Hiking Alone On A Haunted Railway At Night
#Hiking #Alone #Haunted
In this video I take a short hike along the Moonville Rail Trail in Zaleski, Ohio. These railroad tracks have been here almost 200 years, and are currently used as a scenic hiking trail in the daytime, however at night time they take on an entirely different feel. Many people have seen and experienced strange things in the area of the trail at night. It was a quiet night but the trail did not disappoint.

    The rock thrower at Moonville is said to be Baldie Keaton. Supposedly back in the 1800s Baldie was attacked, beaten and robbed at the tunnel entrance. He's said to sit on top of the tunnel entrance and throw rocks to keep people away. We did have an experience once of rocks thrown, it was inside the tunnel though and none were thrown hard.

    Just came across this video. As you were speaking about hearing a baby cry while you were along Raccoon Creek, back in 2010, we walked along that very path toward the tunnel. Going in I was recording video of the path we were taking, right about where the path was closest to the creek the camera audio picked up a female voice that said "See the baby?" There was only the three of us on that path and no one else was in the area. None of us heard the voice in real time, it was only during playback later that it was heard. That was just one of several strange recordings at Moonville.

    Nice video! Unfortunately when they originally built the monument atop last stand hill & then the road from there along battle ridge they really messed up everything. the marker for Custer is not actually where he fell. The actual hill was 15 feet higher than what you see today...& it was relatively narrow, only a 30 foot diameter flat knoll on top. atop this were six dead horses in a circle & a few men & Custer was found just under the lip of the top of the knoll. then the remainder of the troops & the rough circle of dead horses were scattered a bit wider & longer down the west slope of hill. The Custer hilltop & battle ridge are therefore about 15 feet lower now because of the paved road than at the time of the battle. Terrible original work done in terms of battlefield conservation. they have done a far better job in the past 50 years to preserve things.

    • @ExploringIntuition
      @ExploringIntuition Год назад

      thats terrible to hear that there were some flaws in the original restoration. that would make the original location in the middle of a road then by today's standards? hard to believe its behind you instead of in front of you. no matter what, its a location with tremendous feeling and history. thanks for watching!

    Back in the early 90's we took our kids to Shawnee. Back then the cabins had no air conditioning. Boy was it hot and humid. Walking back to the cabin one night from the pool we were greeted by a very large family of skunks hanging out on our porch. We had to wait quite awhile for them to leave. We did have a great time. One other night we had a story teller and singer come to a group campfire. He was a great story teller, and he sang "Dead skunk in the middle of the road stinkin to high heaven."

    Wow, those creepy voices at the end, it sounds like arguing between a growly voice and a whispery voice/collective for sure. I listened over and over again with headphones, focusing on the different voices/octaves each time. Listening through focusing only on one voice at a time helps. Here is what it all sounds like to me: 17:25 - growling voice: "let me go" ... "what are you doing, bad, bad, bad" 17:38 - growling voice: "i wont do that" ... "ever" 17:44 - whispering voices: "hang the rope" 17:45 - growling voice: "my (???) wont die" 17:49: - whispering voices: "they hate you, you give them (???)" 17:52 - growling voice: "no, liar" 17:56 - whispering voices: "its true" 17:57 - growling voice: "murderer, liar" 17:59 - whispering voices: "yes you did" .. "we know what you (???)" 18:05 - growling voice: "we'll burn" 18:06 - whispering voices: "we want you" *breathes heavily* "drained" 18:16 - whispering voices: "we want you inside like us" 18:20 - growling voice: *gags* / *struggles* "no, no" 18:29 - whispering voices: *sounds like some weird inhaling/gagging noises too* 18:39 - whispering voices: "now you'll stay here when we both stray beyond the universe..." *trails off* Super weird and creepy. If that was all just crow noises, wtf lol Also you mentioned Dogman in the video, that's interesting because the growling voice evokes a vibe like that, it even sounds like its morphing between animalistic barking-like sounds/growls and then actual verbal language mixed in, and kind of back and forth throughout. And then the whispering voices come across more like an EVP, the way it speaks kind of in a drawn out weird dialect, etc. While the growling voice sounds more like a physical voice or noise that was recorded like with the rocks movement, etc. The whole convo almost seems like a physical being, perhaps a dogman, being haunted and harassed by another/other spirit(s). So your recording would be half cryptid actual recording, and half spirit EVP, if thats the case, in some kind of bizarre interaction. The really freaky part to me is how soon you arrived back to pick up the recorder right after it all went down, you just missed whatever it was. Interesting video regardless, subscribing. Hope you and your family stay well.

    • @ExploringIntuition
      @ExploringIntuition 2 года назад

      I think that is a terrific analysis, and a great way to describe the sounds i heard too. Something between human and animal, as if they're trying to mimic speech patterns they've heard. I also think that the EVPs are extremely intriguing, i don't know if they are related but i feel that they are somehow. The very last EVP i have recorded, as the voices are moving away..i clearly heard "Indians." Which is REALLY intriguing, considering that hollow was allegedly the site of a murder of a white man, by Indians (or is that what they thought they were?) Also, it was not lost on me that the voices moved away only minutes before i arrived. Perhaps the hollering was a warning that someone was coming? Perhaps they were not finished with whatever they were doing in the area and didn't like having to leave abruptly? All fun to think about at least. I will go back again sometime.

      I’m glad you heard those too. Some very odd things happening there if you listen closely. I did see something once near the area about 10 years ago. My mom saw it also. We were driving through the woods at night, and both saw a bipedal creature with full eye shine, stepping down from a bank into a creek bed. We both did not say anything at first, and about 20 seconds later we did the “did you see what i did?” and both agreed we had.
