Sometimes, we tend to view people through the lens of how they can benefit us. In today’s world, many of us seek to associate with those who ‘have it all together’ or who can elevate us financially or socially. But I’ve come to realize that help doesn’t always come in those forms. Often, it’s the people who guide us spiritually, support us emotionally, strengthen us physically, or feed us intellectually who truly make a difference. I believe divine friendships or connections play a holistic role in our lives, far beyond what we might expect. It’s not just about financial gain or social connections; sometimes, it’s about those who help us grow in our knowledge of God, become more disciplined, develop our character, or challenge us to grow in ways we never imagined. When we limit our idea of help to just financial or social benefits, we risk overlooking the true value of the people God has placed in our lives. Maybe the person who lacks material wealth is actually here to teach us how to pray, show us kindness, or offer support and encouragement. Sometimes, we might underestimate them, but then we realize how much they uplift us and contribute to our growth in profound ways.
