I've seen that Amtrak engine 108 in New Haven doing work at the engine pool facility at Union Station.

Started to watch the lowering of the top bench work - couldn’t get through it because of the close-up back and forth and close up camera views. A lot of views of the floor instead of the upper level that was being changed. I chose not to subscribe at this time. If I see another video without so much wiggle and jiggle I’ll reconsider subscribing. Looks like a great project thanks for sharing.

Great review of Rapido’s 44-tonner! I like the ops session you did. It was a nice demonstration of how smooth the 44-tonner can run at low speed. I recently received my Sacramento Northern Railway 44-tonner. I’m very impressed with all the detail Rapido put into it. This is definitely the best HO 44-tonner on the market!

Very well put together and many new techniques can apply to my railway project thanks for sharing your tips and materials used.

Nice tutorial! Thanks. It looks like it was hard holding onto the stuff while painting it. I have been playing with *removable* glue dots for temporarily positioning track. I’ll bet they would be great for tacking down light material while painting it, so you don’t have to try to hold it in place with your fingers. Hmm… Maybe stick it to a popsicle stick, so you can pick it up, paint the sides, move it, etc., without actually touching it.

Wow really nice layout. I like the narrow gauge layout within the layout too. I worked in a steel mill for 35 years so a lot of this is familiar.

Amazing layout and modelling but I ask when all is finished does boredom set and wanting to start more modelling just a thought unless there’s another one on the go ?

Great update. I will give you a tip on the Walthers 90’ turntable. If it is the NON-DCC version with the simple TT controller you don’t have to worry about the tip. If it IS a DCC version controller this tip solved a problem I had with mine. I initially powered the bridge track and controller power off a DCC bus. (I did see the controller in the unboxing segment) It worked fine until I had a few shorts . The TT Would spin around until I hit the Stop button. This happened during op sessions and was pretty annoying. To solve this I powered the controller off a separate power supply rated for the controller in the manual. Putting the ‘controller’ only on its own power supply (wall wart) and off the DCC bus cured this issue and I have never had a problem since. You still power the TT bridge tracks off of DCC bud like for the other tracks. Bill
