video with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life in the background, which confirmed my intuition and synchronicities coming into place!
Coming late to this video (and late to the deck). Thank you for your thoughts and comments, which I value highly.
