Quick steps through the Double Diamond
Просмотров 35 тыс.8 лет назад
Simple explanation on the Double Diamond model by bald Dutch educator. The model is owned by the British Design Council. I'm just a fan! NOTE Please take ONE step at the time! Rushing will absolutely ruin the process. www.designcouncil.org.uk/sites/default/files/asset/document/ElevenLessons_Design_Council (2).pdf
Straight to the point
thnx a lot🎯
Dear viewer, At the time of production I was very focused on keeping this vid short and simple. Now I realise that I should have mentioned that iterations (jumping back before jumping forth again) will most probably be needed and welcomed!
nice explanation , simple and clear thanks you
Great, Paul! Very clear!
Great video Paul, thank you for sharing!
The best I've seen so far. Thanks
One might wonder why IB came up with this 'new' model, see media.nngroup.com/media/articles/attachments/Design-thinking-101-NNG.pdf
Please upload more videos like that. They are really helpful!

Excellent!
Why not so much about quality ? we need to think about of quality right ? Which phase are we doing the feasibility study ?
Quality is typically in the divergent parts. That is where 'chaff and wheat' are divided.
The feasibility study is typically the Deliver-phase. You 'do' or 'act' your new service (process) and find out how good it is.
@@paulhartogobsolete4787 thanks for explaining
@@buskinglankans You are most welcome!

Great explanation. Thank you.
You are welcome!
Paul rocks!!!!
How did you get here Ivan?
@@paulhartogobsolete4787 the 3 minute video is more useful than the 1 hour lecute
I know, sorry 'bout that... I was forced into that :)
Oops! 1 I should have stated that one can move through the model in both directions, hence the double headed arrows. For example: one might get more/better ideas during prototyping in which you will move back from prototyping to ideation. 2 I should have explained that the prototype needs to be 'quick & dirty'. If you make it too nice & fancy people may feel troubled to tell the truth since you put so much time & effort (& money?) in it.
Great video Paul! You make it very clear. It would be great to use this in my class on service design theory, if that's ok!
Thanks! You are very welcome! Note: the model is not my intellectual property. I like that it's easy to recognise when to divert and convert, I ♥ the alliterations and I also 'secretly' enjoy that this is a step out of the 'Stanford doctrine'.
Great explanation about the double diamond Paul. It is a quite new model for me. Thank you! Im interesting in learning more about it.
Spread the word! It's my absolute fave and I kinda like that this is NOT a Stanford thingy :)

An experienced teacher with patient and humor. This video is clear and organized. LIKE!!!
very nice, simplistic way of teaching this method. thanks.
You are very welcome! I'm aware that it can be improved but this 'quick and dirty' thingy might do the job eh?
