We're being spoiled this week huh?

This has been a constant source of anxiety... sigh. I've had many blogs over the years and only recently I've realized I did this because I felt more comfortable behind being a brand, but also because deep down inside I felt a bit afraid to get all the attention myself. In hindsight, I think it would have been smarter for me to develop a personal brand that would have followed me over these changes, rather than trying to develop an independent audience for each project... and with a personal brand is easier to launch additional projects, rather than the other way around... Idk... I'd like to say I don't worry about this anymore but right now I'm trying to move my "art blog" audience into my personal account and I've committed to developing my own personal brand over the next six months and then reevaluate. We'll see how it goes! :)

Neither really aligns with me. I don't like the way 'content creator' waters down what specifically people do or make. I do not like my art to be described as 'pieces of content' and I'm not sure I'm exactly cut out for the constant 'add value' mantra everyone repeats. For example, if im not teaching, it's not valuable. I do like your videos, they are helpful, Just my 2 cents!

Who would want to be an influencer? Sorry but those are self absorbed scammers trying to proffit from their "community" by selling essentialy their soul.

This isn’t true. Casey. Kold. Daniel dalen. John Harris. Life of riza. These are all content creators. Influencers are yappaholics people that uses their looks or “personality” (Jake Paul) to help create content and make brain rot stuff. Meanwhile content creators actually tell a story or share their journey through visual art 🖼️

This is honestly so helpful, this was a huge debate on tiktok recently and this is the first time I’ve heard “content creator” described in this way. Most people on tiktok were trying to say influencers sell people things, content creators make valuable content. (I like your explanation better)

Hi Katie, I’m listening to this on Apple Podcasts and there are some really serious audio issues (e.g. around 2:40) i had to whip my AirPods out because it was such a loud noise. I can hear there is an audio issue at the same moment on this RUclips upload but it’s not serious like it is on Apple Podcasts. I think you may want to address it!

I did changed my niche because motherhood community is really toxic. I felt like copy cat when creating comedy content. Now i feel happy and more geniune. Thanks a lot for this video cause it validated my decision.

i love your content and I have seen an improvement with my own content creation process with all your amazing tips. I do struggle with coming up with content for my trendy reels as I don't out my face in my videos and i haven't quite mastered the text on screen in reels yet.

Love your content! This was very well laid out. One thing I struggle with, is coming up with text for viral reels. I have an idea on what I want to say, but I don’t know the right hooks to use or wording to use to help make it engaging and concise. Any tips on that in the future is super appreciated.
