Redemption Reveal..Is it a Bedard?? Hobby is the People E25
Was this after he deleted all his socials and went MIA?
This is an old episode
This was great, Anson is the man!
where do you find your guests?
Some I know, some I follow, some are recommended
Awesome job fellas! Truly enjoyed it!
Thanks Mike!
did have another comment that I didn’t want to combined with my previous one. while we have dealers and collectors who are nice like yourself, I’m not sure how many perspective buyers will approach you when Cards are marked with older comps unless they know you. In my situation, I’m thinking about the three annual Philly shows. we have so many dealers there that actually let it be known They are insulted if you question a price. Obviously, some of these dealers are museum, display collectors, who think they can sell if someone meets their absurd prices. Many of them, though are every day people with side jobs who probably adjust their prices a couple times a year and usually only when the cards appreciate. On the flipside, maybe some of them just brought into some cards at too high of prices. I guess my point is I would not expect most people to question listed prices unless they have a established relationship with you
Solid point indeed and think that's correct in more cases than not
Fantastic episode John. Love the honesty. Being on the other side of the table I still totally understand your perspective. We haven’t met each other at a show yet so I’m not aware of the size of your inventory. Did have a question. If you had to review Cards for each show, how long do you think it would take you to do the comp exercise? How about the time it takes to do the comp exercise for just Cards in display cases? I know both exercises are time consuming.
Gave a video like. Nice episode!
Can we all agree that there is nothing national about the National? When it is in Chicago for 3 years in a row, it's not national.
Gave a video like. Always fun to hear what Chris Sewall has to say. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.
I laughed my ass off! Enjoyed the episode. I actually just listened to it on Spotify and wanted to leave a comment. I'm bummed I couldn't be on the live stream!
Gave a video like. Always enjoy Chris Sewall. Another great episode, thanks for sharing
Just so STEVE knows I got the chance to read this book prior to it's release dat- I have taken it on and every chance I get I am doing beast to talk about it and make this a best seller! My review:A book that takes us from the ineffable excitement of buying and trading baseball cards in our youth (and many of us as old men), Steve Wiegand's "The Uncommon Life of Danny O'Connell" is a masterfully written, historically accurate narrative that tells the story of "The Great American Pastime" from the perspective of the "every man" who dreamt of baseball stardom. A dream that he hoped would eventually lead to him managing in the Big Leagues. He would achieve neither. A tale overflowing with delicious stories of brushes with greatness and encounters with true legends of the game, Wiegand uses the common thread of the colorful journey of O'Connell to successfully weave a story to rekindle a love I have for a game that has been the backdrop of the American Dream. Taken from us too soon at the young age of 41. The story leaves us wanting to hear just one more story. Just one more song from this quietly magnanimous individual. Long live baseball-Long live Danny O'Connell.
Lance Parrish was an AL & NL All Star catcher
I still think ten yearly inductions is too many! I feel the same way with the baseball card Hall of Fame as well! Limit it to five so you can actually get some solid years out of the exercise - and you can get some REALLY good debates going about what cards have to wait an extra year.
great chat guys. Loved it
Awesome bro. 🔥 👊 🔥

Great conversation with the cousins, great guys. Need to see them more!
👊
Excellent subject guys! When I heard “well we’re apart of it!” Love the honesty! You just do not hear that enough these days. That’s where you know what “influencers” to trust 🍺
Thanks TJ, not a big fan of the term influencer because it puts too much emphasis of telling people what to do. I'm here to promote the hobby and help people as much as possible while also learning myself.
I agree
