I always like when people can get a good deal!

The bike is 31 inches wide by 72 inches long. This is a very large heavy bike.

Stability and weight will be no problem. I am heavier than you are and found it very stable. It doesn't have foot rests of any kind so you should be okay with height if you put the seat far enough back.

My old one was the Hydroforce 2 seater Ventura. Amazing kayak, for all of £240 when I got it. It was my vessel, sofa, and bed on my endless adventures ha.

I wouldn’t want to even try a higher seat pad on this one. I’m right at the weight limit to start with. After paddling it several hours I’m comfortable in it and don’t feel like it’s constantly about to tip. The seat is equally uncomfortable as almost every other kayak seat out there if your butt is planted in it for a few hours. I find lifting myself up and shifting an inch or 2 on the seat every half hour helps.

You can wear it around your waist backwards. Inflating in that position would put the cushion up on your back and then you would be floating head under water. In the correct orientation it gives you an air pillow in your lap to hold onto.

There is at least one picture on Bote’s website of someone using it as a SUP. They don’t advertise it as a Kayak/SUP combo. At 38 inches wide by 10 feet long it’s going to be an even slower SUP than it is a kayak.

Just search Amazon or Google for "pegboard clamps" or "Pegboard clips". Your looking for the type that has screws or bolts attaching it through the holes in the rack.

Most standard 12 volt outlets are 10 amp which makes them 120 watt.

The Shark 3 only uses 2 compressors when it's running off the internal battery. When it's running off a 12 volt source, it only uses one compressor. The reason for this is the amp limit of most 12 volt outlets which is around 10 amps. The internal battery can put out a few times that. There isn't enough current capacity available from most 12 volt outlets and they don't want you blowing fuses in your car or causing a fire.

The Prodigy XC is far far better than an Aventure 2 for actual trail riding. The mid-drive handles slow steep climbs much better than the hub motors do. I have ridden our Aventure2 on mountain bike trails to try it. The motor is really not happy at slow rpm’s crawling up steep climbs. That is the condition where mid-drives shine. Mid-drives are much easier to pedal motor off than hub motors. You don’t have all the drag from the in-powered motor. You could ride a Prodigy all day like a regular bike no problem. 1 mile on an unpowered Aventure 2 absolutely sucks. The Prodigy XC has no throttle. I have ridden 1 mid-drive bike that had a throttle. It’s like driving a manual transmission car. You have to shift a lot to keep the motor in a happy RPM range. This is why most mid-drives don’t have throttles. Throttle only riding is one of the things that hub motors do a lot better. You get a nice proportional 0-20mph throttle speed range without shifting.

The reason is the current limit you can pull from a 12 volt outlet in a car without blowing the fuse. 2 compressors would pop the fuse right away. Most cars have a 10 amp limit on the 12 volt volt outlets. The 6000 mah battery in the Shark 3 can easily do 60 amps at a 10c current rate without drastically reducing the lifespan of the battery.

None of them are great to ride without the motor. Some are a lot better than others. E-Bikes with regular street tires (Aventon Level or Mokwheel Asphalt) pedal not that bad. E-Fat Bikes like an Aventure, Basalt, and RadRover are at the horrible end of the spectrum. Mid-drives ride almost like a non-ebike when the motor is off. The motor has very little drag on the overall pedal system. If I wanted a not-so-expensive, lighter weight ebike to through in the back, I would look at the Lectric XP Lite or Gotrax F1. Single speed without suspension bikes get down to a much lighter weight. My biggest complaint with every folding e-bike I have had is just how heavy they are to pick up.

These are the same disc brakes that came on my 24 lb hardtail regular mountain bike. You through them on a 70lb bike with big extra wide and heavy wheels and then give it a motor so it goes a lot faster. Brake pads aren't going to last nearly as long on these things. I'm surprised that there aren't more 4 piston front brakes on any of these fat tire e-bikes even in the mid-price and up range.

I looked up the efin. I don't see an adaptor that would work with the fin box type on the Weekender. The slide-in adapter image does not look similar to the generic slide-in box that a lot of inflatables use. Boost and Bixpy both have adapters that will work. I tried a Boost Fin and didn't find it great. The functionality is more torwards a quick motor boost for someone surfing and not a continuous motor run on a paddleboard or kayak. I would probably skip the Boost. For mounting an existing trolling motor you could use something like the "Brocraft Inflatable Kayak Electric Motor Mount/SUP Paddle Board Motor Mount" on Amazon and then glue 2 Scotty mounts onto the board to work with it.

My review sample does not. I know according to Outdoor Master they are supposed to. My display does not turn on under 12 volt power until I hit the power button to turn it on. If it's charging under 12 volt it's not giving any indication that it is charging. With a USB cord, the display turns on with a flashing bar to show it's charging.

I will take it into consideration. The spokes are different on each side of the wheel and different for the front and back. They are also different for each hub motor design and rim design. The easiest way to find the spoke length you actually need is taking one off of the wheel you have and measure it. If you are trying to build a new wheel then you need to measure for the hub size and rim size you have. The dimensions from a similar bike may not be the same because there is a huge difference in hole locations between different hub motors even if they say they are the same wattage.

I think the Shark 3 and 2s are a bit lower pitch so the noise isn't quite as obnoxious. The Shark 3's 2 compressors don't seem to raise the volume at all compared to the Shark 2s. That being said they are still loud. They might be 10-15% more quiet than a Shark 2 or other older design 2 stage pump. I haven't tested an electric paddleboard pump yet that I would classify as quiet.

There are 4 bars that surround the rest of the display. As it drains the bars turn off.

Yes. It starts with 0 bar and goes up to 4 bars when charging. The bar flashes while charging. You see 4 solid bars when it's finished.

Thanks for clearing that up. There’re reviewers who complained that it doesn’t have indications of the charging status.

When you plug a USB-C cable into the pump, the display turns on and one of the 4 battery bars will start flashing. When it's full the last flashing bar turns solid.

The Shark 3 has 2 air compressors in it that run at the same time. The Shark 2s only has 1 compressor in it. The Shark 3 inflates boards twice as fast. The Shark 3 can inflate my Red Paddle Co Voyager 12'6" to 20 psi in 7 minutes and 24 seconds. It takes my Shark 2s 13 minutes and 2 seconds using a 12 volt source or 16 minutes and 38 seconds using battery to inflate the same board.

I'm glad you found it helpful. One of our paddling friends is still using our Shark 2. It's still going strong after a few years.

The Seawolf S20LI has a bigger battery (10,000mah vs 7400mah) so it will inflate more boards. It will be slower than the Shark 3. The Seawolf S20LI is running both cylinders off the same motor where the Shark 3 has 2 independent compressors. (You only get 1 compressor when running off a 12 volt source and 2 when running off the internal battery). I have no hands on experience with Swonder gear. I've had my hands on almost everything paddleboard and skiing related from Outdoor Master and have used their customer service service a couple times when things didn't work and they were always quick with replacements.

@@Northern_Rockhopper Without a doubt. My wife in the front, holding onto our collie (he likes to jump in lol) and myself in the rear, paddling away quite easily!! So yes, one person would be fine, and much more room to carry whatever.

@@lowbudgetadventurers Yes, it cuts through the water real good! We did a lot of research, before making our purchase. Its a really good kayak, and it has dropped in price quite a bit since last year. We paid just over £500 for ours from Bluefin.

It would also depend on how heavier the rider was and whether it was flat ground or hills. You have to pedal it really hard just to go 28mph because of the gearing. You might get 30 miles range but you’re going to have to work really hard for it.

My 6'5" 330 lb friend who rides my Zebra regularly always rides it at max pedal assist level as fast as he can go. He gets about 30 miles out of it also on a charge riding that way.

No. All E-Scooters and E-Bikes come partially charged between about 50-75%. You need to charge it fully before riding the first time.

Yes. The default setting on the scooter is that throttle activates when the scooter isn't moving. You can change it to kick to start in the settings menu.

There has to be some brand available there with a bike that isn't that different. There are probably at least 10-15 brands with very similar bikes to the Level 2 available in the US.

We have had both bikes. The Aventure 2 has slightly better pedal driveline components. Not enough to justify a $400 difference. It has a smart phone app you can use for changing settings. Not sure that is really worth that much either. Aventure 2 comes with a rear rack which the Tundra doesn't. Those are the advantages for the Aventure 2. The Tundra has a 20 ah battery verse the 15 ah the Aventure 2 comes with. This is a significant difference for range. 44 miles for Aventure 2 verse 55 miles for Tundra in our range test. The other big difference is the cadence sensor like PAS level 5 on Tundra. It lets you go 28mph very easily without pedaling hard. To go 28mph on the Aventure 2 you have to pedal like a monster. This in my mind is a huge advantage for the Tundra. I see a ton of complaints in the Aventon groups regarding how hard it is to ride 28mph on the torque sensor Aventure 2 vs how easy it was on the cadence sensor Aventure 1. Having 1 PAS level that acts like a cadence sensor instead of a torque sensor solves that problem.

The Tundra has a top speed of 28mph with pedal assist. When the bike was launched the website said the top speed was 20mph for pedal assist. They have corrected it since then.

20 pounds heavier. That’s a no-go for me.

The AIPAS wins hands down for performance. At 65 lbs, I kind of wonder what the point of making it foldable is. You almost need 2 people to pick that up to put it in the back of the car. I'm not a fan of any folding bike that is over about 50 lbs. Above that, I'd rather use a bike rack I can roll the bike up onto.

I agree. I don't really see the point to really heavy folding bikes. A folding bike should be lightweight and easy to pick up and put in things. If it's going to weigh 60 to 80 lbs it's easier to use a regular bike and a hitch rack you can roll it up onto. At that weight I would buy a non-folding fat tire bike.

@@lowbudgetadventurers I don’t think it’s meant to be folded every time it’s used, it’s more of a convenience like if you want to take it on vacation or storing it. But the quality and price is really what made me buy one, two! 😄

How many hills do you need to ride up? That Tenways bike will be very smooth and quiet with the belt-drive. With only a 350 watt motor and single speed it won't be great for climbing. The range with a 10ah battery will be closer to 30 to 35 miles with PAS or 20 miles with throttle. It will be easier to load and unload onto a rack at 37 lbs.

It has the same IPX4 waterproof rating as the Aventon Aventure 2 and most other similarly priced ebikes.

@@lowbudgetadventurers even so, I feel like that's a pretty important detail for a bike that's intended for snow and sand. I suppose renaming it the "Sahara" or something would be cheaper tho

If you want to ride throttle only most of the time, a hub motor would be a better option. You get the full speed range of the bike without needing to shift gears. The throttle is almost always proportional, even on $500 level ebikes. Any mid-drive will always power the bike through the pedal driveline, so it will require shifting when using the throttle. If your the type who likes driving manual transmission cars because you feel like you have more control, you might like the mid-drive with throttle combination.

the Varla Eagle 1 v2.0 is my favorite e-scooter of everything I have had or ridden. The Pegasus is a lot of fun and a bit easier to transport.

I have had an Aventure 2, Level 2, Pave 500.3 and Sinch2 for review. I only have the Level 2 on RUclips so far. The Pace 500.3 has the same motor and feeling of power as the Level 2. It just has a more upright riding position. It's a bit lighter weight since it doesn't have fenders, rack, and front light. For me the Pace 500.3 is my least favorite of the 4. I like the riding position of the Level 2 better and the ride is a little softer with the front shock.

@@SnoopyReads the Level 2. We reviewed both of these bikes along with an Aventure 2 and Synch 2. The Level 2 is my favorite of the 4. It has a smoother ride than the Pace because of the front shock. It comes with fenders and the rack included. It has a larger battery than the Pace so a bit more range. There is no reason you couldn't get a set of swept back handlebars for a Level if you really wanted an even more upright riding position.
