@@braethevile6999 Thx me too!! it’s a custom deck made by SUBADULT SKATES. You can look them up on Instagram if you use that. They cut this shape for me and kept the model so they actually sell this same shape identical to the one I’m riding and they made a jumbo version. Really appreciate you watching and commenting 👊🏼🙏🏼🫵🏼🤙🏽💯
Well done Sir
@@robertbriesch thank you 🙏🏼 🫵🏼 really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you! This felt amazing.
Bet that felt great 🤘🤘🤘
@@bigdingus6196 yessir!!! it felt amazing. It took me a while to find the right line though. Once I found it I rode straight through the tile and coping and was aware enough to soak it all in was kinda like time slowed a little bit, you know what I mean. Really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you.
That is awesome! Front side so much harder for most of us. You are killing it.
@@robertbriesch thanks 🙏🏼🫵🏼 it’s definitely scarier doing front side on that wall than it was backside. And I didn’t get as high, but it was my first time skating something so Vertish while doing it and I was creating a lot of space from the ramp… actually splatted a bunch of times on the flat because it was such a quick transition at the bottom and so much of a steep wall. Thanks again. I really appreciate you watching and commenting.

@@andreoliveira-ye9mq that is great to hear! I had a similar path, started skating in the late 80s and then it was on and off but definitely a desolate period for a good 20 to 25 years. Been back at it for a solid three consistently and the goal is to do it until literally I cannot do it anymore. ☠️hope you find some of the other videos helpful as well. If you have any questions, let me know. Welcome back into the fold.👊🏼🤙🏽🙏🏼🫵🏼💯
@TheHairyDurdles thank u i will watch and ask if i need man i really missed all of it and like in a skatepark u r from another part of the world but is the same everybody always helping it s a awesome lifestyle keep having fun
So come up low grab , pop the tail then bring up the back leg. The turning is just happening because your looking over your shoulder? Thanks man my dream move is frontside air. I almost had it and wiped out on my landing. At least your low to the ramp. Ain't too hard a slam.
@@benoduartebd 👊🏼🙏🏼🫵🏼yes! Start low having speed and hold that position. When the front wheels hit the coping grab, pull the front leg up into your armpit, extend the back leg, once the back wheels bonk suck the back leg up using your hand to help keep the board to both feet. The turning part for me usually happens intuitively, but that’s probably cause I did a ton of nose grab kick turns and early grab Backside Air 🚀 under coping. I cover more of the turning details in the first master class that I reference in this video. As for frontside air, I have a trick tip on how to slob air that would work really well for learning frontsides. I also have a tip for tuck knee frontside airs. It was the most watched video last year. Thanks really appreciate you watching & commenting -keep it up. I know you’re gonna get your frontside and backside airs 👊🏼🤙🏽

This is helpful. I'm debating making a RUclips channel. My TikTok and Instagram have been decently successful and I've enjoyed the creative outlet. Im also starting to make boards so having a longer format would be helpful. I enjoy your RUclips. Keep doing what your doing.

In the upcoming skate videos I would appreciate it if you could annotate what tune you are using for each full or short length clip somewhere below because it doesn’t always show up automatically. It is up to you if you want to do that or not but I would be stoked🛹🎧🤙
@@sbollin4321 heck yeah💯 I can put it in the description. Most of the time the shorts we have it’s easy to figure out what song it is cause you can literally click on it but that’s not always the case with videos. I’ll definitely do that. Thanks for the recommendation I really appreciate it. Sometimes we use our own music. 👊🏼🤙🏽 really appreciate you watching and commenting and that is a great recommendation, I will make a conscious effort to follow through one it. You dont even have to pop just barely lift the front trucks up enough to get over the coping.
Looking good though
@@Newmango3 thanks I thought it needed to be off the ground and land into the rock for it to count as a pogo 🤷🏽♂️ For regular rock to fakie I definitely don’t pop off the transition. I just push the front over. Really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you so much.

@@TheHairyDurdles i hope you get it man, will be stoked to see the late grabs my man!

Really difficult to get your weight from the transition to sitting on the coping. Good going 👏
@@Brusselsproutsk8 💯absolutely it’s almost like you gotta go up and then straight down on it. It was way easier to do on a curb and a parking block than it was on that small quarter pipe 😝thanks I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thanks.👊🏼🤙🏽🙏🏼🫵🏼
🔥🔥👊👊🫡
@@davidrobarge8981 🙏🏼🫵🏼👊🏼🤙🏽💯
Thanks. I actually get freaked out because the timing has to be really on. Rock to fakie is actually less scary for me I guess it's like some people are heelflip first some are kickflips first.
@@benoduartebd I feel you 100%! Rock to Fakie is easier for me too. I think it’s because I can see the front wheels clear the coping while coming back in… with this one there’s a lot of blind faith because you’re not looking at the front wheels you’re just committed to doing the movement and hoping it works out 🤞🏽. I would say to get over the mental hurdle, find the smallest quarter pipe that allows you to rock and do them there. I find these are really hard when the quarter pipe is too small and too mellow and you can’t actually get a nice rock. The rock gives you time and helps with the timing. Keep at it I know you can do this. 👊🏼🤙🏽 really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you so much.

That's it man! One of my favorite songs of all time. Keep it up brother!
Appreciate it! This song is one of my favorites too 👊🏼🤙🏽 I absolutely love Sublime. This is just me learning the solo. To be honest, I can be a tiny bit more accurate, but I normally play bass and acoustic rhythm. The strings on this guitar are so close that I need to get more tech with it. I started messing around with the solo last might, but I’ve got a fun way to compose it where I have a Bass part, reggae strike-strum on acoustic, acoustic solo, and vocals. I’ll probably do a one-man show cover, make a tutorial on it for other people wanting to learn, and ultimately have the family band join in so we can play it with all the appropriate instruments: guitar, electric guitar, bass, vocals, and for percussion we use a Cajon. Really appreciate you planting the seed, it’s such a fun song to learn and play, I’ve been practicing (acoustic reggae and vocals ) for my fish every night and they seem to like it. 😀 thanks again really appreciate you.👊🏼🤙🏽💯
My only critique is, solos don’t have to be note for note. Just play what YOU think will fit there! (As long as you’re in the key of course, which is A mixolydian)
Thanks I really appreciate you helping me out. I normally play rhythm and Bass. This is only the second solo I’ve ever even attempted to learn (the first and only other solo I know is the About a Girl solo by Nirvana ) and I just started playing around with it tonight. What you said makes sense. I did another version where I had more slides and it was a little different but more fun and felt natural. You’re right I’m probably trying to go for note what I hear on the album And what’s ingrained into my brain. But when Brad played it live, he had fun with it. Again, I really appreciate you commenting and helping me out. Thank you so much. 👊🏼
Hey brother! Freaking love, that song. It's definitely a solo everyone should learn. Loosen up a bit and keep grinding! You are so close already! Good Job My Dude!
@@detroitdiggler2728 👊🏼🤙🏽thanks brother. I just started playing around with this one tonight, not too bad for a rhythm guitarist and a bass player, huh? 😝 I promise to keep at it.
