I draw my designs on the iPad in Adobe illustrator and then have my laser score the lines. After it’s cut and scored I paint by hand with acrylic leather paints.

Sure! As long as you use a size that will fit your bed. I believe that’s 12x12. These are designed for using 1/8” plywood, so test your settings to make sure it cuts through cleanly. That’s one trick for making sure the hinge doesn’t break. If it doesn’t cut through perfectly, it is likely to crack.

I’ve tried rolls but they are too hard to flatten. I like to use strathmore drawing paper in 18x24 pads and it’s 80# text weight. I think 100# would work too as long as it’s not cover weight/card stock.

Hi. Do you mean the blue scraper that I use to get the masking off the cover? I have those from buying 3M adhesives. You can search for "plastic razor blade scraper" on amazon and find a lot of options for something similar. Most are blue with orange plastic blades.

Thank you! I made these with a glowforge pro so not much power. It’s 1/4” thick plywood. I have a bigger laser now and do not need to do two passes.

Hi! You can buy the inside paper from craft stores like hobby lobby or Michael’s. I like to use drawing paper. I have a big art store (Texas art supply) in Houston where I buy decorative paper. I buy my waxed thread and curved needles from Hollanders.com. They have decorative paper too. Many of these supplies I think you can also find on amazon.

In this book I used 1/2 inch. It will depend on your book thickness. I have another video where I discuss the different Chicago screws that I’ve tried.
