@ExtremelySimplified thank you bro 🤝🏻 since your active here amma just ask what i wanted to ask you quickly, does the codec trick work only on long form content or on shorts too? because am getting vp09 almost every short and sometimes even av01 while uploading on 1080p only 🤷🏻♂️, second question is does this trick of exporting in 4k for example work on other platforms? like TikTok and Instagram/facebook 🤔
As far as I know, RUclips determines the codec on Shorts purely based on initial views. I myself upload in 4K60 for all my shorts just in case RUclips does the same thing to Shorts as the long-form videos. As for Instagram and TikTok, I'm not quite sure but I think they only accept 1080p videos, so it's doesn't matter which resolution or codec we use. I'm not sure though.

I just want to ask that assume if i buy an rtx 4060 for streaming and gaming then i start recording my game at AV1 then H265 and then at H264 then how much will be the fps diffrence in all the scenarios? i just hope you understand what im asking sorry im noob and i have to buy my first graphics card so im confused between used RTX 30 series and New rtx 40 series just because of this encoding thing... @@sharmamatic I recorded the video using a different PC which is a laptop, then I took that video which I called "Source" and compressed it with Davinci Resolve Studio to different codecs using the slowest presets. From the tests I've done I've noticed this: 10 Mbps Target Bitrate: • AV1: 00m22s - 83.2 MB - 174.5 FPS - 89.637837 • H.265: 00m32s - 83.3 MB - 120 FPS - 87.357988 • H.264: 00m21s - 80.0 MB - 182.8 FPS - 79.982007 H.264 is the fastest codec but it has way too many compression artifacts. The second fastest is AV1 which I recommend all the time. The average encoding FPS is how many frames per second can the encoder do in a single second. For your case just buy the latest because you'll get AV1 codec which is better and also faster than H.265. RTX 4060 is better.

Great job dude! I've been doing same tests at work (for streaming to youtube) with pretty static image with much noise (videocamera broadcasting record) and every time NVENC HEVC got more VMAF score than NVENC AV1 at low bitrates. Only at 5k AV1 had same VMAF score and little more VMAF score at 6k+ bitrates. So I think HEVC is a little bit better option for static noisy videos broadcasting with lower bitrate.

I did some research and I have a 1650 and I can use HEVC... why don't you recommend it?

@@ExtremelySimplified It seems that is working only for H.264 (x264) - using the CPU.. Do you know the correct syntax (if it exists) for the GPU versions of H.265 (NVEnc) or H,264 (NVEnc) because keyint=15 seem to be ignored and inserts key frames very far apart ? The reason I ask is because the CPU version of the encoder is so very slow...
