We'll also be bagging three other wainwrights on this one, so four in total. First up is Lingmell, then from there onto a very windy Scafell Pike, onto Scafell, finishing off down to Slight Side then we'll make our way back to the car. This was a very Britis...

Scotland road trip with the Ben Starav walk of shame
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Месяц назад
It’s the maiden voyage of the self build campervan and we’re heading off to Scotland in search of some Munro’s. ⛰️⛰️ The initial plan was to head to Glen Etive to summit the mighty Ben Starav, however after a four hour drive, low supplies i underestimated it's size and had to abort mission to the van. The way down we discovered some of Glen Etive's waterfalls for a nice dip. (feet count right?)...

nicely put together
well presented great
what a wonderful machine a lot of effort gone into that back in the day
@@maserati228 Its a beast, they don’t make them like that anymore 😁🚐
Great walk and video pal... Black Crag seems a great guy, often watch his stuff. I don't get why people would go out their way to dislike some on YT, I've had a few videos where I've received a dislike. I'm like you, I'd just scroll past or go to a different video. With drones, as long as you're respectful to others on the mountains and not annoying others, I don't see the problem. I've got a drone and will always be mindful if others are around trying to appreciate the views.
@@mananddog.outdoors Yes mate I think YT is the only social platform that has the dislike feature, not sure anyone wants to know if someone dislikes their content and all the effort they’ve put into making it. Thanks for watching matey. 😁
Great video mate 👊🏼... Nice spot for a camp, although, I'd hate not having the place to myself though! 🤣. Gonna binge watch a few more of your videos 👍🏼 ATB, Mike.
@@mananddog.outdoors ha ha.. it’s always a bonus then you’ve the summit to yourself 😁 cheers for watching mate. 👍🏼
Good walk! Fancy black Crag tipping up. Also honourable mention to my mam! In that area, a little old lady in a Nissan Micra Wonderful summit view. 10th June was a very atmospheric day. Very considerate with the sheep and the drone. Good thinking
@@jimmycburfield5997 Ha ha.. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. 😁
Nice tent, we camped in that area a couple of weeks ago, is a shame wer still waiting for summer to turn up, great video👍
@@Borkyswildcampingadventures Ey up mate, cheers. Yeah it’s been a grim summer hasn’t it, feels like it never stops raining these days. Hopefully we’ll soon get a good run of some wind free nights and sun 😆 thanks very much for watching 👍🏼
Enjoyed the amazing views of the place
@@ClubCrafteria Thank you, it’s beaut up in the Langdales 😄⛰️
Nice video, drone footage looks great.
@@maserati228 Thank you, thanks for watching 😁
Beauty video as always mate! We were up on Nethermost Pike for the night, similar conditions but in the clag from 10pm - 11am untill that sunshine really hit hard! Beauty drone footage to go with it, keep them coming! 😊

@@cak3y Ey up mate how’re we doing? Nice to meet you guys too, hope the ninja turtles wasn’t practicing their ninja moves around the tents. I did see some people skinny dipping later on 🥶 Thanks for watching mate 😁👍🏼
Nice one mate. Came very close to getting the Big Agnes myself, well thought out bit of kit. Channel looks like it’s going well, keep em coming. ATB 👍🏻
@@boolay75 Cheers Dave mate, yeah I love mine, just forgot how big it is on this occasion 🫣🤣 thanks for getting in touch mate 👍🏼
Top place to pitch lad. Last time I went to the langdales I was waist deep in snow smashing it up a gully up there. I've still never pitched over that way myself. Top video matey 👍
Thanks mate. Yeah I’d like to get back up here myself this winter, good direct route from Dungeon Ghyll. Cheers for watching dude. 👍🏼
Liked and subbed fella keep up the great work 👍... lovely spot you chose to pitch 👍
@@HikerBobOfficial Cheers buddy much appreciated. Yeah it didn’t turn out too bad in the end. Thanks mate. 😁👍🏼
Mate keep it up! Top videos.. I’ve got arthritis in my knees so you are opening up a whole new world for me and I’m loving it.
@@nbflower4121 Thank you very much, sorry to hear about the knees. More vids coming soon. 😄👍🏼
Great watch that, I don’t think with my lungs I’d manage that hike!
It’s a gruelling one for sure Lord Rake🤯 good fun still. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Thanks Neil, yes better safe than sorry. Thanks for watching 😄
Amazing video, I really enjoyed it you captured the beatiful scenery. Liked 👍😄 and subd
Thank you very much, thanks for the sub. 😄
Excellent video, Richard! You captured Lord's Rake and the West Wall Traverse just like it is. This is a tough walk, and you're spot-on, I wouldn't do this route with a full camping pack on. Who'd have thought you'd encounter hail in June? Keep it up!
Ey up Mal, we’re still waiting on a good stint of decent weather aren’t we. I wasn’t expecting hailstones in June that’s for sure. Haha, cheers for watching mate 👍🏼
Stunning video. I've just subscribed.
Thanks very much, and thanks the sub. 😁
Great vid, mate
Cheers mate, thanks for watching 👍🏼
Well captured. It's a cracking hike and viewpoint, especially in good weather like that.
Thanks Andy, one of my faves yet this one, thanks for watching and getting in touch. 👍🏼
Well done tackling Lords Rake, the weather was kind to you, as it did not start raining halfway up. Drone footage is good, as it gives a perspective of the full area, seeing things you would miss otherwise. But not worth using it if the weather is not playing nice.
Thank you, i must have somehow overlooked Lords Rake whilst I was planning the route, but really enjoyed it. Thank you very much for watching. 😁
Nice one mate, looks like you did the West wall traverse there, let alone Lords Rake! Yet to do Scafell but think I’ll do it from Eskdale via Cam Spout and Foxes gully. Black Crag is the goat by the way!
Cheers Dave. Think I preferred Scafell to Scafell Pike, was a lot quieter and arguably better views. Loved doing Lords Rake up too. Yeah I’ve watched most of Black Crags videos, I enjoy watching them so was good to meet him out on the fells. Thanks for watching matey. Be back out in the tent soon 😁👍🏼
Great video, did this hike last week, it’s very long but worth it for the views
Thanks David, it’s one of the longest hikes I’ve ever done but definitely up there as one of my favourites for sure. Thank you very much for watching. 😁
That WAS ! A great spot to camp FYI 😂
I’ll be taking my tent with me next time for sure, thanks for watching 😁
Beautiful! Great footage again thank you and thanks for the OS map link, this one’s definitely going on the list ❤️ #sponsoredbysquarescrisps 😉
No worries, hope you get chance to use it one day. Ha ha love me a bag of squares. 🟦 Thanks for watching 😄
Wow. That view 6:11

Oh, masterfully presented my friend! This looks and sounds brilliant!
Thank you very much, pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 😁
Great vid mate. What views definitely have to pay it a visit some day. Van looks mint.
Cheers Andy. 😁 Yeah it’s some place this, never seen anything like it before. Thanks for watching mate 👍🏼
Watching this makes me appreciate nature even more! The editing, the music, and the scenery it's all so captivating! Great work

Wow...Amazing drone intro!!!!
Thank you very much, really captures the scale of the place with the drone up. Thanks for watching 😄
Spectacular views and even better that the weather was kind to you.
It’s one of the most spectacular places I’ve been too, especially with the nice weather, hoping to return again one day, hope it’ll be just as nice, thanks for watching 😁
Great drone footage, the weather was incredible that day. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you, Yes it really was, so lucky to get weather like that in Scotland, it was a beautiful day and a view to remember. Thank you for watching and getting in touch. Atb Richard 😄
Love that music you’ve started using. What is it mate?
Cheers Dave, I’ve found it from RUclips’s audio library in studio, been using that so there’s no copyright issues. There’s a few decent tunes on there. 🎶
Nice one mate I’ll have a look, I’ll probably pinch this one if I can find it 😃
@@boolay75 Yeah man no worries 😄
Nice one mate, you’re a natural pronouncing those Munro’s 😂 Really looking forward to your Isle of Skye video 👍🏻
Ha ha practice makes perfect matey 🤣 have uploaded the Skye vid tonight. Thanks for watching 😀

Cheers Mal, glad you enjoyed it. Some place is Scotland Thanks very much for watching 😁
Great footage. Is that the OS map you use for the trail?
Yes it’s the OS Maps app, I have the yearly subscription which gives more features I find really useful whilst out. Thank you for watching and getting in touch. 😀
We went up to the Quiraing a couple days later, and had the same deal, clear and sunny one minute and then zero vis the next.
Hope you managed to get some decent views whilst it had cleared, thank you for watching 😀
Nice footage, crossed paths with you on Sgurr na Stri. Just managed to catch the boat. 😬
