Frank, founder of BeBright Coffee, US Barista Champion of 2023, and just a loving individual, shares with us a simple recipe with the Dwell Dripper from Verve Coffee. With his recipe, you get a lovely juicy and sweet, clean cup of coffee.

Ratio: 1:16
20g of medium-fine grind coffee (since extraction will be faster with the open hole)
320g of total brew water
Temp: 206F (usually as low Frank goes in terms of water temperature)
Brew time of 2:45
- Bloom to 3x dose (so 60g bloom)
- Go to half the total amount (so up to 160g for this recipe) (brewing to halfway mark allows for an ample amount of heat in the bed of coffee)

      We use setting 8 for our recipes, but I believe somewhere closer to 6-7 would work better for Frank’s recipe here! Cheers.

    Did about 1000 microns, tbt 02:52 but tds is 1.18. Good sweetness but mouthfeel is a bit thin. Should I go finer even tho tbt was already long?

      For this particular recipe, I would highly recommend grinding coarser and pouring a lot slower. And that TDS is actually very close to what we get with our recipe (we get a TDS of 1.2)

    If I shorten the recipe to 12,5 grams and 200 g of water does the time also shorten a lot?

      They recomanded to increase your coffee beans as you can , 30g of beans is more better than 25g and 25g more better than 20g

      Yes it would shorten the time, and you would need to either add more pulses or grind finer to increase the time
