My Alopecia Story
Here's a video of me telling a little about my life so far with alopecia areata. I tried to shorten it from my head shave video and actually cut it down to about half the length of the original footage. Hope you enjoy!

Me shaving my head (with the help of one of my best friends, Michelle, and my brother, Michael, who filmed). I have alopecia areata, and this is the first time I've shaved my head in four years. Spam comments about Argan Rain products will be removed.

You look lovely. Blessings. I have scarring alopecia and I have no eyelashes, no eyebrows, no hair on all my body. This condition was so painful for me at the beginning but I feel fine now. I feel proud of myself now. 😇🥰🐼🐻

Thank-you and thumbs up to you. I started loosing my hair at 19. By the time I was 25 , I had no hair on the back of my head. Then, I was 35 and the whole top of my head and most of the sides was completely bald . I had patches around my ears and the back growing a little. . I 've been shaving it completely bald ever since . I keep it nice and smooth. Like you, I love being bald and I am very happy now. Bald is beautiful and so, are you. That alopecia really sucks . I don't have it but I shave my head like your . Be honest I love it shaved . I know don't like it but butt you are sure cute lady with a shaved head . You can always ware a wig but why . It is a new style now days . I would love to date a lady with a bald head someday or marry a bald lady . Hair is not everything. BALD IS BEAUTIFUL

I used to shave my head when I was young then I would wear cool hats as to bring me please don't worry as all be fine .Your got a lovely way about yourself just don't stress yourself out as all be fine .stay save .Thank you
You are beautiful. Scarring alopecia has been a battle for multiple years for me and I have finally made the decision for my long-term hair stylist to donate what hair I have and to shave it all off next Tuesday. I originally was going to get my hair trimmed and a keratin treatment. I've changed it up with her and already talked to her. I am ready to show my scars from multiple surgeries and not be sad about alopecia and all my hair loss. Very few know and my Mom doesn't. It will be a surprise next Tuesday for her. Lol! I've been bald before so I am ready. Please let me know what clippers and products I should buy to maintain it. You are beautiful and worthy. Happy New Year!

What are you up to now? Has been a few years Interested in hearing about your journey. I am on an Alopecia journey, my hair is on the way out 50 percent gone
What am I up to... Well, I'm a gas station attendant which I mostly enjoy. Shortly after this video was made I reconnected with a childhood best friend and we are getting married in 3 months! (wedding postponed to next year due to the 'rona) We are very happy in our first house which we bought 2 years ago now. We keep a veritable zoo of animals including but not limited to cats, snakes, pigeons, fish, jellyfish, amphibians, and our dog, Douglas. In short, I'm very well and I thank you for asking. :) As far as my alopecia journey, this video is basically it. I'm just as bald as I ever was and that's okay with me!

I agree that you look better with your head shaved since had some and get rid of the rest. Now that you tired it and see how you look.

I have alopecia areata as well. l have kept what little bit of hair as well. l have been watching the videos of brave women taking the plunge to cut off the hair. l wear lace front wigs so no one will see my bald head but my family members anyway. l am so inspired to know that l am not alone in this. The shame is gone. Since l work in the legal field, l will not wear my bald head in public but l am proud to say l am taking the baby step to cut off this not needed hair. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

Randa Mohammed I'm doing good nowadays, my life is very different now. 😊 It only grows in the same pattern it did in the video, but now I shave it all the time.
I got tired of dealing with my thinning hair and shaved it all off too. I have a really cool hat collection for when I go out in public and they also fit better without any hair. I couldn't be happier and wish I had done this years ago.

I have to shave my head every once in a while because I have trichotillomania... you seriously look so much better than I do. Your head is so round, and you have very large eyes a feminine cheekbones, which makes you look absolutely beautiful^^

Hot Rockin Ronny, It does not, my hair pattern has been fairly similar for about 10 years now. I've never had a full head of hair and I likely never will. And that's okay. :)

how do people react when they see you in public? are people asking you often about the reason why you are bald? I am sure you impress anyone by your strong presence as the person you are...
+aj meier Not many people ask anymore. When I worked at my old job, strangers would ask on a near-daily basis, but I work at a much smaller business now and don't really see enough people to ask in the first place. Of course, my few coworkers asked, but it wasn't a big deal. Besides that, I really just go about my day and nobody pays attention to me lol! Hope that answers your question :)
thank you for your answer - yes it does suit my questions... well you know in this world alot of people are mean and rude - they don't have respect to others but I am glad it seems your world has accepted you the way you are - a woman with strong personality... proud of you!

I have alopecia too and by the looks of it, I don't think it's gonna get any better. Thank you for shaving your head and not letting it get the best of you. When your hair started growing back, did you still have the bald spots or did everything grow in evenly? Thanks in advance <3
it grows with the same bald spots as before. Unfortunately, shaving doesn't fix it.
