Grandpa recommends a few classics: 1984 by George Orwell, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller Jr., The Road by Cormac McCarthy (Pulitzer Prize winner).

This is one of the few books i gave 5 stars , i read this last year and now that you are discussing some limitations in it , i can see why i felt almost same while reading it . i never hated wes charcter even when we (reader along with liz) had to hate him . and when it comes to liz's charcter i will say that she was very insecure most of the time .

I'm reading the wizard of Oz in Portuguese. It is the first time I read the book. I've seen the movie two or three times, but reading the book is so much different. Im at the place where Dorothy is spending time in the house of a Munchin named Boq.

I've read every book on here except the Declaration, and I loved all of them! Dystopian is one of my favorite genres because of how diverse and how creative the premises can get. Also, I was pretty shocked to find you weren't in high school. But still, it's a really good video!

i finished this book last night! i agree with how you mentioned that you had high expectations based on the hype it gets, but while i still really enjoyed reading it, i felt like it didn’t quite live up to what i had in mind (particularly towards the end, i loved the beginning and middle and was in tears at multiple moments). loved hearing your thoughts and review!

I liked this book more due to how it was different from the stuff I've read before. It was engaging and has every attribute of a good novel.

I literally just started watching the TV series 2 days ago. Didn’t realize it was a book. Gives me “Almost Famous” vibes.

The selection reminds me of The Platform movie from Netflix

Christopher as a character just felt spoiled and entitled with everything from the way his food needs to be prepared to screaming if he doesn't get what he wants i.e. taking his math exam. His mathematical worldview was interesting but I kinda just felt bad for the parents. I agree that the book wasn't really a mystery as the mystery is solved half way in, and more so on the family dynamics and his growth which I was slightly disappointed in as I came in expecting something else.
