EXCELLENT. You’re the ONLY tutorial on here that shows the actual chords Phil plays. I understand that other channel either want to make the song accessible to newer musicians or themselves are not capable of adequately demonstrating these chords, but I’m thankful this channel exists for those who want to push themselves beyond the same structures we play on almost every song. 30 seconds in I was kicking myself for not recognizing the Collective Soul chords we used to use a lot in worship in the early 2000s. But I can be forgiven since every song seems to be in G capo x these days. Anyway, well done. Subbed!

I love to do the same things you are when I’m playing a song to try incorporate the melody in with the guitar I think it makes worship music more exciting and appealing that way instead of just playing the same old chords, over and over. Hey Den. First off I’d like to say God bless you and thank you for taking the time to teach people and for doing these videos. I just wanted to point out one correction on the song .. When you get to the bridge, the accents change from an add9 to a suspended 4th on the G chord. Not that anyone would know the difference but since you’re a teacher as well as I am, I thought that I should point that out. I like to call those the "Worship Chords" where you play a G, C, and D without moving the third and fourth fingers. I've found these chords in a large number of worship songs and use them all the time.
