I noticed the bark collar was useless. My bloodhound ignored his. Barking was more important than life.

I am a fan of Walkers and their many vocalizations and odd behaviors. It might sound a little crazy, but I have 9, ages 10 months to 8 years old. Some days it is like taking a group of Kindergarteners to the zoo. (I have a 2 large kennels in a heated garage and a room in the house all with dog doors attached to acreage. So, it is very human).

I have a 7 month old Coonhound/Blue Heeler mix and she is wearing me out. I wonder if we should get her a Coonhound playmate? I know she's a puppy but she is nonstop trouble with a capital T! There is not enough time in the day for me to entertain her and I don't want to break her spirit. Would they get along? Would they bond with each other and forget about me? I don't know what to do. We actually think about giving her up but that's a hard thought.

I got a shelter pup that's a strong mix of this. First dog that I owned. He's great. They're really amazingly expressive. I don't remember my Polish Hound as a child being this expressive. Mine's not a HUGE talker, but those eyes. And I love that you can actually see them thinking. Again, maybe since my hound growing up was polish it didn't do much of that, we're not he was a shelter pup. I think his owner had to go back to Poland for some reason and couldn't take the dog.
