Belly Dance Tutorials by A'isha
США
Добавлен 15 мар 2020
I am a professional multi-award winner belly dancer in Kansas City area, USA. In this channel, I'm posting belly dancing tutorials and mini-lessons focused on technique quick-fixes, drills, challenges, and other educational materials. Most of the videos are for advancing beginners, intermediate and advancing level dancers. For brand new beginners I recommend taking in person classes for a few months before adding online classes.
I started my belly dance journey in 2005, and started teaching in 2015. I perform regularly in the Kansas City area, nationally, and sometimes, internationally.
I've studied with many international and master instructors along the years and traveled extensively to attend many workshops nationally and internationally, in most belly dance styles (Cairo, ME folklore). More details in my bio in my website.

This Omi is actually wrong. Your pelvis needs to be out in the front motion and completed inwards in the in movement. Please don't teach wrong techniques to beginners, as once learned incorrectly, it takes more effort to unlearn
I actually do have a tutorial on omies and reverse omies (what you described) on my channel. 😊 It's linked in the description box.

Khalliji does not come from Saudi Arabia please correct this idea and women in Saudi never ever dance.
Where does it come from?
@@BellyDanceTutorialsbyAisha When you say the Gulf then that includes Saudi Arabia but when you want to talk about the khaleeji dance then it comes from the United Arab States like Quatar,Kuwait,Bahrain and Oman.In Saudi Arabia women are not even allowed to show their faces back then and it was criminal for a girl to dance so no one dared. Many artists make this mistake. The men do have their dances in Saudi in groups with swords and canes.Once they have a show called the Janadriya for 3 days where men danced and I went to see with a friend and saw men in a circle and being a lover of music and dance it just floated me into the circle and began dancing mind you I had an abaya so I was not just in jeans but removed the heejab and as I danced the men began clapping but after 2 minutes one of the men came up to me and said to me ok now stop or you will be in trouble and guess what the Jenadriya was closed for the rest of the days and the reason given was that there was a woman who was very disrespectful and that they did not know this woman or from where or I would have been in prison I guess. So there you are .Women wearing hijabs covering even their faces and abayas how on earth are they going to do a hair dance?Sorry for this long story but I thought I would share it with you.I have some Saudi in me and my mum originally from Oman.I hope this helps.
Thank you for contributing and for sharing your story! This is very helpful for me and for other dancers. 😊We, as Westerners can't find a lot of public information on dance ethnography from certain areas. I'll make a reference to your post in the description.
