    Thank you Dr Rob and Tami… Dr Rob the info regarding the science of the DNA markers for alcoholism addiction is very interesting and helpful to understanding human problems. Interestingly- there is this story analogy that when Dr Carl Sagan the scientist climbs the mountain of knowledge, he finds the theologians standing there… the Bible explains that the “sins of the fathers are passed on to their children”. In the ancient Vedas they call it karma you inherit from family. Thank you for being the examples of self acceptance, and dedication to being healthy to encourage others to follow your example that healing can happen.

    After all the lies about what they were doing and HIDING from us, and THEM deciding what MY reality is, I WILL DECIDE what I want/need to know, no one else. Unfortunately not everyone can afford thousands of dollars for therapy to help make a safe place for a formal disclosure so i have to decide what's best for me. ❤

    They act out sexually because they want to, because they know that they can use excuses like “ my mom wouldn’t let me go to the store with her one time because I was in trouble for lying about finding my dads playboy, and now I can’t attach or trust another woman ever again because she hurt my feelings, so it MAKES me cheat and “ act out”. Stop it, just stop it already. They cheat because they want to, because they think they can get away with it, because they are entitled, disrespectful people who give themselves permission to have no self discipline, and ruin the lives of generations to come. There’s no such thing as acting out, their not a child, it’s called cheating. Also, to talk to a spouse that has been cheated on, the way you did to the woman who said that he can’t talk to any women is completely disgusting. To shame her in the tone you did was nothing more than victim blaming and shaming her instead of helping her, and you godd*mn well that her cheating perv husband is now going to use the sh*t you just said as justification to now tell his wife to basically “sit down and be quiet, because the sorry excuse for a therapist said your being a controlling idiot, he’s on my side” no wonder these men keep cheating and lying, because people like you Shane the victim. I understand that it’s not practice for him to do what she told him to do, but check your fuc*ing tone and stop enabling theses creeps to hurt people and pass on their disgusting character to their kids.

  • @timothysturgess5985
    @timothysturgess5985 14 дней назад

    I told my husband the same thing, that I didn’t get to enjoy my kids when they were little because he always acted like he was irritated, and it made me feel like I was doing something even though he said he was fine or that it wasn’t anything I had done or that I didn’t do. He wasn’t mean, not abusive or anything, so I’m not trying to imply that he just never seemed like he was ever happy. So I spent alot of time like during events or holidays trying to make every thing as “perfect” as I could, instead of being able to enjoy what was going on. Then after the kids were in their teens I discovered his porn addiction, a severe one. What he was watching disturbed me and I instantly realized why he was so bitter acting all the time and I became furious. The fact that he allowed me to essentially suffer with all the emotional bulls*it over the years was unforgivable to me. Since he wasn’t who he had claimed to be, hadn’t been faithful, and had lied pretty much about EVERYTHING, I couldn’t stay with such a selfish, deceitful, and quite frankly disgusting person. He was the be who took care of all the bills since I had been a stay at home mom, and at that point no amount of money or providing for was worth putting up with what I consider a con artist that used me for domestic labor and child care. So I removed him from my life. I’d rather be poor and struggle and live in reality than stay with some perverted creep that could do that to me or anyone else.

    And divorce with a malignant narc is one of the worst life experiences you will ever have. Get prepared.

  • @kpf2014
    @kpf2014 29 дней назад

    In my experience and life- it is best to leave as soon as possible. If they truly want to change and heal- they need to do it on their time and not drag and take the loyal authentic empathic partner down a road of more complex inducing trauma rollercoasters, false hopes, jekyll/hyde behaviors. In the end after 32 year marriage to a community respected leader and his covert, malignant s.a. narcissism- the person that needs the most therapeutic healing- is me. The cortisol inducing health risks of staying with these addicted people is not worth dedicating your whole entire precious life to someone who cannot respect or love in a healthy way. Staying in these relationships will ruin your whole life while it barely impacts their heath or ability to meet another objectified love-bombed partner at all. The SA narc partner’s behaviors depletes your dopamine and rewires your brain. It is a health risk to stay in these relationships. They need to be on their own. If they truly believe they are in the wrong- they will change after divorce. But they respect you less and less the longer you stay. Because in reverse, they would not stay. Its a crazy making merry go round with someone who did not even have the ability to deeply and intimately connect.

  • @kpf2014
    @kpf2014 29 дней назад

    After being married for 32 years to an extremely covert malignant Machiavellian narcissist SA, MD, with Borderline, Histrionic, liar, bordering sociopathic tendencies with me - once caught… over and over and over - I went through this “dance” years of money wasted on marriage therapy and eventually my own complex ptsd that occurred from so much gaslighting and mind games, victim excuses that turned out to be more lies- he only used therapy and healing practices to learn the “language” to get better at hiding his darkness. Eventually when I heard what my therapist kept telling me- “worked on me”- and when he saw that I was growing, healing on my own, ignoring his toxicity - it made him physically, emotionally, and spiritually abusive. He triangulated and spread lies and rescripted his narrative of our community, who he served and was admired by, where I became more isolated and alone, depressed, and eventually my cortisol levels were so elevated, developed an autoimmune disease. I am sharing this because- in my personal experience as well as 10 plus years of hearing many stories of DV that co-occurs with these people- when a sex addict/narcissist is found out- the best thing to do is leave. They steal your entire LIFE, physical and mental health wealth, community, and ability to trust and have the life we deserve to have- life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. There is alot of money to be earned by this “treatment” and if they are serious about “healing” then they will do that when you are divorced and while the safe, loyal, authentic, partner can continue to live in integrity without a toxic partner. I wasted 10 years more of my life he was caught being lied to more. They only get better at lying and covering up and saying what you want to hear. Lack of trust and betrayal is not a healthy holistic way to live. It really only hurts the partner who has given their entire life to a lie.

    As a betrayed partner we might go through a severe dis regulation and distress and go into our own maladaptive coping mechanisms, and the addict definitely doesn’t deserve poor treatment and should have boundaries against these behaviors IF they are in recovery. But if they continue to act out and gaslight us then guess what all bets are off, imo. Not right i know but im fed up at this point

    Mr. Capparucci, let's see what your degrees are in. Doctor of Philosophy - PhD Christian Counseling (wonder what your original thesis was) BA in Journalism Marketing, MPA Healthcare Administration, M.A. Master of Arts , Counseling phycology. Aidan University is a e-learning, which employs 11 to 50 employees and on LinkedIn only 7 people claim to work there. Founded 2004 the address in a suite number in an office building in Jacksonville Florida. This all says to me you really do not have the qualifications to treat Sex addiction of any kind. As of yet you have found no way to help addicts with the inner children you throw out there, besides talk to them. You don't teach them how to manage them. Yet you say sexual addiction should be managed, and sexual addiction comes from childhood issues with unmanageable inner children. 😮
