So in your oppinion the snes version is a "terrible" port maybe I'm biased cause I grew up with it but I think at least the graphics look better than on gebesis don't you think btw I haven't played the sega version yet but I'd live to some day

From the looks of it, Maui/Cold Shadow would've had a sidekick that the player or second player controlled.

Interesting points I've seen: - SNES sprites. Considering the SNES' version of Maui Mallard was launched after the original Genesis/PC version, is possible that some sprites and other GFX from the SNES version would be used in the sequel. - Pirate theme. Looks like the shipwreck level on the first game (and the realm of the d...d) was kind of a foreshadowing of what will would see in the sequel. Maybe this sequel could also set up a third chapter, making a Maui trilogy. - Considering Maui has a muddrake pal, the story won't happen in a totally new place, but maybe in the other side of the same island of the first game. And the subject might be of interest to the muddrakes, like a curse or something like that.

My eyes went full of water. Even after playing blockbusters like God of War, Uncharted and The Last of Us, Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow remains as my favorite game of all time. I read the interview in the past, saw the screenshots, but didn't knew there were playable levels like this. It's insane to think what this game could have been.

Something about the 90s looks so lively and breath of fresh air.

Most of the assets were there though. Why stop development so far into the game ? I got the first one when very young, so it kinda has a special meaning to me. Which the sequel would have happened.

Still one of my favorite games and made my own EWJ figure too :-D

This was also going to be released for the Sega Saturn, but I suppose the lead development platform was the PlayStation and unfortunately nothing was ever done for the Sega Saturn at the early state the game was left. Too bad.

"Maui Mallard 3: The Quackening"... It's kind of funny that a cancelled game that has frustrated me for so long has in itself a sequel hook to nowhere! Thank you for all the data about the series you've gathered over the years.

This is my first time knowing about this, i always wanted to have a sequel of this game, to bad disney chickened out on making a series out of it.

Thank you So Much for this. Surely this game made my childhood a little better. Currently, as a game developer, I'm making a game using many mechanics from this one and I'll post a homage for it when release the Kickstarter campaign. Once again, thanks a lot for sharing

I remember watching Earthworm Jim on channel 4 back in the 90s when I was a kid and enjoyed watching , I'm really happy that the series is on complete DVD and got it so I can enjoy watching the episodes since the series is no longer broadcast on TV anymore. I still wished more of my 90s cartoons there were broadcast on channel 4 are finally released onto complete DVD at last like Space Cats, Creepy Crawlers, Super Dave, Hammerman, and The Adventure of Hyperman🤞.
