Cutting decals can add a lot of options for a custom machine. Printing can add so much more. I have some adjustments to still do in materials, but both printed and reversed printed decals are now in my wheelhouse. Once I finalize my process, I'll upload a much longer video. I may also start selling these reversed decals for people who want a custom coinage decal for their own machines.

Would they be able a beaver mechanism with a fake quarter or cardboard circle? They did it on my northwestern in schools.
Unfortunately, so long as it has the right dimensions, anything hard enough will "fool" a coin mech. Add in wear of the validators and their springs and even something like a cardboard coin could get past. The only way to validate metal is doing so electronically. Unfortunately that adds complexity and potential failure that would end up rejecting all coins. The best solution is just maintaining your coin validator and inspecting it with real and fake coins to make sure the validators are working as they should. Also expect slippage as an unfortunate part of the business, but warn your location that it's happening and work on a solution between both parties, especially if you are sharing a percentage of what you take out of a location.

Try lighter fluid. I used that to remove old stickers off of record albums. 😊

I lost my Beaver key so I have to drill
Sorry to only just see this. However, you can open a Beaver machine without a drill. If it's a barrel lock, you can find a barrel lock impressioning tool on Amazon or on lock/security tool sites like Covert Instruments and Red Team Tools. Red Team have also just developed a new barrel lock hand key cutter, so check them out.

Get a good heavy duty name-brand flat-head screwdriver put a pair of vice grips on the screwdriver handle turn and you'll break the pins in the lock
Super helpful vid :) I have a blue Oak Astro/Vista that Ive always wanted to paint black and then add a space theme to it (painting on stars, galaxies and such) and this will be really helpful when I get around to it :D (I potentially have a location to actually use it at now so I can dig it out of storage and get it cleaned up again-- fortunately I thought ahead and made a photo album 6 years ago when I first got it, of it dismantled down to the coin mechanism gears for deep cleaning)

I haven't looked recently, but Beaver makes a great product with its RB-series and are made in Canada.

I have a 1955 gumbal machine. I had a lock smith pick it, but he doesn’t make two sided machine keys. Any recommendations on a new key? He left it open and I have the manufacture and serial number. 😊. Thanks. Keith
The best solution would be buying a new key and lock cylinder that works with your machine. You can pick these up from many online stores that sell bulk vending parts.

I just finished up my second OAK machine. it was on a double mount but missing the second machine so I took the single I had and installed it on the double mount along with the one I restored today.
Where can I find that little hopper ramp piece that was rusted? I can't find one online (probably because I don't know what the actual part name is!) Mine is all rusty as well

Hello, I have gumball machines that work on 500lbp coin it is a lebanese currency. In lebanon we are facing inflation so the 500lbp coin is worthless, so i need to change the coin I use and because of inflation rising everyday I need to use a TOKEN to adjust prices weekly. Is it possible that I could adjust the same mechanism to change it from 500lbp to a different size coin (token)? Thank you for your help I appreciate your time.

No guarantee this will work, I have the same type "Chicago" lock, tried over a hundred times, this does not work for me. Maybe if I had a different key.

My in laws gave me an old pair of gumball machines for my classroom. They had them in their basement ice cream parlor for 20 years with no keys. I bought two new lock sets on eBay, and watched your video…. it wasn’t quick or easy but it worked!!!! My hubby just jiggled the old locks out using one of the new keys. Hooray! Can anyone tell me how to JUST get the coins back OUT of a northwestern 80 series toy capsule machine? I just got an old one, no manual. Cant find the users manual online. Idk how to get my coins out!
There's a lock in the top, use the key to unscrew that lock. It holds the entire machine together, you can then just lift up on the bottom section of the machine to access the coins. If course, If you don't have the key, look up how to drill the lock out of a bulk vending gumball machine.
Didn't realize there were so many gumball machine enthusiasts. I just got my hands on a blockbuster gumball machine without keys and am looking to keep it around the house. It just looks s cool
So really, in order to possibly trick the beaver machine, is to make a hard material circler coin looking thing to be able to lift up that mechanical part.
"to trick the beaver machine" = Robbing the owner of the goods they payed for. Would you steal a chocolate bar off a shelf? Why is this any different?

Mate, maybe u can help me out. I'm trying to adapt my mechanisms to have 2 coins in one slot, so I can take till 4 coins in 2 slots. Have u done it? Have u adapted this? Or do you know someone who sells this?
