Good video Callum, assuming this was last night? I was at the passages, fishing was first class I was getting hit every cast and caught around 10 and lost quite a few more. Sunset was just as good

Very interesting! How does the scallop machine work? Does it remove the shell? What does the scallop look like, that you keep, when it comes out of the machine?
The machine just sorts out undersize ones and gives shells bit of a clean , the sized ones are then put into 30kg bags and sent to a shelling factory ready for sale

Thanks for comment🙏 I'm sure in the video and all my videos I say where I am I think in this vid I even pulled it up on Google maps. My rod is a Shakespeare salt spin 9ft 20lb braid mainline and 15 lb florocarbon leader. Hope this helps🙏🇮🇲🎣 if you live on the isle of man head to kelvins tackle and he will sort you out with a set up👍

Love a Bass off the top and well done buddy. Just a note though, try avoid using those grippers in the fish's mouth as they easily damage the mouth. Just stick your thumb in the mouth and support the lower jaw with your fingers.

I'm not a fan of social media,so may well be out of the loop here,but is it a bit slow on the bass fishing on the island so far this year? I keep trying and feel like I'm fishing well but not that much activity yet.

Great video What you need for pulling out of hard up snags like that is a pice of dowel 20 to 25mm with some electricle tape on let some slack off you reel couple wraps round and pull free saves unnecessary strain on your reels 👍
@michaelgibson8549 tbf your right about wear on reels,we travel light to go there but a peice of dowell sounds good ,it's hard to snap 60lb braid and 70lb shock with a well tied fg knot😉

Enjoyed the content, if you're catching tope and even blue shark 🦈 have you thought about tagging them? A foundation called NOA gives all the kit and instructions on how to record the length girth etc and where to send the information. Its important to preservate these species and find out about their travel etc.
Totaly agree, only problem is they trash the boat upon entry.

Yes minimum on the isle of man is 50cm no bigger than 60cm but check your local rules online👍

Well done sir i do keep the odd one for the table usually 3+pounder , i live in dublin bass fishing is good here north or south of the city but my preference would be south where i head off with my VW camper for few days the sand-eel lure its the best all rounder lure in my box,reading the sign at the end of your video rules in ireland bit different(EU) your allowed to keep 2fish within a 24 period , my PB 12 pounder was actually caught on the fly but conditions not always calm so when it blows its spin rod my set up savage rod 9/42grams 9ft and I’ve treated myself to new penn authority 3500 fed up buying cheap reels this one will see my days out ,fly rod 9wt. Good luck to you and tight lines.
