I was in attendance. This performance was one that I was determined to see up close, so I traversed the crowd, around a large pond that had formed in the middle, and squirmed my way up toward the front as this song was starting. I saw what looked to be an open area right up toward the rail so I headed for it...there was a naked dude dancing like he just didn't care and, well, I didn't care either, so I entered his radius (still kept a safe distance) and had a great vantage point right up front! Does anyone remember the naked dude in that spot? haha

30 years ago today! The highlight of my weekend there.

Joe Cocker was 1 hell of a performer. Seen him in Central Park in 1980. Joe also won an award for his version of his cover of the Beatles song "With a little help from my friends." Of course when you make a cover of any song that was originally done by another band you must get the original bands permission because royalties are involved. Gee after working in the music industry for 37 years 5 months I guess I did learn something ! 😊😎

Rest in peace Joe Cocker. I saw him live in the Columbia Gorge with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Tragically both are now dead. Honestly, I’m mostly a metal head, but that was one of the greatest live shows I have seen in my entire life.

You know, they all grew up next door to each other. Beatles from liverpool. Ozzie from Birmingham. Joe from sheffield. Joe cocker is one of of the best vocalists that's ever lived.

Yes--everybody at Woodstock 94 knew he was older than at the first Woodstock, had less hair than in 1969 (that was true even in the Seventies), & that he was clean and sober. He knew ;) it, too. :) He sings a bit more with his cleaner voice & lets loose towards the end.
