Sire P7 5 String Demo
Here's a demo of a Sire Marcus Miller P7 5-String bass I played at a worship service recently. A friend of mine let me use it for this service, and I must admit It is a real solid bass that produces a great tone. I took a few snippets from the worship set, mistakes and all, for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

Eastman T486 Demo
Просмотров 6021 день назад
Here's a video of me playing the Eastman T486 semi-hollow electric guitar in a live setting. This is my main electric, and I use it in mostly a church setting. It has a pair of Mojotone 59 Clone pickups, and I'm running it through my trusty Helix LT. You'll hear my clean ambient settings along with my overdrive and lead settings-mistakes and all. Enjoy!!

One of the things I love to do is play guitar in a worship setting, so here's a quick video of me doing what I love to do. We're doing a cover of Alaba (Praise) and Hablo Cristo (I Speak Jesus). I'm playing a Charvel Pro Mod DK24 that I modified; the Duncans were swapped out in favor of a set of Dimarzios-Tone Zone and Bluesbuckker specifically. I'm running through my trusty Helix LT, and overa...
Fender Player Jazz Bass Plus Top w/Original Jazz Bass Pickups Demo
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.8 месяцев назад
Here's a quick demo of a bass I bought a few months back and did a few upgrades on. I replaced the bridge with Fender's Hi-Mass bridge and swapped the Player Jazz bass pickups for a set of Original Jazz Bass Pickups (now known as the Pure Vintage 62 pickups I believe). Overall, the pickups sound well balanced with that classic Jazz Bass growl and have turned this bass into a solid playing instr...
Acoustic APDI Demo

Here I'm running through the settings of the Acoustic brand APDI preamp & DI pedal. Somehow there aren't many videos on this thing. I found this on sale online for about $80 and figured I'd give it a try; this led me to create a small pedalboard for my acoustic guitar which I may demo later once it's complete. Here I go through the settings and fiddle with the knobs to show you a feel for what ...
Dimarzio Air Classics Demo PRS SE Custom 24
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.Год назад
Here's a quick video where I'm demoing the Dimarzio Air Classic humbuckers. I bought these as a set to replace the stock ones on this PRS SE Custom 24; I really felt the stock pickups were lacking quite a bit. Nonetheless, I was pretty shocked at the clarity and top end of these pickups. They really brought the guitar to life!! I'm running through my trusty Helix LT into the interface and throu...
Martin GPC 15ME Special Streetmaster Demo

I recently came across this Guitar Center exclusive and just was so amazed by its sound I bought it! It's a Martin GPC-15ME Special Streetmaster acoustic-electric guitar equipped with the Fishman Matrix VT Enhance system. It's an all mahogany guitar with a distressed finished that is ok I guess...the guitar's sound more than makes up for it! Hopefully this video will give you an idea of what th...

Some clips from Sunday's worship session at VP Church. I'm running my PRS S2 McCarty 594 through the Helix LT using the Omega Snapshots by Chris Rocha. This was actually the first time I use these snapshots and was not disappointed!

PRS S2 McCarty 594 Demo w/Thornbuckers

Recently acquired this guitar and decided to do a demo. The pickups have been swapped out for Suhr Thornbuckers, and they sound sweet. "Beefy" doesn't even begin to describe this guitar!! The last part of the video contains the guitar in a mix, but the rest is just me playing and getting a feel for the guitar. As always, I'm running through my Helix LT.

Gibson Les Paul Tribute Demo

Today's demo involves the Gibson Les Paul Tribute with stock 490s in the neck and bridge. I've had this guitar for a while, but hadn't gotten the chance to make a video of it until now. I'm running the guitar through my Helix patches and noodling around, hence the errors...!!! Anyways, for a basic stripped down Les Paul, this guitar is pretty sweet; you can get smooth clean tones all the way up...
Vintage VJ75 Quick Demo
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.3 года назад
In this video, I'm demoing the Vintage brand VJ75 Reissued Bass. You get quite the bang for your buck with this bass. Here I'm reviewing it plugged in directly to my interface using a bass amp plugin on Garageband. So if any of you have considered or been wondering about this bass, give this video a look and let me know what you think of its sound.
The Area 59 isb't just my favorite Strat stack, it's my favorite Strat pickup of any kind. If you didn't know, you'd swear it as a true SC, because it sounds and feels just like one.
@@DougMen1 it can definitely produce the needed sounds.
How much does it weigh?
@@immanuelsiregar7395 I never really weighed it, but it was not that heavy at all. You could play it for a good while and not get too tired.
@@pnbonilla Thank you
Fantastic sound!
@@Lászlóifj.Patkós thanks!
👏👏👏👏🎸✨
I bought one in early 2022 and it is my "go-to" guitar at the house. I also have 18's and 28's and have had other 15's too (D-15M, DSS-15M, DC-15ME (given to my son)), but there is just something about THIS particular guitar that resonates so well to my ear. I also love that it is a 15 with a 1.75" nut width (which is why I finally got rid of the D-15M and DSS-15M). Still seriously thinking about a OOO-15SM with wide nut and 12-fret length. Great video and sound! Thank you.
@@danielj.pughsr.3520 thanks! It really is a great guitar! I tried out the 00016 SM the day I was buying this guitar, and it sounded sweet! The only reason I didn’t get it was that it had no electronics. But compared to all other acoustics I tried that day, I kept coming back to this one.

Did you replace the bridge, put in a Himass fender?
@@guitarplayeribeirao yes I did. Didn’t put that in the title though! 😆
I bought a fender of this model and I have a bridge like that. Do you think it improved the tone? Are the holes on both bridges the same?
@@guitarplayeribeirao I feel it gave the notes slightly more sustain and punch. As far as improving the tone, I wouldn't go as far as to say it did, but it did improve the feel of the bass slightly and add sustain as I mentioned. The holes were the same, so it did mount up easily.
What string has been used in this demo?
@@FPMediaVideoProduction Elixir Phosphor Bronze 12-53
@@pnbonilla thank you sir
Looking at one of these since the Player II came out the first run Player's are on sale for around 150 bucks less than the Player II's
@@MarcG7424 it’s been a solid bass so far.
So you actually downgraded it from active/passive circuitry to passive only?
@@unjay1967 no, not at all. It was passive to begin with. I think you’re confusing this model with the Player Plus Jazz bass. This is a special edition Player series bass that has a quilt/flame top.
I just hear reverb/delay. Could be any old pickups!
Just got one of these! I love this bass!
Thank you 😅 for not applying the stinky nipple grab; it’s when mostly synth Artist grab knobs like they’re pinching a stinky nipple!! 😅
Ha ha! Not here; gotta treat your knobs with tender care! 😆
Does it sound thin in person
Not at all. If anything, I find it sounds full-bodied. It won’t have the deep lows of a dreadnought, but it doesn’t sound thin whatsoever. Whenever I record or play live, I always end up cutting lows at a specific frequency and below because it gives off alot of low end. Its sound is right between a dreadnought and 000 shape. Hope this helps.
'promo sm' 😣
Have you had any issues with noise or hissing? The bass version of this seems to have that problem and I just wanna know if this one’s good.
I haven't had any noise issues thus far, and I use it every week. Pressing that ground/lift button really does silence it for the most part.
Which one would be better? Gpc 11E or Sc10E 01
Can’t really say. I’ve never tried the SC10E, but it seems to have a slimmer and more narrow body. I personally like the sound of the GPC models-they’re in between a dreadnought and OM and OOO size.
@@pnbonilla thanks for answer
your playing is amazing! question about the area 61, are they somewhat bright or less bright than a normal strat bridge pickup?
Thanks for the comment. Compared to a normal strat pickup, these are slightly less bright. You'll notice a difference as there are no piercing high notes. But adjusting the highs on your amp will give it some chime and brightness.
Wow so rounded and toneful, glad i have ordered these not the fender fat 50 or 60 these sound wonderful tbh
These sound great! How are you liking the pickups now that you’re a couple months in? I’ve been swapping different sets in my CU24 and am still on the hunt. I’ve always been curious about these. Would love any insight on this set!
I actually don't have the guitar anymore...lol. I will say this, they produced some of the best clean tones I've ever heard from humbuckers. The chime they had was amazing, and I got various compliments on the clean ambient sounds from people. The bottom end was a bit flubby sounding, but it wasn't a major deal breaker. They really are one of Dimarzio's hidden gems.
@@pnbonilla Thank you for taking the time to reply! did you do any additional wiring ie. coil tap/split or parallel wiring?
@@ConorLeeMusic Just coil split as the guitar had that modification from the factory. It was a push/pull tone pot that would split each pickup.
Gorgeous finish on that one and fantastic playing. I may be ordering the exact same bass this week. It sounds great and the Sterling necks always seem to feel really great.
Wow, nice tone! How about noise area61? Better than fender single pickup?
I really liked these pickups as opposed to the stock ones that came on it. The tone and clarity was superb.
Darn, my Strat looks the same 😎
😆
Hey man nice playing? I just picked up an HX Stomp. Noticed you said you’re running your Helix into your interface. I was trying that with the Stomp both as instrument and line level out and didn’t get a great result into my Presonus interface. Sounds better to me using the Stomp as interface via USB. Any tips or do you also prefer USB?
Thanks for the compliment bud. As for recording, I usually go line out into interface and adjust levels accordingly. I’ve gotten very hot signals going usb in directly from the helix, and I prefer to going line out into interface. I do adjust my presets to not be too loud as compared to everything bypassed so not to have unusual volume differences. My master volume knob is at 9 o’clock, and that gives me a suitable signal.
@@pnbonillathanks! I’ll try it with less signal going out of the stomp and higher input gain on the interface. It’s possible that I was sending too hot of a signal. 👍
Sounds great! Love these pickups.
Did you connect the wires the standard way?
Yes. Traditional wiring.
dimarzios are the best with distortion
I love this guitar. I never really defined a dream guitar until I played this one. I love the blues and this guitar is a blues monster.
It is indeed a blues monster!
Great demo. Thank you.
Thanks
These sound amazing. Thinking about throwing them into my super strat (assuming there are no compatibility issues and so forth).
There shouldn't be a problem. The wiring options available are quite a few with these.
Is it the same guitar configuration as Lincoln Brwester?
Pretty much! The only thing is it doesn’t have the fancy wiring the Lincoln Brewster strat has. It had the standard volume, tone, tone layout.
violão do frei gilson.
Sounds great. I purchased mine for a screaming good deal 6 months ago. I'm relatively new to guitar. How would you say this one stacks up with other Martins & Acoustics & pickups? I haven't found that much info or demos on the guitar. Normal I do a ton of research first, but this was an impulse buy that I'm pretty happy with.
Same here as far as the impulse buy! This guitar just had the mojo and vibe, and I compared it to quite a few other guitars but kept coming back to this one. I had a GPCPA3 some years ago, and the pickup system on that guitar was amazing, but it didn’t have simple controls as this one does. My previous GPC 11 had the MX-T system, and it was decent but nothing compared to this. So pickup wise, this guitar gets a pretty solid sound.
Just finding this, sounds great. What settings on the Helix?
They are some presets I came up with using some IR’s I bought. I believe the amp is the Solo 100 with the Minotaur OD and Compulsive Dr.
That is a sweet clear sound. I just got a pair of air classics today from dimarzio. Plan on putting them on my 12/6 later this month. Can't wait. Great demo.
For some reason the HH models doesn't sound good like the single HH models. I have a Ray24 and Ray34 Single HH and they sound a lot better than my cousin's Ray34 HH, HH sounds like muffled or something...
Very nice demo, Sir! Mine arrives tomorrow!
Thanks. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your guitar and have a hard time putting it down!
Was the bass plugged in?
Nice! Especially liked the ambient sounds.
Thanks! Appreciate it!
I have any S2 McCarty 594 too. I put PRS 57/07 pickups in it, so it would be an 100% American made PRS. It roars now. I just ordered a Core model 594 in Orange Tiger from Sweetwater. Turns out, I'm getting the last one. PRS discontinued the color.
I can imagine how that S2 sounds with those 57/07s. Way to go on that last guitar of that color.
Are those thornbuckers, thornbuckers II ot thornbuckers plus?
These are just standard Thornbuckers.
@@pnbonilla Thanks, Bro!!! Keep doing what you do, you do tt great!!!
Hello there! How they sound compared to the stock ones?
I wouldn’t be able to tell you. I got the guitar used with these pickups already installed. I can say that they are great pickups. Very well-balanced.
The clarity of these pickups amaze me, takes gain so well without colouring the tone of the pickups. Thinking to put the same pickup combo in my USA Strat. Thanks for the demo!
Anytime. 2 years ago they were kinda difficult to find. Hopefully it's easier nowadays.
MAN!! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?
Excellent demo. Thank you!
Thanks. Much appreciated.
i like the sound of david gilmour and jimi hendrix do you think his dimarzio pickup can be good
I’m sure you could tweak your settings to attain a sound close to those tones. They are very versatile.
How to sound like Lincoln Brewster without breaking the bank! Nice!
Yeah. Pretty much! Lol
Damn fine playing! I wanted it to keep going! I've been thinking about getting this same pickup and now I think I'm sold on it. Thanks!
Thanks a lot! The AT-1 does have some good tone to it.
🙌 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚖
I have a Mccarty 594 core model, it's an amazing guitar. But if my budget was lower, an S2 with great pickups is the best option in terms of Price/quality...no doubts. Great choice mate!
Thanks! I was a bit skeptic at first having never tried a PRS, but once I played this I was like “I get it now.” I can imagine how the core model plays, but you’re on point about the S2 model with good pickups.
