I really feel for you man. I have been watching you for a long time. But, we have to be honest with ourselves, the Type R as track capable as it may be, is simply not meant to be a track car. Things are going to break constantly. I do want to say that I think you are a damn good driver and if you love tracking the type R so much, maybe its time for you to just suck it up and buy a TCR. The way those things are built it would be really hard for you to break anything on it.

Did you remove the head for the head stud upgrade and resurface Or did you just change one head stud at a time.

Good lap! Can save a bit of tire and time in the corkscrew and the lasts sector! Turn 4 looked damn near perfect! When the R is ready with the mods you have waiting, you will be faster for sure! Keep pushing and keep recording!

Fk8 and FL5 have water to oil transmision cooler. Soooo if you overheating you heating also oil in transmision.... Fk2 have air radiator for transmision oil.

Noticed for podium sprint you started going to 2nd gear for the final corner and it seemed to help your drive out onto the straight as well! Awesome to see - get that record and looking forward to a break down on the cooling package and if it can be retrofitted to an FK8.

I’m sure that this on your radar already Michael but supposedly the recent Honda Performance mods applied to the Acura Type S prototype will also be available in some other form for the FL5 platform as well. I’m specifically referring to the new front clip that houses the dual oil coolers…let alone the other options that reduced the car’s weight by 200lbs. Forgive me if your current oil cooler solution is superior aftermarket wise to Honda’s future option…heard you mention on your one video that testing your new system…results were positive…I just haven’t seen the video showing what your choice was. I’ll find it later…

I just went through this myself, just before a event in Australia called honda nationals. Problems kept arising with me getting there that were out of my control. Anyhow, long story short, I made it.. then i crashed the car. That was God telling me don't go but i didn't listen, however I am alive and thats the main thing, also, for how hard the crash was , the damage is actually pretty minimal! Again, thank god for that.
