Model Fairground Skid
Просмотров 5 тыс.12 лет назад
Pete's finally completed the construction of my one 12th scale model skid. Its four and a half feet in diameter and about 18 inches high and its quite noisy.the making of the cars was the biggest job and the making of small castors to fit them, its powered by a brand new speed controlled electric drill, the machine breaks down and can be packed up but is qiute time consuming, it needs a light f...
How much machone capacity? Thanks
I thought arch Stanton was buried in sad hill cemetery in Spain…
Quro adquirir uma como faz maravilhoso e prático
Its the Hiller XROE 1 Rotor Cycle
Close copy
Is it still called Rotorcycle, as before. Similar frame, with jets on tip of top rotor blades was still simple chopper. Power generated and used in top rotor, did not exert any force on frame, hence NO TAIL ROTOR. A radar could creat yoing to turn.
Tip jet drive has come and gone, due to huge fuel consumption and noise
Really great work Peter, looks super with all the lights and music. 👍
Looks like fun for all, well, maybe not all LOL. But sure looks like a blast to fly.
C'est quoi cette musique de merde ..... Tres derangante .....
Oi tudo bom. Ou eu quero comprar um aparelho deste aí. Tem como
Fucked up music man
hi, is it for sale? i m searching for one so long
Where can buy it?
Thats the trouble you cant buy one. i think the company dosnt exist any more. this video is about 10 yrs old
Where to buy spare parts to make helicopters, please tell the address
What a fantastic bit of kit, if we can get a few hundred of them the guys can take themselves to the offshore oil and gas rigs, then I won't have need to go to work. Nice music too 👍
how much do u want for it peter if you want to sell it?
Pete here .i still still have the model. fully set up and operational. the colors have faded a bit on the rounding boards but all good...
just wondering if pete still has this model skid
You probably have to have outstanding pilot skills due to its small tail rotor boom. like the Hiller Rotorcycle it came and went very qiuckly like this machine .
This is a 50 years old project from Hiller. Some one at least toked and build it again with new clothes and it's very good

I think you will find the company Helitechnica went to the wall there is a couple more examples of this machine on you tube. I did contact a guy in France but he wouldn't say much. not helpful. it all ended up a blind alley........Peter
someone could give me information on this helicopter? where they sell? how much the kit? any website?
Were is it this helicopter?
Superb Peter, well done!
Nice one Pete! Makes my lap steel guitar look a bit of a doddle. Swimming Les.
How much ?
That is fab
I believe This machine is a one off project, they cannot be bought all you could do is beg borrow or steal a set of plans if you could find it...............Peter
COOL! Working on a similar kit copter idea. For laughs check out "Helicopter Model 4 Monocopter".
why would you need a license ? it comes under the heading of light weight kits ? like a gyro copter , where all you need is a place to land and take off from..?
How did you get the cars to swivel independantly? as its as if the dolls are pushing the pedals???? SUPERB BIT OF ENGINEERING AND MACHINE!
Carolann, if i ever sell it it would have to be a cash and carry sale.....Peter
If anyone out there knows anything about the ins and out and origins of this machine it would be nice
Theres 2 examples of this machine, but unfortunatley there dosnt seem to be any info whatsoever about it, availibility, kit etc, unless anyone out there knows anything???
would you every sell this and send it to ireland
Hi , good effort , by the way its a kit or completely homemade?
I sub to ur channel
Its a beautiful sight to see him put it together and totally starting it up and taking off. It really is. Here are the questions. How much does it cost? Do I have to get a pilots license for it?
This may sound stupid. Is there a person who can build it for me?
"Do I have to get a pilots license for it?" YES
Thanks just wanted to know.
i reckon it took me 18 months to build but thats on and off, man hours i dont know, it still needs a lighting flashing system, which i havent got round to....Peter
How long did this take to make ?
hi if you ever consider selling please call me i have other 1/12 rides this would be a great addition kind rgds,07761644049
Lovely model, looks Great
Hi i reckon it must of cost in the region of £500 top whack in materials, but if you counted the man hours I dont know what the total would be. Im always open to offers should anyone want it.............Peter
if you ever want to sell it please let me know. rgds minty
the wheels are half inch diameter steel with bent brass wire for the swivel, the wheels/casters are one of the hardest things to undertake on this project. Pete.
Pete, Absolutely fantastic. Oh! to be able to return to our halcyon days, just for a while. Fantastic piece of engineering, Great! Royce family
what wheels did ya use for the cars
must impressive piece of model engineering, well done i wish i was doll...
Wow, hard to believe this is a model! absolutely amazing. Great to celebrate these lovely rides from our young years which are sadly gradually disappearing. Well done!!
