A lot of times when something is happening you don't appreciate how special it was. But with Tipper and Android Jones I think everyone knew this was one of a kind. Kind of like that ISAM tour by Amon Tobin. Oh and BONUS COMMENT - if you have never listened to the Tip Hop VIP Mix. Brah, look it up on youtube and thank me later.
32:48 braingazem 👽👽
32:57 anyone know this one!? It’s stupid mental
watching this in 2023 and wow what a great set. I wish Dave would transition back into this type of performance before it's all said and done. That insanely squiggly trip hop type of sound. I miss the origins.
I was at this set, Shambhala 2015 was a great year. It was my first time seeing Tipper with visuals. I had only ever seen him once before at Hempfest, he did a pure audio Tip Hop scratch set. I was so glad my friend literally grabbed me and dragged me away from The Village stage to see this set lol. Tipper's set was so much better than Zed's Dead. This same year had Dirtybird Takeover at Pagoda Stage and DJ Jazzy Jeff at Fractal Forest, what a year,
Tipper is a fucking master 😂
@@ajack1312 damn, you went to Hempfest ? From what I have seen on YT, that set was completly legendary. You so lucky
@@simusic8868 Bro I moved to Seattle young and my older brother in law took me to my first Hempfest when I was 12. That was 2002, I went every single year after that until 2017. I stopped going when I quit smoking weed lol, but 15 years in a row was a nice run. I used to get free backstage passes because my brother and I were part of a grower co-op, back before I-502 and the rec laws passed. Good times... At Hempfest Tipper was playing on a modest lil sound system, under a small lil shade structure lol. It was 100% free. I can't remember the name of the crew that owned the tent, but they used to throw events... Crazy to see him evolve over the years, he was always ahead of his time. Check out the late 90s and very early 2000s stuff he did with Fuel Records. "Fuel - The Loudest Bass On Earth" is a banger that you wouldn't believe was released in the year 2000. They used to test Richie Warren's insane world record setting bass systems with that track. Insane sub bass.
I was there ;)
Me too! Such a dope night.
41:20 43:37
32:48 bonkers
WOW
what has Dave gone through that put these crazy ideas into his head lol
Heart surgery an brain surgery
Oh my god what track is he playing at 29 minutes that shit is amazing
What's song is he playing at 28 minutes?
41:45 ah this was the one that set me off the deep end at arise 🥴
Someone please tell me what song he's playing at 28:00 minutes 😥
Was at this set and I still gotta say.....not down for Android Jones's performance. Like it's pretty, but way to symmetrical and gets really predictable. I danced my face off during the entire set, most fun I've ever had.
Yes! I was here too, my first ever Tipper set. This was a magical night.
forever waiting for that spunion vip
myownsystem I see you are an aphex twin fan as well. Me gusta.
You are not ready
track list?
Track ID at 28:20? Such a tasty groove...
tipper please if you see this out there somehow those sounds roughly around 40:30-43:30, u must make them into a track <3
its from a spunion VIP
@fatcheech1 no it's not it's apex of the vortex from the forward escape
I'm just tryin to live Tipper.... damn
I just saw a ripper show at Okechobee. Keep in mind I had never even listened to the dude.... best show of my life hands down. This guys is fucking insane.
I was at this set in the video, my friend dragged me from The Village to The Grove after they revealed the secret headliner as Zeds Dead. He said "Man fuck Zeds Dead, come check this out." I'll forever love him for exposing me to this. Been a Tipper fan ever since. I had only seen him do a Tip Hop set with no visuals at Hempfest before this. What an introduction, with Android Jones on the prototype MicroDoseVR visuals.
song at 41:15?
Nice quality upload
Optisch & Akustisch - Illuhallu 2018 (Fat Set)
Starting at 29:05 WWhaattttTT?!? Erruuhgghhh. Challenging what a song can be once again.
Is 44:00 still unreleased? Fucking madness.
Sadly yes. Such a banger
25:45 ???? What's the nameeeeSounds like some shit you lose your bag of kittens to on the floor at Tipper.
Shitty music thats pretentious cool at best, sick animation/art.
Bernard Kalz while tipper's uptempo shit tends to be too far on the crazy side for me. his downtempo tracks are some of the best electronic music ever composed.
Don't hate what you can't understand. Sad that someone so close minded found a tipper set.. Definitely not for you.
43:58 <3
Any idea what that is? :D
No clue dude, lot of unreleased tracks in this.
found an ID. unreleased, fans call it either "ocean of pure vibrant consciousness" or "not barney" ;)
apparently, ppl were calling it Barney, and somoene asked Dave what it was called and he said "not Barney" lmao
this is so gold !!
WHAT SONG AT 8:45 SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!
what is the song at 30:00?
Unreleased track that everyone refers to as "Jello"
All the best people are here for the same reason XD!
Before I learned the name, I named it "English Breakfast". Still calling it that.
😲😲😲
I had a heat stoke at TIPPER Luna light cuz I was tripping to hard
Mike Reyes I shit my pants I was tripping so hard but no one noticed so I stayed and it dropped out of my jeans and someone thought I dropped a weed brownie and ate it right in front of me. True story.
Mike Reyes I feel bad for the people that came just for him and couldn't even make it in to see him. it was so packed. but that's the plus of being solo.
this is disturbing
if somebody is that unaware that they pick up and eat poop off the dirt because it might be a brownie deserves what they got. Thats survival of the fittest at its finest
Bit sad that you need that much drugs to enjoy dave the legend
can't wait for tipper and friends this set is fire!! is this on a galaxy note ? just curious? great quality ! and i totally don't blame you for the sideways recording at the end. I always feel kinda sideways after a tipper set lol
It's another beautiful evolution of mind-tickling that the realm of techo has blessed us to traverse!
41:41 what's the name of that song!!!!
anyone know the name of the first song?
Android Jones visuals are S o boring. Too symmetrical. Just comes off as lazy. Since the music is as bad as it is you'd they would step it up in the visual department but I guess modern electronic shows are OK with being simply mediocre...
What?! Don't know if you've ever seen a Tipper set live, but that man is very talented and at the forefront of pioneering his own style of electronic music. He's in a class of his own, some of the most entertaining electronic music in my opinion. Of course it does go right over the heads of many people, which is why he doesn't have a huge following. But I agree with that about Android Jones' live visuals, Jonathan Singer's work is much deeper, and fits his music way better.
Whatsth3ruckus I've been listening to electronic since the era of Aphex Twin's first albums. It's not that it goes over my head it's that it sounds/feels like he's going for something but never quite hitting the mark. It often feels/sounds like there's a part missing from his tracks. It just makes it hard to listen too when it sounds "unfinished". I'd love to see him as a sound producer in films, he'd be amazing at that, but composition wise he takes it to like 80 percent and seems to not know how to finish it.
I guess I can see where you're coming from, fair enough.
Get high and listen to his album broken soul jamboree with headphones. Or see him live.
I agree though about Singer's visuals being more fitting. I think the best visual setup they had was back in like 2014 (look at the fillmore vids) with android jones doing the giant projection mapped octopus stage thing and singer doing the two side screen visuals. That was fucking NUTS
obsessed
Set goals thanks for the upload! 🍄❤️
someone should post a set list for this please

Cool music and Visuals
Hi guys I know you are gonna eat me but I was on the show Tipper and friends and I didnt know what they are gonna play. I was having awesome time . I am more about psy trance and dubstep. But anyway what kind of music style it is?? Thanks for answ
Glad you're into it man! Tipper honestly has a variety of genres. His uptempo stuff (this video) is pretty glitch hop/trip hop-y. You should check out some of his other sets - downtempo, twilight, journey, ambient... They all have something pretty special to offer
