I make bad TASes and stuff
BitFS With No Objects [TAS] (Read Description)
This is a continuation of my previous video, which you can find here: ruclips.net/video/YkYbugHcpXY/видео.html
The timestop variable in SM64 is only supposed to be used during textboxes and other cutscenes, but what if it was always active? So, I made a Lua script (github.com/Wade7wastaken/Timestop) to force timestop to always be true. This causes many of the game's functions to stop working correctly, such as loading objects. Most levels aren't changed too much by this, but the Bowser levels are completely different, as they are linear. Some platforms load, some don't and some load without collision.

“Optimize for frames holding A“ is not part of the original challenge, and should not be considered. I understand the practicality, because it looks forward to an eventual zero A press success, but for the purposes of a TAS it shouldn’t matter.
If the frames holding A aren’t optimized, then once the first A press is done, A can just be held for the entire rest of the challenge, only releasing it for one frame every time a full A press is needed. I personally think that holding A for the entire run isn’t really in the spirit of the challenge when the goal is to not use the A button if it can be prevented.

this is infeasible in a full run because you need the mips star to get into hmc, you have to remember there are 2 mips stars and you need 1 of them to get into hmc
Well, it's not really that infeasible. Mips spawns twice, once when you get 15 stars (Mips 1), and again when you get 50. (Mips 2) We can use Mips 1 to go to HMC, then Mips 2 to set the holp for BBH. In the current route, we go to HMC with 45 stars, so Mips 2 will have spawned when we exit HMC. @@Wade7_ that makes more sense, i was confused because in this run i saw you using the first mips to set the holp. Also i find it really funny how people still try to do stars as fast as possible, even tho the majority of the run is spent of the elevator tour

Yo, I know you've probably gotten this question asked to you at least a thousand times but do you think you'll ever try to remake this insane compilation now that the A Press count is at a staggering 13 now?
I’ve gotten this question every time the a press count is lowered lol. But yes, there is one in the works. Right now I’m waiting for a comparable route to be developed. I’m also going to improve the visuals with an a press counter and an input display. We plan to have it done by the end of the year.

Pretty sure there's a spot that's Out-of-Bounds there inside the walls of the cage while Mario was clipping through it, and entering it kills Mario instantly but doesn't reduce his health to zero. This allows him to still be able to collect stars despite dying...

No, the game doesn’t crash, but the bowser fights are impossible with timestop on since you can’t grab bowser, so I just cut there.

You can ask about that in the abc and tasing discord server. As far as I know, there's no new significant progress, and it could be a couple years away
