@Salesforcebreak , I use a combination of Claude, VS Code and coding assistants Aider and Cody to take a rough list of requirements and with a series of standardised prompts, I create detailed requirements, user stories and sprint documents. Then I use Aider in VS Code to aid with the implementation, repository commits and project progress. It's a very iterative process.
Hi @Salesforce Break, I followed all the steps in the help article, but I'm not seeing the option to create a draft flow using Einstein. Could you please assist me with this? thank you
This was scheduled to be GA by now, I am not sure of the latest status. But even if it is GA, it requires at least one single paid Einstein license (e.g. Einstein for Sales or Einstein for Service).
I do apologize if I am leaving a random comment here but figured I’d start somewhere. Looking to upgrade my Business Analyst skills on/for Salesforce- Any leads would be appreciated- thank you! 😊
No worries. Please look up Vanessa Grant and and Pei Mun Lim (@OnThePeiRoll) on Google. BA is their area on the Salesforce side.
Big thanks to the last 30 seconds this video! That trick saved me an unknowable amount of time, and this is the only place I found anything like it.
You are most welcome. I need to do more short videos on tips like this.
Is it like new offering from Gearset because I remember seeing XML version of flow metadata in gearset but not visual representation of flow itself ?
Yes, this is brand new. Definitely watch the video. It is not long. But if you don't have time now, advance to 3:00 you will see it. It is very good. You still have the XML option.
This is amazing - is there any concern with regards to using these components if you are consulting for a client in the public sector?
You would have to ask the client. There are clients that may not allow these. However I know consultants use these component in client Orgs. I have.
Thanks Sir, this saved me a lot of work!
@@MichaelAraujo-i9u you are most welcome
How are you able to use a text collection in the Transform element? I only have Record and and Apex-Defined as options. thanks
This is available in Winter 25. Try it in a preview dev org, sandbox or pre-release trial org that runs on Winter 25.
Oh nice!! That’ll be huge with saving loops, I was working on a flow last week where this will be super helpful!
@@HouseOfShanks awesome, Shanks, thanks for watching.
Great video. I really appreciate how concise you are in your explanations of features. Thanks!
I am happy you like it. You are most welcome.
first comment, woohoo!
Congrats!
Thanks Andy! This is very helpful!
You are welcome. Remember the profile based flow access, that came after this video.
Everyone is jumping to NO CODE
Low code, no code, pro code. Whatever works in your case.
It would be helpful if u showed us how to activate Einstein for flows
I can’t because it is not available other than closed beta. Salesforce should make an announcement soon for the open beta phase.
@@SalesforceBreak how to use tat Nw, any trail closed beta orgs available?
In my org Einstein feature not available any reason?
Check other comments please it is in closed beta.
Is it t build from Einstein for developer in vs code we can create flows ??
This is not Copilot if that is what you are asking.
Great explanation, how shall I try this in dev? Any possibilities to get a dev org with Einstein enabled?
If you are not a partner with Salesforce, you cannot try it yet. It is in closed beta. It will be in open beta soon (maybe within a month). I'd imagine it would come to partner demo/dev orgs then. If you want to try it as Salesforce customer in a prod, dev or sandbox org, you can join the open beta once it is announced as long as you have purchased at least one Einstein product. Salesforce should announce and clarify this all soon.
@@SalesforceBreak Thanks
Great work Andy! Loving it! 👍🏾🤙🏾👍🏾
Thanks, Will.
Super helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
You are most welcome.
Yumi - you are the best flow instructor from whom I’ve ever taken a class. I’ve been working in Salesforce for over 13 years. However, I came to flow a bit late. I’d been working at a company that used process builder mostly, and the team wasn’t comfortable moving to flow. So when I moved to another company in 2022, I dove in and crash coursed myself in flow knowing that Salesforce was retiring process builder and workflows. Needless to say, I had lots of catching up to do! I took a variety of courses on Udemy, but most instructors talk too much. I just wanted to dive in, and that’s what you did in your course. You work effortlessly, which has transferred to me now! I just needed clarification on some things, and that’s what you’ve done. My confidence has skyrocketed. Thank you!
Been a subscriber since pandemic and still here. Very Helpful! Thank you!
Music to my ears. Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
Superb Summary.
Thank you. I am happy you enjoyed it.
Great content!
Awesome. I love the feedback. Thank you.
I don't see any value from turning on the Automation App currently do you?
Why not use it. I like the searchable list view. Salesforce will be building new functionality on top of this in the coming releases.
I wanted to try these but my environment doesn't suggest generative AI for flow building. Do you know how I can enable this feature? I am using a Generative-AI-enabled trailhead playground.
You cannot at this point. It is in closed pilot/beta phase. But good news, with Summer 24, it is going to be in open beta. The terms should be announced soon.
I'm not able to see Run Flow on the guest profile. Did I miss a step?
A couple of things changed since then, you may have to give explicit access to the individual flow on the guest profle. See: help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.flow_distribute_security.htm&type=5
@@SalesforceBreak Unfortunately, my scenario doesn't seem to be working. I have a guest as an API user for an managed app. The issue is that when the API updates the status of a order, there should be a flow to email a list of individuals notifying of the change. But since the API user making the change is a guest, the flow doesn't trigger. Also, this is a record triggered flow
@@KevinSpecialKcan you publish a platform event. Platform event triggered flows can be set up to change context.
Hi @SalesforceBreak, I really enjoyed your video! I also watched your "New Salesforce Flow Features in Summer '24" video. I was wondering if you could demonstrate email token threading in a future video. I'm curious about how it works, whether it applies to all objects, and if it functions similarly to email-to-case. If you could create a video covering these aspects, that would be fantastic!
I will add this to my to-do list, but I am not sure I will get to it soon. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Very interesting to watch the outcomes. Great scenarios that you put together, with variety, too. Thank you for the walk through.
Thank you for watching.
Thanks for taking the time to explore the Einstein Flow builder capabilities. Very interesting. Nicely done.
Thanks, Matt. Thanks for the comment, too.
Super Summary, thank you. These are all big shifts in the way we address a solution and even oversee an instance. SF is full steam ahead.
Exciting release. Agreed.
Somebody asked. I don’t think I will make a video on the URL redirect change. My understanding is that you need to add your sites/URLs here to avoid potential issues. If these are Salesforce URLs you should be OK. help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.security_trusted_urls_manage.htm&type=5
I just watched your video and I'm amazed by the new features. I have a question: How can I access these features in my sandbox? I'm unable to see them.
You can get a Summer 24 preview dev org here to play with this: www.salesforce.com/form/signup/prerelease-summer24/ and depending on your data center location and timing a new or refreshed sandbox will give you the new release. Check the release schedule and info posts. I think there is a Trailhead module for this too.
@@SalesforceBreak Many thanks for your assistance. I truly appreciate your efforts.
Thanks, this was a great overview! I'm looking forward to having a sortable list view for flows, and being able to debug on a selected record in scheduled flows. I agree that having the API names auto-generate is going to be a pain in the neck, though.
Yes, and the list is searchable too. Thanks for your comment.
Omg thank you so much for doing this!! Is the Automation need to be activated by SF Admin?
You are welcome. It is a setting under setup and process automation settings there. To access that you would need to be an admin.
@@SalesforceBreak I don't see a checkbox to add Automation to the App Launcher in the Process Automation Settings.
@@auballble93 the org you have is probably not on Summer 24 yet, you will need a preview org.
@@SalesforceBreak Gotcha. I will wait for Sandbox refresh. By the way, will you be doing a video on one of the components for Summer '24: End of Redirections for Legacy Salesforce URLs? I have not been able to get the support about this update and I'm nervous about this.
Your demo of new flow features was so helpful, thank you very much!
You are most welcome. Please share.
So refreshing to see you in videos! thanks for doing this.
Thank you. I feel your support.
These new operators and this new way of using screen components in decision and also the autolauched debugs are my favorites so far.
Nice. I appreciate your take.
Thank you so much! Was having problems with getting this to run (and troubleshooting was impossible) and it seems it was because I had it in a Create or Update. Switched to Create Only and now I see it work. PHEW! So glad I found your video!
Awesome to hear. Enjoy.
@salesforcebreak Andy - based on this Cautionary Tale of using the Custom Error messages in Flow, do you have any guidance or best practices on how to avoid this issue? Perhaps trying to consolidate any Custom Error messages into a single Flow if used for "validation" purposes? I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on the subject. ~ Thanks!
There are several UI pitfalls with this at the moment. Some are: 1) When you use a custom error message on the back of a record change that can be done via a path component, the message appears on top in red and disappears. You cannot control where and how it appears. 2) The messages appear in sequence. Before save, after save, and validation rules don't show up at the same time. I built many fault paths for a client and connected them to the custom error message element. They said they ended up removing all, because they wanted to see the messages by other automations/code/validations, but they could not when this design was active. I heard a few other complaints but I cannot remember all of them. I think in the future we will be able to do all this inside flow rather than inside validation rules, but we are not there yet. For now, it would be best if you could build all such errors into validations before save flows or after save flows for each object. And refrain from building flow custom error validation triggering on stage changes.
Excellent insight! Thank you for your time@@SalesforceBreak
@@MikeAtCirrius Thanks for the inspiration, this will be a blog post soon.

Great to hear. Let me know how it goes.
Nice tip
Good info. I had an idea that I'd like to display a red flag if I've decided that a contact should not be called because it is not a viable lead or the client is unfriendly. A short video on how to do this would be great. Thanks!
Saol hocam, I didn`t know that we can copy multiple elements!
Great tips!
Updated blog post with instructions: salesforcebreak.com/2023/01/10/http-callout-beta-in-salesforce-spring-23/
Merhaba Hocam! Very useful video first of all! I had the similar requirement and tested both VR and Custom Error for required fields validation and with Validation Rule I had a disadvantage as user was not able to return to the previous stage if they change the stage from the path. With custom error I`m not able to hyperlink the field name like it does with VR pop up message. So looks like both options have room for improvement.
Agreed. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for sharing this great video. I had some questions for SSO in my mind and after watching this video totally understand the structure.
You are most welcome, Adem.
