All that has to be scripted from the audio complete and would require lists. I have a complete jukebox script. If you're interested, create an empty world, call it jukebox and add me as an editor and I'll drop it in.

Wonderful tutorials, thank you very much! You really get into the nuts and bolts, which is much appreciated and rarely found elsewhere! I did have a couple follow up questions, if that's OK. At 22:44 could you explain why it is necessary to check if the PPV equals 0? Couldn't you just set it to 1 no matter what it was originally? Thank you so much for the videos by the way. They are great and you are obviously very good at this!!
Also, sorry for the dumb question but I am not really seeing why you have the four connecting events to triggers code blocks at the start. I am sure they are accomplishing something but the logic of the code seems to be self consistent without them. Could you please also explain why they are there? Thanks so much !again!!
The connections are there so I can have it all run on one script. For the PPV I'm using it as a Boolean 0 for false 1 for zero. Everyone starts off at zero so only people I want to be VIP will be 1.

btw, there are 1000 milliseconds in a second, not 10 :) Still, in my experience this might be the most precise timer you can make with an event loop in horizon worlds. Attempting to have it update every 0.01 seconds or 0.001 seconds (ms doesn't really run any faster than this). I've been looking for a way to do a highly precise timer with ms precision, and haven't found on as yet.
The send event won't run faster than 0.01. you will have to use update to make it more precise. Though not sure off the top of my head the formula for horizon.

Did you make any changes to the script in the video? It should always be looking at the player it is assigned. Also the object in the video doesn't have gravity.

i need help i need to grab the player index to apply a belt to a player that joins without it giving it to others till they leave how would i do this
Create the player manager like it is in the video but add an object variable for the belt. Then when it comes time to assign the belt attach it to the active player for the player manager.
Can you do one so you can make it so owner and editors and testers can go through the VIP
You will still have to either add their names to a list or have a ppv for VIP and set it for each player.

I know what you are referring to. But I won't be able to make any tutorials until October as I'm still in college. However, every Thursday night at 9pm est we teach code blocks in the world "Codeblocks 101" you can ask questions there.

How do you get an object to move forward then gradually turn at a 30 degree angle while elevating upwards?

Having issues with my script. Once I combine everything the gun will shoot the projectile, I even have a sound animation that works. But if I attempt to change the color of the projectile after firing it the projectile turns invisible or stops working but the sfx still works when trigger is pulled. Any idea on what I’m doing wrong? My script was {when index trigger is pressed by player {launch projectile from (bullet variable) {Play sound on (sfx variable) Combined all objects and attached script variables. It worked went into test mode shot the gun had sound. Went back to creating mode changed color of the projectile from white to blue. Headed back into test mode no projectile but sfx was still there. I attempted to erase my variables from my script and detach entire script from the gun. Re did variables re attached script to gun. Still no projectile but still have the sound. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
How fast is it being launched? Add the when projectile hits static object to script on the projectile launcher, add a debug with some text and see if it is hitting something or not. Might just not be able to see it. Will have to add a cube to fire at.
@@GausRothTutorials I had the projectile launch at 50 but for some reason I think the world was just not responding to the code. I sat there for 5 minutes pulling index trigger after I sent the comment to you and it ended up working. I gave up for the day went back and it worked fine. I set the speed to 250 to mess around and it worked as welI. I was wondering if you could help me with a script issue or possibly make a video on it. I made my script local to help with lag but even after that, the projectile doesn’t shoot straight from the point where I placed it if the player is moving left or right while pulling index trigger. It’s better but not perfect. Is there a loop for a script to make the projectile lag less? I’ve played a few worlds on horizon and seen that people have it very quick and responsive almost 0 lag. I just can’t find a video that shows the code or how to preform the actions. Thanks for the quick response from last comment 🙏

ik this was posting a year ago, but is it still possible if you can make a tut for if something like a monster sees you, you get chased by any chance?
I won't have time to make a tutorial until October unfortunately. I'm currently going for my masters degree and am too busy. However, the core code that is in this tutorial. You just wouldn't start the follow until the player entered a trigger or got too close to the monster.

Thank for the tutorial, Iv'e been trying to animate some choreographed movement but when i come to play the recorded movement it like it only records some of the movements and the start point rotates by itself too. For example if i were to record that square moving over the finishing line and back again multiple times in one recording and then play it back, the square would go off at a random angle and move forward and backward but would also miss out some of the forward and backward movement. Its making it impossible to record anything more complex than animating something moving in a straight line and then stopping. ive tried with collisions off and on too to in case of physics engine problems. Do you have any tips when it comes to recording more complex movements than just a straight line? Thanks in advance!
Animations can be a bit off in edit mode. Try watching it in preview or published mode.

You mean Perlin Noise? I've played with it a few times. If I remember correctly it generats random float values that can be assigned to a tile. This could be coupled with a seed system where you can get the same map based off of the seed value.

How do i make a cooldown for guns that shoot when player presses trigger? I dont want spam with a sniper in my game
You will have to add a Boolean to where your firing and check if it is true to allow it to be fired. Then when it is fired set the Boolean to false and send to a custom event with a delay. In the custom event flip the Boolean back to true.

Bro, I was searching for HOW TO MAKE A BASKETBALL HOOP THAT CONTINUOUSLY COUNTS A +1 POINT FOR WORLD LEADER BOARDS. You gave me this link. this link is as far away from my honest request as Mars is. Besides, I have a hunch your videos are outdated and missing steps as all the other ones i've watched lol. I'm still searching for a youtuber that actually puts in EVERY STEP, and not most. see, in algebra, we need EVERY STEP TO BE SUCCESSFUL in order for the RESULT/ANSWER to be correct/functioning. That's just me, though. thanks for your time, but umm, no thanks, i'll search another youtuber and see if she/he knows how to make a successful video on STEP BY STEP results for MetaHorizons.

again, your video doesn't show HOW TO SWITCH TO NORMAL MODE AND TEST THE SHOOTING POSSIBILITIES!!! i can't do it, you can do it. why?!? you dont explain WHY or HOW you are testing the examples, do you already have a gun next to the shooter/arrow??? was this information included at the beginning of the video? im following it and it's failing. im reading others comments and they're not saying what im saying, so wtf is happenign here?!? DO WE NEED A GUN NEXT TO THE ARROW TO MAKE IT WORK VIA TRIGGER?!?!?!? because it's NOT shooting off anything at any CUBE in MY world. SMH. is this innate knowledge? i should've been born knowing this? is there BUT ONE video on youtube that actually shows ALL the steps to make the script WORK?!? i've yet to find ONE.
The arrow is the projectile launcher gizmo and this is what is being used to fire. It doesn't matter what it's attached to i.e gun, wand, nothing. You need to make sure your object references are linked properly to the object holding the script that is referencing the launcher gizmo. How you "launch projectile from launcher" is up to you but what you need to make sure is that the object reference is the correct object variable and it's is linked properly.
I go over all of this in the video so make sure not to skip through it and if necessary rewatch it a few times. There have also been some issues with edit mode so you might have to leave the world for a few minutes and return.
Okay, I'll try to write down this script, but I'm still trying to find a script step-by-step for PPV adding scores +1 for basketball shooting. OOF
I haven't forgotten about you. I just have some family responsibilities to take care of this week. I do have a PPV video that goes over how to create one and increment it by one.

*BRO* ! !! !! ! . . . This worked , thanks, but I WANT TO USE AN OBJECT(s) as the 'leaderboard-counter' . . . I tried to use "WHEN OBJECT" instead of "WHEN PLAYER" and it didn't seem to work, so... When using a trigger with objects you have to set the tag on the trigger. This tag has to match the tag on the object. Also the object has to be collidible for the trigger to be triggered. For the script you have to use when trigger is entered by object.

@@nordicaryanAntiZog it doesn't matter what you tag it as just as long as it matches the tag on the trigger. Its case sensitive to.
@@nordicaryanAntiZog I might be misunderstanding but you can only set a leaderboard for a player. You can set the leaderboard when the object enters the trigger but you will still need a reference to a player.

"I want to set a PLAYER-LEADER-BOARD for an OBJECT such as a basketball in a +1 setting, i.e, everytime i pick up my OBJECT(the basketball), and put that object into the trigger placed within the basketball net, it scores +1 point. and it continues to 2 points, 3 points, each time i make it into the trigger/basket net area, ect.,. I see other worlds having this game as well as other events with scores of +1 everytime you score something or finish a maze you get 1 point added to the WORLD LEADER BOARD. Seems this is a rather simple process to do, but i only find videos of SOME of it, i.e, "furthest shot' world leader board with a basketball/object. and i dont want that lol, i want the PERSISTANT +1 each time me or anyone who enters my world to pick up the object(basketball) and puts it into the trigger/(hoop/net area) and it continues even when i come back into that world the next day. This seems almost intentionally illusive to me. There's simply STEPS required to do this, and i can't patch 1/2 a video to another 1/5th of a video's steps because the scripting simply REDs out/konks out saying it's an ERROR. i.e, the steps are wrong/out of place. IF POSSIBLE, do you know how to SET A PLAYER'S SCORE WITH AN OBJECT(such as a basketball through a trigger/net in a +1 over and over perpetual WORLDS LEADER BOARD manner?!? STEP BY STEP? because i won't quit until i find this simple-enough step-process. lol. it's been over two weeks, now. it shouldn't take this long, i dont know why the main Oculus/Meta website doesn't have it ffs. lol. it's like fk'n pulling teeth OOF bro!!! IF POSSIBLE, could you help me STEP BY STEP, i.e, "Step-1"place this pill here" , step-2-Put this there etc,., I'd be appreciative man!!! luck to you <=======

I think there's a basketball hoop in the asset library. Not sure if it has a script with it or not. If not you'll have to add a trigger to the hoop and set it to object and set the tag to ball. Set the balls tag to ball as well. Then add a script to the trigger. You will also want to create a PPV, basketsMade When object enters trigger Set Ppv basketsMade for owner of ball to get Ppv basketsMade + 1 Ownership of the ball should transfer to the player that grabs it.
Have a question do you know the script to display text overtop of a players head when they enter a world and only for specific players it's the only creative block I'm having

Sorry for the late response. You can get the forward direction of the player but not sure if you can get the forward direction of the head. I'll have to play with it.

Both tags have to match.
